We travelled for a big family holiday. What was important to us was accessibility as my mother is in a wheelchair, the hotel was brilliant for this everywhere was assessable. Only one lift which was annoying as one was broken think it’s been broken along time. Hotel is great for kids, great pool area for them but as much colder water than the others. Food is great lots of choice in the restaurant. The snack area is basic but good just what you need. Area of the hotel is ok bit far from things but they put a free shuttle bus to the beach. All in all it was brilliant and we would go again

We have just returned from a weeks stay at the Catarina as a family of 4 with 5 year old twins. I feel like I have to leave a review after reading bad reviews before leaving for our holiday I wanted to put people's minds at rest. I honestly don't know what people expect for a family all inclusive hotel. We had a great holiday, pools are good my only bad thing about these is the kids pool in the water park is freezing Cold so my children preferred to be around the main pool because that was more like bath water. Food & drinks we found good, the beer is lovely & the kids could help themselves to sort drinks & water. While there food wise we had a Chinese night Mexican night & Italian night. We always find with all inclusive the food becomes the samie but every night we managed to eat something & put together a meal. The kids section in the evening needs some work tho it was the same every night I didn't understand how they provided chicken nuggets in the snack bar in the day but they were never there in the evening it was always plain pasta, pizza & chips that was the same every night which my kids got fed up with. We used the free hotel shuttle bus to the beach 2 days which was lovely I would definately recommend. We also had with our holiday booking free access to the main water park in maspalomas we went there for 2 whole days too taxi was 10e there & the same back we had the best day there my daughter even went in with the sea lions, 100% anyone that goes will have the best time.

The food selection at this all inclusive hotel is absolutely fantastic. There's something for everyone. We never struggled to find something we liked. There are snacks all day long, and self-service water and soft drinks. The cocktails were lovely too. We always managed to find sun loungers around the pool, and these areas were also clean. There are designated smoking areas for those that need it, away from the main poolside and snack/drink area, which I was personally pleased with. The rooms and shower areas were clean and spacious, with a tv, safe, mini fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. Unfortunately we had a smelly room (434) which was reported a few times but they didn't get rid of it the entire week of our stay and they claimed not to have another room. The other half of my family were in the room next door with no issues. The only other gripe I have is that the air conditioning in the room is set by the hotel so we could not get it below 13°C ourselves. We did ask but they wouldn't change it. Most likely to save money, but I found the room too hot for a comfortable sleep. The sand dunes are a very short walk away, where you can get some amazing photos. The hotel have a free bus that takes you to and from the local beach every day. All in all, this was a lovely family hotel. I would say the evening entertainment is mostly aimed at the younger audience and children but I personally enjoyed the Grease show.
