Large complex with plenty of space for everyone. No problem finding a sun lounger. Several pools to cater for all abilities. Quieter areas for sunbathing away from the pools. Cleanliness excellent, both in the rooms and public areas. Excellent variety of foods at all meal times, you’ll never go hungry! Staff friendly and very helpful.

“Nice hotel but…”

The hotel itself is nice. Lots of space and rooms are clean and spacious. Staff are friendly. A few things let it down. Firstly the food which was really poor and very repetitive. It felt like everything was wheeled out time and again until it had all been eaten. My husband had never been so pleased to see M&S on return to the airport! The entertainment was limited and on much too late - one of the ‘acts’ we saw was bordering on embarrassing - a couple of men in wigs within a dance troupe doing some slapstick, miming to some songs. Not for us. A big issue was the lack of heated pool. It advertises as such but all pools were freezing so it was impossible to stay in for more than a few minutes. This was a big let down for us as a family. San Agustin feels quite remote, some tacky shops and a few bars which we didn’t opt to try. If the issues above were sorted the location wouldn’t have been so much of an issue as it was a reasonably priced all inclusive holiday, but we were left feeling rather underwhelmed and won’t be returning.

Just returned from a week's stay here. The hotel itself was kept clean and can't fault any of the hard working staff. We stayed in block 5, rooms were of a good size and the beds were comfortable. Just returned from a week's stay here. The hotel itself was kept clean and can't fault any of the hard working staff. We stayed in block 5, rooms were of a good size and the beds were comfortable. Plenty of sunbeds to choose as the grounds were extensive. Free shuttle bus twice a day to Playa del Ingles or Maspalomas was a bonus although we chose to get a taxi back to the hotel rather than wait for the return shuttle bus. Taxi fare from Parc Tropical was just over 6€ and from San Augustin was just under 5€ so cheap enough.There was plenty of choice when it came to food but I must admit it was very repetitive, breakfast was the best. For the 'daily specials' these dissappeared within minutes and were not replenished very quickly. Wine and beer on tap, in the bars local spirits were OK but cocktails for all inclusive were dispensed from a machine and frankly were nasty! Entertainment was by the pool and outdoor so found it very cold to sit out and wait until 9.30 before the children's entertainment finished. Instead we chose to sit in the foyer which could have been made better with some sort of nightly entertainment and more comfier seating. Resorted like many others to buying a pack of cards as our form of evening entertainment in the foyer! The hotel is at the very end of San Augustin at the top of a hill making it feel very remote. All in all a good stay for the amount we had paid but sadly don't think that we will be inclined to return.
