We booked this fairly last minute, as we needed a short break in the sun. We selected this hotel as we wanted a quieter resort without children. We are first timers to the Canary Islands so weren't sure what to expect but we feel like we hit the jackpot booking Sunprime Atlantic View. We truly could not fault it. We were greeted by friendly staff at reception and offered a glass of cava. A great start. The reception area was spotlessly clean, with a chilled ambience and smelt gorgeous! We were actually upgraded from a studio to a one bedroom apartment but didn't realise until a couple of days into the holiday. We were in room 208 with a lovely view of the pool and distant view of the sea. The apartment was immaculately clean and the bathroom modern and spacious with a great shower. The kitchenette was useful for making tea first thing in the morning! One downside was that we had two beds pushed together which was a shame as it would have been nicer to have had a proper double mattress. The food was generally of an excellent standard and I would say above average for buffet style. There was always plenty of choice for breakfast, lunch and dinner (we were all inclusive) and you just helped yourself to everything including tea, coffee and in the evenings, wine or beer. They had a different theme every evening for dinner and as we were only there for five nights we did not find the food repetitive. The bar area had a nice atmosphere in the evening and there was entertainment on 4 of the 5 nights we were there. This was essentially different duos singing, some more to our taste than others. Guests did get up and dance which added to the atmosphere. We are usually 'beach people' but as the hotel is not right on the beach, we stayed by the hotel pool areas which were perfect for what we wanted for this holiday which was to chill and relax! Plenty of loungers and on the whole, they did not get reserved by inconsiderate people and their towels before they went for breakfast! As with the rest of the hotel, everywhere outside was immaculate. A choice of pools and a very quiet and chilled atmosphere. There were activities to participate in such as water aerobics and yoga if you chose to do so but no pressure. We did the water aerobics which was fun! We also used the gym which was well equipped. Finally, the staff were superb. Every single one of them was a credit to the hotel - reception, restaurant staff, chefs, poolside, cleaning staff - all friendly and genuinely seemed to enjoy their work. Overall, we would recommend this hotel if you would like a chilled break with great food and a low key vibe. We are a couple in our 50s and were probably in the younger age bracket but there were some other younger couples. But generally it is an older clientele of mainly Scandinavian guests and very very few English (this was not an issue for us). We would definitely like to return at some point in the future.

Our second time staying here, we love it! We stayed on the second floor and we were overlooking the pool. There's a choice of several pools and you can always get a sunbed whatever time you go to the pool. There's dressing gowns in the rooms which you can wear to the pool. The kitchen has a hob, full size fridge, plates, cutlery, bowls, glasses etc. The breakfast was amazing and at the top of all the hotels we've visited. We hired a car and there was so much free parking at the front of the hotel. The hotel is a little way from main street but it didn't bother us as we had the car. The rooms are getting a little dated but that's only a very small negative. We will definitely be back

“#18 stay.”
Our 18. stay here. Nice to see all the familiar face from the staff. As always we got a fantastic welcome from the reception. In the bar it was nice to see all our "old" friends again. In the restaurant was this time a lot of new faces, but also good "old" friends, and all gave us a warm welcome. Only minus this time was the check in, in the restaurant some days. It was like the "new" ones has something to learn. Long lines to get into the restaurant, because focus was not on the guest more on other things. We still miss the hamburger and hotdog for lunch. Thanks for a great New Years Eve. See you all soon

Positives - the hotel is immaculately clean, the staff are nice and helpful, the food was good (if a little repetitive), quiet location (except we did have room 259 which overlooked main road so take earplugs), pools kept at a nice temperature, beds and pillows very comfy. Negatives - the entertainment was very much geared to the older generation although the Friday night duo were a bit more upbeat and got some different dancing to the slow ballroom dancing that dominated, the bedroom was fine but could possibly do with a little upgrade. In summary a nice hotel that caters to older generation and we are not suggesting the hotel should change as we came for some quiet chill time which is what we got. Would definitely come back but not just yet.
