I’ve never experienced such a good animation team like here. ALL of them do amazing job with every single guest from kids to grandparents. During the activities near pool or on the ‘Power up’ area you can have a lot of fun. The animators are funny and lovely. Kids entertainers love working with kids. Other entertainers are the best for adults to have an amazing experience in Gran Canaria. Behind this perfect team their chief ANA is brutaaaaal. Her creativity goes to infinity and beyond moreover on the stage during the evening shows. She’s simply super nice. Thank you guys for being perfectly adorable with all of your guest. Love ya’ll!

We took our 2 grandchildren for a return visit here, having been a few years ago when we enjoyed it The accommodation bungalows are great. It was kept spotless. The whole complex is kept immaculately clean The pools were freezing, but the kids went in but mainly using the splash area. They also used the kids club with which they really enjoyed. I didn't really enjoy the evening entertainment. Now to the food. No night when we went in for food was it hot or not even warm. It was cold at breakfast lunch and dinner time. There are no heat lamps over the food just hot plates underneath. We said about it being cold and then lady put her hand on the hotplate and held it there and said it was hot, obviously not. Some nights the meat was severely undercooked as well We won't be returning to this complex again. Unfortunately the food needs to greatly improve and so does the entertainment on the night. For what you pay, which was over £4000 in october half term, you would expect this, and we do get this for other hotels

Some of our other party have already shared their thoughts on this accommodation and dont want to say the same things. The place and location is great but lacking a lot of information which would be useuful on check in. The food was aweful, cold and changed very little. We ate out a few times to experience hot food and have something nice. We are not fussy eaters but would appreciate hot food over cold. The staff however were great with and always helpful and chatty, drinks were good and a nice little selection available, more available if you get Emblem upgrade but unless the food is different (which we dont think it is) then its not worth the upgrade (not that we were offered the option). Pools were lovely, cold but you could swim and stay in once in, sunbeds were comfy and plenty available. Spa was great, had a few treatments - if you keep an eye out you can get discounts on treatments and the spa staff do walk around offering you offers. Do not book through the spa website, it is cheaper doing it in the complex even without any discounts. Yumbo shopping centre is around 10 min walk away and a nice walk to the beach of about 20 minutes but there is a free shuttle service from the hotel. We have been to other All Inclusive locations in Playa Del Ingles and although we loved the accommodation here, but the food was a real letdown and we will not go back.

A lot of the 5* reviews are people using the Emblem package which is an upgrade, or they went to a completely different resort. We were not Emblem and we were a group of 4 adults who shared the same thoughts. The good points The complex and accommodation is lovely, standard bungalows are large with separate seating area, bedroom and bathroom. Mini fridge, kettle and coffee maker. Each with their own sunbeds and outside seating area. The main complex is where the main restaurant and bar is located with some evening entertainment. The grounds were tidy and well set out. There is a local shop attached to the complex which has a good variety of items. The main complex has a refill bottle water dispensers and coffee machines which is generally available all times with the soft drinks and beer available from 11am. The main pool was large with plenty of sunbeds available and little reserving of sunbeds happening although it is out of season and it wasn’t full. The kids zone pool has a slide and plenty of sunbeds , we didn’t venture here except for lunch times snacks. The pool was supposed to be heated but not sure this is the case. If you want pool towels you can get from from the spa for €15 deposit. I never used the spa but some of our party did. You can find special offers from the Spa staff outside the restaurant at Breakfast time, generally 10% or €10 euro discount on most treatments on that day. Some amazing staff to mention:- Vlad and Steven on reception provided lots of information and knowledge Nicholas and Eduardo in the bar with their great smiles and enthusiasm as well as great drink making 😊 There are lots of QR codes located around to see what is happening at the hotel and additional services available (although pool towels is not mentioned in this). This was useful. The nightly entertainment varied, the team seem to do a lot of work daytime with all the activities then the evening entertainment – they had lots of enthusiasm and passion. Some of the evening entertainment was ok and some was not but it was better than nothing at all. You cannot fault any staff member from the cleaner who was lovely, the restaurant staff who kept the tables tidied and generally anyone you had interaction with. The downsides As many other reviews going back a long time (so clearly no action has been actioned to the comments). The food – was bland, boring and very little changed on a daily basis. Although we didn’t expect 5 star food, the quality of the food was questionable. This coupled with the fact that the food was always cold or barely warm. Unless you had something off the griddle do not expect hot food. This applied to Breakfast, lunch and Dinner. If you arrive at the restaurant for opening time the food would have already been there 20 minutes or so and not under hot lamps. There is another restaurant next to the kids zone which servers Burgers and Hot dogs at lunch but even those are cooked on mass and left out for hours either made up or you help yourself but there was never any cooked to order or constant cooking of these items in smaller quantities so you could have warm food. There was some theming to the meals but nothing you notice too much like sushi night there was an international night but this looked the same as the previous night. The desserts were all the same and whilst some tasted lovely, a lot didn’t or were so full of sugar you would definitely get a sugar buzz. They advertise you can keep the room on for a fee, you have to visit reception on the check out day only to be told you cannot, not just us, a fair few people said the same even though the resort was empty. They could make some extra money here but they seem to have missed the trick although you can use the gym showers (which are not great) and leave luggage in the luggage room next to reception. Conclusion The staff need to provide more information at check in about the water, towel hire and how to get either upgrades or use of the other restaurant which depending on your stay is included for one visit but if you knew what to ask, they would answer the question. The restaurant needs to be looked at this is not good – we ate out a few times and there are lots of local restaurants which were amazing (and hot food!). The accommodation was lovely as was the resort but we wouldn’t return, we have been to Gran Canaria a lot and there are better all inclusive premises. If this was a self catering complex this would be perfect. We would not return to this accommodation.
