We’ve been going for four years and rate this hotel very highly.They are in the process of refurbishing it but it doesn’t seem to interfere with our stays.The facilities are brilliant,the staff are superb and the food is fantastic.We understand they are making the the bathrooms into wet rooms which will cater for what does to seem the older generation that goes there .We will definitely be going back.

“Overall very good”

Great hotel with good amenities, the only negative is the lack of Entertainment. What we saw was at best very average and one dreadful, I'm sure they can improve this as we needed to go to other hotels for entertainment. Very good areas around pools.

We have not long returned from yet another lovely holiday at the H10 Meloneras. We go to this hotel a lot as it is usually excellent, tranquil and in a nice relaxing area. Whilst overall the stay was good we experienced some annoying procedures. Booking In When we arrived on 5th November we had to wait for at least 45 minutes to book in as there were only 2 members of staff on and there was quite a long queue in front of us. Our flight was 30 minutes late on take off and we had to wait for another 30 minutes till the coach leaving the airport finally left and there was then a further 30 minute delay due to a motorway hold up. We were told that the queue is long due to everybody arriving late. I can understand that but surely the staff could have been increased or a member of staff sitting across from the newly lay out Reception could have come over to help. There was a 3rd receptionist there but she was a new start and couldn’t do anything. The Manager (?) walked passed a few times … but kept on walking. Our Jet2 rep helped a lot as no one else at Reception gave us much information. We were told to have a drink whilst waiting but the drinks on offer were effectively empty and didn’t get replenished. Another couple were on All Inclusive but the barman refused to serve them as they hadn’t booked in. We have been to many hotels over the years and have never had to wait that long. We then had to wait another 30 mins before the cases arrived in our room. Breakfast We went to the Gaudi every day with mixed experiences. Some mornings were perfect others were not so good with missed coffee orders and then 3 orders coming along within 5 minutes on other days. Staff seemed to be wandering around looking for the table which they were meant to deliver to, but couldn’t find it. Would a table number not help ? The food, when you finally got it, was very good but the staff kept changing. We weren’t told that we had to book breakfast initially but even after then doing that things were no better. Privilege We went on Privilege but only half board. A few years back the only Privilege lounge was just down from the Brasserie which was good as we have always liked to go to that area to sit at the pool, but when the new area opened it was far better especially as your room was close but this year I noticed that the old room was now clearly marked as “Privilege” and underneath it was “All Inclusive” too. After a day or so I got fed up walking all the way back to the 4th floor and tried to get into the previous room but my card came up red, not allowing me entry. I asked at Reception and they couldn’t explain why not so I went to the ”Guest Service” and was advised that as I was only Half Board I wasn’t eligible for that service. Can someone please explain the logic behind that ? From what was on offer, on looking through the front door, was similar to what you would get on the 4th floor, mainly crisps and drinks. Why on earth couldn’t a half board person get that too ? and thus avoid another 5 minute walk. I am a newspaper reader first thing in the morning and went to the shop every morning to get the paper. However after about 5 days the young girl at the desk had changed and the new one said I didn’t need to pay for the paper as it was part of the Privilege package. She told me she could see my wrist band and didn’t ask for the payment. I had a variety of T shirts on but none hid the wrist band so why did the other girl take my money ? When I walked past Reception I asked them why nobody told me this and the lady said “oh, its on the XX leaflet” and then checked and found it wasn’t then it was possibly on another leaflet but again it wasn’t. I’m sorry but these are the small but annoying things that guests shouldn’t have to experience in a long standing hotel, especially as being part of a large group. Management seem to be setting up procedures and then not advising the staff. From my business experience, Communication is vital.

We are just about to check out from the Meloneras Palace and it’s fair to say we probably won’t be coming back. The look of the hotel is great, clean, spacious - a bit of a maze to be honest! - and first impressions were excellent. The rooms are a little dated but clean, functional and quiet. The problems really start with the food. We were there on an all inclusive basis and I was excited about the prospect of the food. I was sadly disappointed. The food is not great quality, far too salty and there is very little variety. Breakfast was the best meal of the day by far, thank goodness for the egg station. Although a Ham and cheese omelette with Parmesan/hard cheese was a new one for me and one I shall not be repeating. What is it with the salt here? The snack bar at the pool is ok but again the quality of the food is severely lacking as is the variety. Other H10 hotels have much better food. We had one free restaurant booking available to us as we were here for a week and we chose IL Travestiere, mainly because we thought you couldn’t go wrong with Italian. Wrong again. The pizzas were very heavy and the Prosciutto that my friend ordered was thick pieces of ham. The entertainment in the hotel is OK, but the outside bar just turns the lights off regardless of whether there are any people left and in the 7 days we were there the closing hours reduced from 11 to 9pm! I understand that hours may reduce in winter but two hours is ridiculous. Staff are nice enough but very robotic and not very warm. With the exception of a few people behind the pool bar you could tell we are a means to an end. Some of the Buffett staff are just plain rude. This is not a cheap hotel and if I had enjoyed all aspects I would not begrudge paying, but the only amazing thing I can talk about are the pools. Loved them. Such a shame. Thank goodness the weather was lovely.
