“Nice location. Hotel tired and needs a refurb!”

Looks nice from the outside, reception area is clean. Unfortunately our room really smelt and we asked for another room however they were full. Looks nice from the outside, reception area is clean. Unfortunately our room really smelt and we asked for another room however they were full. They said it was the wood furniture that smelt - it wasn't a pleasant! I also stripped the beds and the mattress protectors needed a good wash.. very stained. Food was ok for a 3 star, same things most meal times. Wine was not very nice, I am not wine critic but it was very watered down and in the restaurant we were provided tumblers not wine glasses. Flamingo Bar was tired and ripped seats, not somewhere you could relax in. Really needs closing for a few weeks and redecorating. In this bar it was paper cups for all drinks. We didn't feel this was necessary! Pool was shut 3 times during our week due to unforeseen circumstances. Kids enjoyed the water park but this was Salt water and did make 3 out of the 5 children unwell for a brief period over the holiday. Snack bar consisted of, burgers, hotdogs, ham and cheese toasties (along with salad bits) and fruit this was serviced every day with no changes. Bit of a shame but understand it was meant to limited food and you could go to the restaurant 12:45-15:00. Beach was nice, really friendly bar/restaurant which we visited. The cocktails there were a breathe of fresh air compared to the drinks at the hotel. Entertainment - there really wasn't much of that and when it was on it wasn't worth watching. Pool table broke so unable to play on this. Toilets around the hotel were always dirty! Even my 10 year old son wouldn't use them. The information pack on arrival said we weren't allowed food on the last day and we would have to pay extra. We went anyway and noone said anything as everyone had the same coloured bands on. This just added to our over all feel of 'meh'. In summary the hotel is in need of a spruce up. Unfortunatley wouldn't go again!

Not a one for writing reviews on anything apart from holiday stays. Due to this being the 2nd place ive stayed where people have left that bad of negative feed on it ive nearly cancelled my holiday, so like to help give people a peace of mind.. The hotel is lovely for a 3 star yes rooms are abit dated but everything is spotless and the rooms and balconies are huge no matter the type of room you choose. We had 2 rooms a 1 bedroom apartment and a standard room as there was me, my partner, mother in law, 12 year old niece and 8 year old son. Kitchen in the 1 bedrooms - no cutlery and no kettle (read up on this first so took a portable one with us). Rooms cleaned daily. I was really worried about cockroaches due to the reviews but i seen 2 the full week i was there (1 in my bathroom on 4th floor and 1 in one of stair hallways) which i class is pretty good going in all fairness was expecting a lot worse we even spent few hours on the beach at the night time and never seen any at all. Foodwise - was always a different selection but reviews were quite spot on about the meat, alot of it was pink inside like the pork, lamb and beef but i guess thats all personal preference.. personally i just stayed away from it. All inclusive - not so much.. we spoke to a good few families on the holiday that all said they either never brung enough money or some were luckier enough to have enough but didnt expect it to be so expensive. Expect to pay for basically verything bar your food and drink. Every activity on the resort is like 5euro pp +... we took 400 euro for spending money for us 2 and the bairn and ended up spending over 1000.. which we dont even spend when we do 10 nights in turkey.. so yeah unless you want to be bored i recommend alot of spending money for here. Taxis to Puerto Rico is around 15euro and to get to Morgan is around 25euro. We had a heart attack with Morgan being around the corner but they go round in round abouts to get to it due to the road on mountain being closed however we seen alot of people walk the round around the mountain or you can get a bus from the top round about which is couple of euro each way (bus waiting times especially on way back are an absolute nightmare). Pools - we loved the waterpark its so quite and so many seats we spent a few days around there and took our speaker and a few drinks from the shop and chilled around there. The only bad thing is kids wernt keen on water not because of the salt but because it is crazzzzyyyyyy cold!! The pool in hotel honestly isnt that bad the hotel was fully booked when we went and we were always able to find a bed or seats somewhere. BEWARE OF LIFEGUARD - there is one crazy lunatic lifeguard a man who just absolutely runs around telling kids and adults off for allsorts, we watched him boot someones dingy across the floor because a man wouldnt get out the pool. Some lifeguards let you in with dingys and balls and then some (basically just him) doesnt let you. But in all honesty nothing can be done about it. We and a lot of other parents just told the kids to ignore him in the end and he gets over it and lets them get on with it when he realises no ones going to budge. Staff were all lovely and friendly and great help apart from one woman that works on reception, in her 40s maybe with short brown hair, proper bitchy attitude and hung up the phone on me when i rang them from my room. But yeah overall was an olright stay absolute no issues really with the hotel and was plesently surprised for a 3 stars and after reading all the reviews. As a resort i would say if it was all inclusive it would be amazing but it was crap. Last but not least you have to visit Sunset bar down on the beach .. had all the screens for the football and the workers were all lovely. My 8 year old hates sitting in a bar but ive never had him beg me to sit in a bar as much in my life just so he could talk to the workers. Prices are class as well.

She loved the arcade wining toys. Best bit was from the pool bar you can get hot dogs. Burgers and really nice ham and cheese toasties. Some shops and chemists and a couple of shops with wine and sweets. There is a no smoking ban everywhere and you have to go to designated areas. Great staff friendly and the quiet bar is nice for a blether or card games. Pity about the road to Magon is blocked. So have to go to Puerto Rico and can get bus or ferry to Magon worth it as it's a beautiful wee town and great market on a Friday but be prepared to barter.....Taurito had a bag I liked 15 euros and market had it too 35 euros but said no told him I can get it in Taurito for 15 he sold it at 14.95. saved .05 but it was a bit of fun. Don't be put off by the bad reports as a holiday is about you not what others expect. Had a great holiday felt relaxed......

Can be more activities for kids 2 years, and pool was cold. Room clean, staff friendly, food not the best but still can find what to eat.
