“Great hotel but needs improvements with food and lifeguard”

Right where do I start. There is two issues I had with this hotel. But the good first The hotel it self is clean tidy the pools are keep to a good standard. The free drinks are just what you want noting wrong with them a great range. The entertainment guys work had from 10am to 10pm 6 days a week amazing. The housekeeping staff work had to keep the hotel clean and safe. Reception staff are ok. The pool areas are ok sun beds cannot be saved as your towel will be removed. Bad point one for any vegetarians out there not much tbh I lived on chees rolls and chips three times a day for two weeks all salad has meet or fish in I’m a fussy eater so don’t eat past etc. Second this for me is the worst I witnessed by far the male lifeguard on duty most days spend all day on his phone and I mean all day not even looking at the pools. I slipped in front of him twisted my wrist and ankle I was 3m away he just stayed on his phone and a member of the entertainment team ran over and helped me he was a good 15m away Speaking to reception about my two issues I was told management will be told yet still nothing changed and I’m leaving to go home today 14 days not good for a response. Would give 5 if food and lifeguard were up to standard

Went for a five night mini break with my partner and for the most part this is a lovely hotel with good food and is also very clean. Went for a five night mini break with my partner and for the most part this is a lovely hotel with good food and is also very clean. Check in was speedy and presented no problems, staff were all very friendly and helpful throughout the hotel and this was obvious from chatting the guy who checked us in. We had a room on the fifth floor, it was clean and comfortable with a large bathroom. Bed was comfy although it is a case of two singles being pushed together, not an issue for us however as she still manages to get over to my side !! It’s a pleasant walk of about ten to fifteen minutes to the beach and bars next to the sand dunes although there was some fairly steep steps along the promenade so for those with limited mobility I’d advise to sticking to the roads. Good choice of food at meal times and self pour drinks like beer and wine and soft drinks so no waiting around in queues. The only slight negative and the one reason I haven’t given it five stars is the queuing for the sunbirds, at 8am they unlock the doors to the pool area and you literally have to be a part of that if you want a few beds together, staff do try and remove towels etc that have been left to save beds but frankly they’re fighting a losing battle, if you go down later than ten am you’re really going to struggle even to get two beds together. It felt like there weren’t enough beds to go around but realistically they don’t have the space to provide more. So if you’re going here you will have to be up smartish which is a shame when you’re on holiday . Great value for money break and one of the cleanest hotels I’ve ever stayed out.

Lovely hotel had a fantastic holiday food was a buffet lots of choice 24 hour all inclusive bedroom lovely and clean comfortable beds lovely pool area liked the idea of the he pool attendant taking towels off sun beds if no one occupied them by 10 am staff very friendly everywhere very clean only thing that stopped me giving 5 stars was tea / coffee in room but no cups or milk . Coffee machine down stairs only gave half a small paper cup other than that I would highly recommend.

“You get what you pay for”

Landed quite late on the evening of our first day, got there at 11.10pm ish and the bar closes at 11.30, receptionist was great getting everyone their AI wristband on so they could get a drink before checking in, Location is great - 5 mins to the beach and 15 min walk up the beach front to Maspalomas, Room was lovely and clean, was cleaned daily and the beds were changed mid week of our stay, The food, and AI drinks- (this what gives my title) it really is you get what you pay, the food is very samey and not much variation, we ate out a couple of times as I just couldn’t face what was on offer - however this is a personal choice to me, I heard many people complaining about the food but I will say, if you want a 5* Buffet then you have to pay for that, I feel the food was ok for a 3*, one down side is, is that the hot food is all in one area and the ques were horrendous at times, the restaurant just isn’t built for the capacity, I’m Not a vegetarian but don’t think there was much choice for vegetarians AI drinks are served in little plastic cups at the pool Side or at the bar of the 24hr and these are 200ml so you don’t get much and you are only allowed at the bar areas to get 2 drinks per person, I found the soft drinks very refreshing as well as the slush puppies they do by the pool bar, The 24hr all in lager isn’t great and totally different to the Amstel they have on draft at the main when open Pool and sun beds - area always clean, noticed there were ques at 8 when the doors open for sun beds but would say only 20% are taken but and by 10am there are no beds a available, however there is a member of staff that monitors this and leaves leaflets on unattended beds with towels and after half hour ish he goes around again and removes towels of those still unattended so anyone waiting can make use of them The staff are absolutely amazing, all so cheerful and help full, Late room checkout, you have to go to reception about 8am on day of departure and they will see if your room is available, ours wasn’t but they did move people around to make it so, the lady was wonderful Nothing was too much trouble and kept apologising for the (5minuite) wait, I said no trouble at all but she still kept apologising, couldn’t ask for better staff, the fee is €5 per hour which I think is great, All in all I would go back again for the right price but with a mindset that I would eat out more as the food let it down for me
