“Great relaxing Christmas break”

The accommodation was lovely - like little bungalows. Compact, everything you need. Complex was spotless. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was amazing. A little out of the way, but free shuttle service to beach, taxis and busses just outside, although we did a lot of walking.

My partner and I booked the next holiday before we even left! We paid for a day pass in this amazing hotel as my parents were staying here and it was incredible. My parents have stayed at Club Maspalomas 7 times now and I didn’t understand why… until we experienced it. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The pools are really lovely with the rooftop heated pool and jacuzzi being a highlight. The food at dinner was incredible- for someone with a nut allergy they were so accommodating and even brought out a special nut free dessert which was delicious! The entertainment was fab- we were there for the abba/queen tribute act and they were brilliant! On a Saturday night the manager brings all the staff out one by one for everyone to thank them which is a lovely touch. Overall the day at Club Maspalomas was the highlight of our holiday and we can’t wait to spend a whole week there in a few weeks time!

This is the type of holiday we go on every year and this is the best we have ever been on.Its the best of the best.The food in the buffet is sensational and you immediately notice the quality of the meat and fish from the cooking stations.The food would grace most fine dining restaurants quality wise.Dont believe me? then try it! It's just sensational. Now the cocktails.Made to perfection in front of you and they taste just how the cocktail was meant to taste not like the low quality versions you often come across. I concentrate on the food and drink because that's our thing but the staff are fantastic, the rooms are great, gym very good, great swimming pool and so on and so on. I have purposely used the word quality a couple of times because that's this hotel described well with one word. Dont' think about it book it. Lets do an honest review and mention a couple of things that could be seen as negative to some..The hotel is a bit isolated so not much of interest in easy walking distance. Finally the Italian Restaurant..Great food but needs to develop an identity.When we went we were surprised to see buffet customers using the free tables and going in and out during our meal.It takes away the exclusivity which the customer pays for but that's just my view and hopefully a constructive criticism. We have booked for later in the year and would highly recommend this exceptional hotel. Wow I almost forgot to mention.The Gala dinner the hotel put on Christmas Day was beyond even our high expectations.Great show during the meal, fantastic food and unbelievably the beer and wine was complimentary all night!! Yes complimentary drinks from start to finish! Maybe the management could put this on every night!!!!

“Clean and Fresh”

Room 603 was a room and not one of the small bungalows that made up the majority of the hotel. It was clean but had very little storage. The shower was a rainfall with a handheld attachment. It was very powerful, so powerful, in fact that the rainfall head blew off and scratched my shoulder. Rececption was only interested to note if the shower was damaged. The disappointing thing about the room was that the only way to get fresh air was to leave the toilet window open or the room door. Unfortunately, the toilet backed onto the bar/ delivery area and was very noisy from early morning. The small sunbed area at the front of the room did get the sun all day while a lot of the bungalows were in the shade. The food is buffet style so I wouladvisece you to dine relatively early as some of it gets quite cold. We were in the hotel over Christmas, on Christmas Eve the restaurant area was so busy we were seated in a side room with no view of the entertainment. The hotel must have had a lot of complaints as the Christmas gala dinner had a lot of extra tables by the pool and I must say that we had an excellent evening. Breakfast was very good  not a vast choice but adequate. At times dirty plates were allowed to gather on your table although there was plenty of staff around. There is an ice machine outside reception for thoswhoat like to mix their own cocktails. The pool is not as big as the hotel pictures make it look ,but it does have the added bonus of a swimming lane. Only one English couple reserved sunbeds, so there was always plenty at any time of the day. The Faro 2 shopping centre is close by it is mostly empty but does have a good supermarket. If you leave the hotel and turn left then left again walk across the car park to the dry river bed turn right and you can follow the path to the beach which is a leisurely 30 minute walk.
