Hotel is located with easy access to different areas. Very cheap on the bus into Puerto Rico and Maspalomas. The bus stops are a 3 minute walk outside of the hotel entrance. The rooms are a good size with beautiful views of the sea and Anfi. There is no air-conditioning in the rooms however there is a large floor fan to keep cool. The bedrooms are comfortable and of a good size as is the kitchen. It has everything you need for a self catering holiday. Pool states its heated but we found it very cold. It started to feel ok once you'd been in it for a few minutes. It's a good size. There is a supermarket and a spar about a 3-4 minute walk up from the hotel which is a lot cheaper than the mini market and a much better variety. The reception staff are amazing and go above and beyond to try and resolve any issues you have. The maids are also very friendly and clean the rooms daily except Sundays. The solarium on the roof is very quiet as most people stay around the pool area. Perfect for relaxing and even a hot tub to relax in and take in all of the views. For only a 3* hotel we found it great. Ive had worse rooms/service in 4 and 5* star hotels. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a cheap and cheerful stay in Gran Canaria and would definitely return.

Booking: We booked our holiday via On The Beach. Booking was very easy. Paid for shuttle service from and to the airport during initial booking, instructions provided how to locate driver which was helpful. Dropped us at the bus stop next to the hotel, and picked us up at the same location. Booking 5/5, overall very easy, smooth process, helpful instructions sent beforehand. Great value for money overall. Hotel location: The hotel is located right by Playa de Patalavaca, a small but gorgeous beach with clear water that is perfect for swimming. There are stairs (just over 100 steps) you have to walk down if you want to get to the beach, however you can also walk 5 minutes round and get to the beach without taking the stairs. It feels easier walking up the stairs after a couple of drinks lol There are a few restaurants along the beach. You can walk round about 20 minutes to Anfi beach, with water sports / activities to choose from and more restaurants / bars / shops. There is not much around the hotel, so it’s perfect if you want a quiet, relaxed environment. The bus stop is located a couple of minutes walk from the hotel, near the roundabout. Hotel staff were happy to help with providing information regarding bus time tables. Really easy to get to different places and doesn’t take long on the buses or taxis. Transport: Buses to Puerto Rico, Puerto Mogan and Amadores Beach are frequent and cost approx. €1.40 for one ticket. Taxi to Puerto Rico approx. €8-10. The Taxi ranks have set rates written on the boards. Bus to Maspalomas / Playa de Ingles aren’t as frequent, but also very easy to catch and approx. €2.50 for one ticket. Paid €28 for taxi back to the hotel from Playa de Ingles. Some bus drivers can be quite rude, but usually helpful in answering questions. Hotel: The hotel is quite large, with a lot of rooms. Staff are friendly and helpful. Reception located on the 8th floor; check in was very easy, provided relevant information. Restaurant located on the top floor with incredible views! DISCLAIMER it might just have been me, but I felt so dizzy whenever I went for breakfast / dinner because it was located so high up with a view of the sea which made me feel like being on a boat. I got used to it quite quickly and honestly, the view of the sea and the sunset in the evening was so worth it. We didn’t spend time at the pool. It was quite small and got busy very quickly. Gets quite loud in the evenings, lots of children playing in the pool which is okay as noise usually stops at around 23:00. No entertainment at the hotel when we went, which was disappointing. Room: We stayed on the third floor with great views of the pool and the sea. The rooms were spacious. No air con, which we didn’t mind because it got cooler in the evenings and we left the balcony doors open to let fresh air in. Fresh towels provided regularly. Housekeeping daily. The bathroom is clean, but needs a deep clean around the shower as there was a bit of mildew in the corners. There was a roach in the bathroom which we named Clive, which is quite normal for a hot, sub tropical climate. If you’re a light sleeper, bring ear plugs. To be expected in a busy, large hotel so it can get quite noisy. Food: Sooo many delicious options for all dietary requirements. A lot of fresh fruit and vegetables, great dessert options. Really impressed with the food. Buffet style at breakfast and dinner. FYI: Drinks not included at dinner time and you do have to pay for this. Not a big deal, we just weren’t aware. Approx. €2.50 for Coca Cola, €3 for a pint of beer. Overall I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a budget friendly holiday in Gran Canaria. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

“Ok for price I guess, but room for improvement.”

Hotel organised the taxi for us to get to the hotel from airport for €60. Fair price and the driver was waiting there for us upon arrival and took about 30 mins to get to hotel. Hotel organised the taxi for us to get to the hotel from airport for €60. Fair price and the driver was waiting there for us upon arrival and took about 30 mins to get to hotel. Once in the hotel checked in and then went down to room, the rooms do NOT HAVE air con, they provide a fan which just blows warm air around the room and is hard to sleep with it on. The floor was dirty having to wear our sliders the room to keep our feet clean. There was also a lot of dead bugs and live ones scattered around the room such as mosquitoes and 1/2 cockroaches. The towels provided need to improve. Many have tears in them and very thin. The ventilation in the shower rooms also is quite bad. Upon leaving we asked to keep the room for a further hour as we were leaving late afternoon and we couldn't get told til the morning before leaving which is a bit of an inconvenience. How they can't tell you before hand is pretty strange.... no other alternative was offered either which is a shame. Positive's were that there were many sunbeds available at this time of year. Pool was clean. A bus stop just over the road to take you into Puerto rico which is great with a lot going on for just €1.40 PP. A spar supermarket is just over the road also.
