The only reason for giving 4 stars instead of 5 was because of the various ramps and stairs around the hotel. There are several lifts that go to different floors but because there are only 2 and 3 levels of suites able bodied guests will have no problems. We however are in our 70’s and it was quite tiring as some of the ramps were quite steep. That said, the layout of the hotel is very nice with lovely well attended gardens. Our suite had a sea view and we could not fault it, it was big extremely clean, and had more than enough storage space for everything we had with us for a 2week stay. The whole site was kept really clean and the pool area was power washed everyday before opening. There was always a life guard on duty whilst the pool was open. There were plenty of sun beds, even when the usual amount were purloined for several hours with no one there. There was a rule of not doing this but there was no enforcement by staff. We were half board so paid for our drinks at both the pool bar and the main bar near the restaurant. Both bars were very clean and well supplied but as mentioned in a previous review there was normally only one bar man/women serving at most times, and there could be queues but you only needed to sit and wait and the queues were quickly dealt with. The restaurant was spacious and clean and the food was plentiful and pleasant. It was not very often we could not find something we liked and the choice was excellent. The breakfasts were great and the 2 chefs that cooked the eggs fresh were a great pair that you could have a laugh with even though they were busy. Previous reviews have complained about queues at meal times but again, sit and wait for a gap, there is always one comes along. The staff especially Alfredo, and Nati were a great laugh and they applauded my gauche attempts at speaking our room number in Spanish. All of the staff were great but unfortunately I cannot remember your names but we were in room, D314 so you know who you are. Outside the hotel there was a half circle road from the main road and unfortunately it had road works on it so the transfer bus could not drop us off at the hotel door. This meant a considerable walk with heavy cases followed by a small but steep incline to reach reception. These roadworks have been ongoing for months and no workmen were seen for the entire 2 weeks we were there. It was not the hotels fault but I was quite annoyed that our tour operator did not inform us of this until we were sat on the coach at Fuerteventura airport, too late to do anything about it. No assistance was offered and after a 6am flight, making it a 2am start for us, we were exhausted already without the added difficulty of walking with cases a considerable distance. On our return we had to reverse the journey at 6.45 am but that was downhill so not too bad. The area around the hotel was a disappointment as apart from a few souvenir shops, a couple of bars and a long walk with out much entertainment it became quite repetitive for 2 weeks. The beach which was approximately 1/2 a mile distance from the hotel was stupendous, miles of golden sand, the gently sloping sea filled with fish right on the edge and both a supermarket and beach bar as you enter or exit. If staying at the Sol don’t follow the map to access the beach. There is a short cut, turn right at the bottom of the road, cross at zebra crossing, up a slight hill and turn left into a car park and you will see the wooden walk way leading onto this beautiful beach. You can walk towards the harbour along the beach but it is no shortcut as you still have to climb enormous hills to get there. Take the bus it only cost 1 euro 40 and the number 1 bus takes you straight there and you don’t end up like us, tired, sweaty and unhappy. We did manage to catch bus back!! One more thing I would like to say is, we had a great 2 weeks rest and relaxation at the Sol all suites a great hotel but perhaps a bit too far from the airport for us. This was bought home to us when we were unable to access some of the tour operators excursions because we were too far away, although this wasn’t mentioned anywhere in the brochures. Post script, the internet was intermittent in the room but fine around the rest of the hotel

“Very nice hotel in convenient location with amazing animation team.”

Very nice hotel, good value/money ratio. Amazing animation team with their boss Dani. Food was also quite OK, rooms clean and spacious. I'd recommend this hotel everyone who don't want to spend fortune and wants to have very nice holidays with fantastic people.

The downside is just the classic in this type of hotel, where guests don't know how to behave and want to book pool seats from morning to night even though they're not there.
