Just got back from 7 nights here with my family we all had an amazing holiday. Spent most of our time at the splash park and kids pool. There was always sun beds no need to reserve. Hotel and rooms kept very clean. Good variety of food for everyone. Don’t believe all the negative reviews. I will definitely be coming back

“A holiday in heaven”

What an amazing experience we had...better than expected. we stayed here 2 weeks with two small kids and would like to give a big thank you to the management and all the staff including everyone for the great friendliness, great service and most importantly the kitchen staff for providing quality... more

What an amazing experience we had...better than expected. we stayed here 2 weeks with two small kids and would like to give a big thank you to the management and all the staff including everyone for the great friendliness, great service and most importantly the kitchen staff for providing quality and different varieties of food on daily basis trying to please all guests. Would love to come again in future and would really recommend it especially to families with kids. God bless all the people that work here.

“First holiday to Gran Canaria”

Stayed for 9 nights all inclusive. Hotel is in a good location for the beach and bus stops to Las Palmas or Maspolomas. Our room on the top floor (856) was very large, clean, with comfy beds and soft pillows. Plenty of options throughout the day for food. The different themed menus at the evening restaurant provided a good choice of food, but I felt there was a lack of dishes, e.g. Mexican night was missing tacos, fajita wraps and tapas dishes werr also missing from the Spanish night, which surprised me. These would be a nice touch to include for future themed menus. Switching to using electronic dish labelling in the restaurant and snack bar would also improve guest experience and consistency. A good selection of soft drinks and alcoholic drinks was available. The evening entertainment didn't create an ambience and was a slight let down to our hotel stay as a couple. The main act was only on for 45 minutes (9.30-10.15), which felt a quite short performance. Having a live acoustic artist perform before and after the main act would create more of an entertaining, enjoyable evening and ambience for adults and families alike.

PRO'S- For a start, the rooms are really lovely and big, the showers are definitely the best part of the room it was lush. The rooms were cleaned every day, no matter what time we left the room in the day we'd come back and it was always cleaned with fresh towels as well. The pools were really nice, not too cold, for us it was a nice temperature to cool down in. There were always plenty of sunbeds - if you reserve sunbeds, they leave a note on your sunbed and if you don't return within 20 minutes they take your towels off. I can't emphasize enough how great the location of the hotel is, you can walk 5 minutes in any direction of the hotel and you will come to bars, restaurants, shops and in 10 minutes the beach - which was great. And if you're not a fan of walking then the taxi's are so cheap. It was 4.25 euros to get from the Yumbo Centre to the hotel (which also if you fancy a good night out I'd recommend). The all inclusive package was as expected - Amstel on tap and cocktails that come out of a machine. Amstel wasn't bad at all. The hotel has 2 shops which came in handy, one is more of a souvenir shop and the other just has nearly everything you can think of. CON'S- The entertainment is not the best.. The kids show in the evening wouldn't start till 8:30pm, it would finish at 9pm, the 'adults' show would start at 9:30pm and would be done by 10pm....! Half hour?? and that was it for the entertainment. Not great. The food wasn't the best, pretty repetitive. We ate out most days and nights because after the first 2 days we were bored of it already.. which says a lot. Everyone, especially the cleaners, were very friendly - apart from some of the bar staff which I must say on quite a few occasions were rude and quite unwelcoming - this was mostly women though, all the men seemed really happy and were nice to chat too and have a laugh with. Apart from this though we had a nice week and we would definitely return. The hotel was always clean & it's very modern :) We can however see why it's a 4 star and not a 5.
