This is an amazing hotel. We had a wonderful holiday. Booked 2 unique rooms. One was pool room and other junior suite. Both amazing. Bed in junior suite was the comfiest I have ever slept on. All extra perks of unique so worth it. Comfortable sun loungers at private area of pool with fruit and water available. Always sunbeds free. Pools lovely. Breakfast in vip area always lovely staff very friendly and happy to serve you. VIP area for drinks 1130-1830 was lovely touch too with cava, beers , soft drinks and teas and coffees. Snacks lovely there too. Loved our holiday here and will be booking again.

I booked a 3-night all-inclusive holiday package with easyJet, so my expectations for the hotel and holiday, in general, were quite low, considering I booked with a budget airline. However, I did my research on TripAdvisor and picked Lopesan Baobab because of its generally positive reviews, a decision I will never regret. We arrived at Lopesan Baobab at approximately 9 pm after a delayed easyJet flight, so the start of the holiday wasn’t great. After stopping at several hotels on the way to drop off other passengers who were also on our transfer coach, I was mildly smug when everyone had their face pressed against the window, staring in amazement at our hotel when it was our stop to get off. I have remarkably high standards when it comes to hotels and where I stay, probably too high, which is why I don’t go away often because the only hotels I will stay in are usually way above my budget. However, I nearly had to pinch myself when I arrived at Lopesan Baobab. It is an African-themed hotel in Gran Canaria that truly makes you feel like you are in a luxury safari resort in Tanzania. I cannot put into words how astounding and remarkable this hotel is when you walk in. As you can see from my previous reviews, I stayed at the Radisson Blu Resort about 18 minutes away from Lopesan Baobab a few years ago, which at the time was the best hotel on the island. However, this hotel takes the crown in so many ways. Staying true to the intended theme of the resort, whoever thought of it or designed it missed NOTHING. They literally thought of everything: the architecture, the decor and furniture, even the staff uniforms resemble that of Indiana Jones or a safari explorer. And the fragrance – oh my goodness. I wish I could bottle it. The fragrance that gently wafts around the hotel as you enter and walk, even to your rooms, smells like the most finely crafted perfume made to relax the senses and make you feel at home. I want to especially send recognition to Luis, who was on hand when we checked in to make sure we felt welcomed and comfortable. He made special arrangements for us, and we didn’t feel like we were ever asking too much of him. Luis, we will forever be grateful for your service to my family, and you are a credit to the Lopesan brand! Next, I will talk about the food. I read mixed reviews about the dinner menu, and I don’t see what anyone could ever complain about. Our package holiday included breakfast, which was the best continental breakfast buffet I’ve ever tasted: juices of over a dozen fruits and vegetables which tasted like they were just plucked from the tree, pancakes and pastries made freshly, cereals, fresh milk, more barista machines than people at certain times – literally there was an abundance of options for breakfast. I paid extra to upgrade to the dinner package just for practicality. There are lots of options close by, but I appreciate the dinner menu is subjective; not everyone has the same taste. But it was perfectly fine for me and my family. In fact, it was even more illustrative of the efforts of the hotel to be truly 5-star when there are a selection of steaks for you to choose from and freshly caught fish for you to cook in front of you, as well as Spanish cuisines – too many options to mention. The area it is set in is extremely safe, with lots of families enjoying the warm nights at all hours of the evening. There is a sandy beach within walking distance from the hotel, but honestly, you don’t need to leave. There is an on-site shop, massage parlour, gyms, at least three restaurants, several pools – there is much more hidden gems, but I don’t want to give away too much :) This hotel is TRULY 5 stars in my opinion. Anyone who rates it anything less is being really fussy. I have already booked to come here again later this year. Last but not least this is one of the most “instagrammable” hotels I have ever stayed in. So may photo opportunities every corner you turn you want to take a picture and the hotel staff are so friendly they don’t make you fell uncomfortable to capture memories at their beautiful hotel they smile at you and let you do your thing which is really a nice touch as sometimes people feel awkward taking pictures but here it’s encouraged!

“Great family holiday”

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Amazing holiday ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ travelled to the baobab with family. 2 adults and 3 children. Stayed for 2 weeks in a family suite. Fantastic staff. Great food. Excellent customer service. Couldn’t recommend enough. Something for all the family.

The wardrobes are made for people 6ft and above so you can not hang your clothes if you are my height 5ft.1. Towels never changed, again standard. Lightning in the whole hotel far too dim
