We went as a family of 5 self-catering for 2 weeks, we were offered all inclusive on arrival at €2888,00 which we declined We had a 2 bedroom bungalow room 99 quiet area beside large pool, we used the pull out bed in living room which was comfortable for my 16 year old son..bungalows were cleaned daily except Sundays with a daily change of towels...supermarket onsite for all your needs & washing machine room...the staff while we didnt used the resturant or watch the entertainment were so friendly & had daily activities for the kids which for my sons included darts & astro for football...the bungalows had cooker microwave fridge & bathroom had hairdryer, the resort was central it was 4 mins from yumbo center, a 10 mins walk dowm hill 2 beach but the hotel has a free shuttle bus, we went to the irish centre 5 euro in taxi bus for 8 people & same to the lighthouse area (although as a family it was quite expensive to eat here but loads of entertainment. I would highly recommend these bungalow & while we didn't have small children, we saw loads of family's put the kids to bed during the day & could sunbath in their front gardens in comfort. We went to waterpark, amusement park & aquarium & used public transport or taxi as per jet2holidays rep & it was so easy.

Brilliant family holiday myself husband and 10 year old son. We went self catering and arrived late at the hotel but was given a pack with sandwiches yoghurts fruit and water which we weren't expecting but was thankful for it. First night we got a cab to the lighthouse and ate in a restaurant there pretty much one if the first you cone along really good food a bit pricey but entertainment singers and dancers were on too after 9. 2nd night we walked out the hotel down the ally across the road the one before the Chinese (really should remember the names but it began with G) really nice food and service here too. We then decided to upgrade to emblem all-inclusive for 3 days which was amazing so you got all you drinks included even premium drinks really nice cocktails. We have done alot if all inclusive but get bored of the food and getting it yourself so that's why we went self-catering but emblem for breakfast and dinner they serve you your food and it really tastes and looks amazing. The dinner is themed nights so ours was thia, Mexican and Indian. The waiters Ricardo and Keider were amazing 👏 nothing was too much trouble so friendly really was a bit of luxury. One night Ricardo was off and we had Erika who wasn't as helpful or friendly and seemed to do everything and more so for the Spanish. Would definitely recommend the emblem even if for afew days. Last night we walked down to the beach and got a meal in one of the steak houses that was lush too and reasonable price. Always taxis about to drop you back. In our package with jet2 we also got 4 nights to holiday world my son loved this so definitely worth a visit especially if included in your package we also got a couple of games of bowling in the deal too. We visited aqualand yes its expensive but they always are my son loved all the slides but it is very steep and lots of steps so be prepared to do alot of heavy walking. Loved the area of the resort so clean and well looked after. Loved the bungalows nice to have a bit of space around you. Rooms were clean beds were comfy no complaints. Also air con in room and lounge. The pools are great yes a little cold for me but my son and husband loved cooling down. The splash area is great and also a football pitch which my son was often on. We didn't use the shuttle bus but there is a free one at certain times. Can't really comment on entertainment as we were out most nights at holiday world or eating out. I would definitely recommend this resort and we were definitely return some day. This time of year was great great weather and not overly busy we could still get sunbeds even when having a lay in till 10. Thankyou again for a lovely holiday xx

Reception/Front of house 1/10 - from our experience the staff just didn't want to help the bare minimum felt like pulling teeth just constantly pointing at the QR codes instead of talking I found to be a lazy attitude for a front of house role. Opportunities like eating at the Italian restaurant was missed due to lack of information given by reception. I would highly recommend the hotel start emailing information packs for guests arriving instead of just pointing at QR codes as the information isn't always easy to find/slow upload, also I don't go on holiday to be on my phone so really didn't like this take. As an emblem guest I would really have expected a full information pack of the benefits and activities this would have been so helpful and also saved unrealistic expectations come check out as the advertised late check out for emblem is really misleading. We booked and paid extra for what we understood to be a 4pm check out but there is no guarantee of this and we only found out through other residents being disappointed that the actual check out for emblem is 2pm unless you are lucky. Cynthia in particular was *extremely* rude and was a terrible representation of what the hotel is, eye rolling and looking guests up and down to name a few and that's before even speaking to her, we weren't the only family to experience this from this lady. Front of house is your first and last impression of a hotel and this person should not be in a customer facing role simply awful attitude and a really poor representation of what the hotel is because every other department were warm, friendly, polite and professional. I could name a few other poor interactions with reception but honestly we just avoided them and asked other staff if any recommendations or help was needed. 2. Emblem restratuant - 9/10 Erika went above and beyond every interaction felt personal and professional every time. Our children loved her and our experience with Erika would be the reason we would return - first class and a real credit to HD. I cannot stress enough how wonderful our experience with her was and Erika really made our first family holiday as a family of 4 special. Making sure our 6 month old had a suitable food for our stay to remembering what drinks our 3 year old liked - really personable and made mealtimes a real joy when normally they can be quite stressful. Thank you Erika!!! The food was really enjoyable however it was disappointing to not see more gran canarian dishes on the menu, Desserts in both restaurants were a bit of a let down but the mains made up for it. 3. Children's entertainment - 8/10 The staff are incredibly warm and welcoming it was a joy watching Tomas with the children and perform in the evening you can tell how passionate he is about his job, our son simply adored him and he had the quietest of kids up dancing for the splash mini disco. 4. Lifeguards- 2/10 The lifeguards themselves are friendly however they sit so far back from the pool I'm doubtful they would ever see if there was an accident and often are on their phones 🥴 it seems they are more there to stop people eating by the pool which I understand but I think there should be some investment put into the safe guarding of swimmers given how busy the children pool gets. Witnessed a few near misses on slides while the lifeguard was sat on his phone. 4. Pool areas 6/10 Children's pool area are fantastic however the pools are quite cold and as previously mentioned lifeguard situation needs addressing. Would recommend there be an area set aside for emblem customers often couldn't get sunbeds as people will "reserve with towels" often beds werent used for the majority of the day but had belongings on them also felt the half day voucher for Bali bed was pretty tight. One half day I didn't think was good enough. Also food options by the kids pool was pretty poor by comparison to the rest of the hotel. 5. Picnic restaurants and Organic Bar - 8/10 Bryan and Eduardo are extremely professional always friendly and helpful. Drinks from Daniel and Eduardo were always great and food options were plentiful you would be hard pushed to not find something you liked. The hotel is extremely clean and the grounds are immaculate, really beautiful with the exception of reception all the staff we met were incredible if they can sort front of house out I'd have no issue recommending this hotel and would stay again but as it stands first and last impression by front of house started the holiday poorly and ended it the same unfortunately.

We had a lovely week here, we travelled with our son, 14 and my parents. The hotel is extremely clean, the bungalows are fantastic, being able to have sun loungers on the patio is perfect if you want the sun but like some quite time. The room itself is also very clean and has all the things you need, mini fridge, kettle, hairdryer, soaps etc. All of the staff from reception to the cleaners are wonderful friendly people. The bar staff are incredible and work so hard, we had lots of fun practising my spanish with them 😀 they're a real credit to you! The food was good, there was something for everyone. Sometimes things were a little cold, but on the whole good. My only criticisms are the evening entertainment was a little dull, we loved the night where you had in a guest act and the quizzes were quite good. And the entertainment during the day for teens is poor, nothing really for a 14yr old to do. But this will be personal to each person, ao please do not let it put you off, it's a great hotel filled with a team of people trying to make your experience great.
