“Well located and well run.”
I stayed in Hotel Verol for eight days and found it to be well run, very clean and extremely well located. In my opinion it was a good value as well. I stayed in Hotel Verol for eight days and found it to be well run, very clean and extremely well located. In my opinion it was a good value as well. I found the staff to be efficient but not particularly friendly (or unfriendly). They pretty much checked me in and left me alone, unless I needed something from them. It is located just a couple of blocks from the beach which I found a real plus. I had written ahead and asked for a room as high up as possible and was given a room on the third floor of what I think is a five or six floor hotel. Most places I stay are more accommodating to my requests. My room did not have a balcony or a view, other than of the building across the street. Because it is located in a congested area, I would recommend trying to get as high up in the hotel as possible to mitigate any noise from the street. I am somewhat sensitive to street noise, and it was not a problem for me, especially when I shut the windows when it was time to go sleep. Like most European hotels, my room was small. However, it was modern, clean and had all the amenities. For some reason they like to skimp on soap. I had to go to the front desk a couple of times and ask for more of the tiny soap bars they supply. Both times they graciously complied with my request. The ocean water was cold when I visited Las Palmas in January. So, I especially appreciated the endless supply of very hot water I cold get in the shower/tub. Some hotels fall short in this regard. I would stay at Hotel Verol again.

“good value hotel”
Location near coast. A smal;l friendly hotel. Staff helpful and friendly.Breakfast arrangements a little lacking in quality. Nose levels in room from road could be annoying (Leaving windows open not an option!) Rooms clean wifi reception good.

“Passing Through”
Liked - clean comfortable and close to the ferry port nd also close to the beach and associated restaurants Disliked - very noisy through the night both from guests and people outside in the street as there isn't appear to be any external sound cladding
