A great hotel! Good points: Loads of sun beds Kids can have inflatables Football pitch for all the boys to play on all day Coffee and tea facilities in the room- BIG BONUS! Hardly any queuing for drinks or at the buffet Buffet had a decent range of food Very clean Nice staff Well organised Bad points: Probably the evening entertainment. New Year's eve was a good show, but other than that the evenings were really dull and everyone including the kids just headed for the Sports Bar. The kids club wasn't brilliant, but I can't complain too much because the huge football pitch kept the hundreds of boys there all entertained. We loved it, and I highly recommend this hotel.

“Another Christmas trip”

Returned for the second Christmas/New year holiday. Enjoyed it so much last year we came back again and somehow it was even better. Thank you to every member of staff for an amazing holiday, see you again next year.

We arrived on the 30th December for 7 nights. We have stayed a few times before but not since the refurbishment. On arrival first impressions of the beautiful lobby area and the great xmas decorations was wonderful. We had a very good welcome and checkin. We were able to book our new years eve table immediately. Our room was on a high floor as requested. The room was bright, clean and very welcoming with a nice view of the smaller pool and great for the sunrise. We found the room very quiet and perfect position for us. The pools in this hotel are stunning,very clean and with so many sunbeds you really do not need to get up early unless you want to sit around the adult pool which got very busy. The bar service is always quick as the self service areas does take a little pressure off the bars. The food I thought was very good. There was so much choice of everything and each meal was a delight. Great cheese selection too. The addition of the new coffee shop was great and enjoyed some nice Irish coffees at night. The new sports bar was another great addition and was often busy. We did use it a few times and made a nice change of scenery. The drinks we mostly enjoyed. The sangria and aperol spritzes being our favourites. The cocktails weren't really to our taste. Nice to have nuts and olives available at all bars. The evening entertainment was pretty good but sometimes a little cool sitting out. We enjoyed the new years eve buffet as it really was elevated. It did get very busy though. The Band who played that evening are very good and got the crowd dancing. The fireworks were a nice ending. On the afternoon of new years eve was wonderful. A great dance show through the pools and then the dj playing some good tunes followed but the guitarist. That did really make the day feel special but was slightly disappointed that nothing else happened the whole week around this area. . The a la carte restaurants we really did enjoy. It was nice to not go into the main restaurant at night as we did enjoy our lunches in there. It was good to see hand sanitizer around the restaurant but unfortunately apart from us never saw people using it. Do think it should be compulsory when you enter the restaurants. We were there when the neon party was on. We thought the effort put in is staggering. From early morning they are setting things up. I really enjoyed the music but would have liked the violinist to have come back on later. The drinks laid out looked impressive but cocktails aren't for me . It was very professionally done and the security were really doing there job but we didn't notice any problems or anyone being too silly. People just enjoying themselves. Also the lads who were cleaning up if anyone spilt anything deserve a mention. They worked hard and completely on the ball!! The grounds of the hotel are beautiful. The gardens really are special. The hotel is so spacious and with the new areas do add to making it so special. We love to have a walk mornings and found there was always somewhere to venture to. Shops and bars on your doorstep. Overall the refurbishment has made a hugh difference and we loved it. One little thing as we did expect to have a toilet in the sports bar! We didn't see the snacks they serve in there at night so can't comment. My husband did have an accident with the red wine machine exploding all over him. The hotel dealt with it very well and are having the top cleaned for him and then sent back to our home. Excellent service. We will definitely return very soon
