“I got bored easily”

Not much to do. No entertainment. The area is l quiet at night. Hotel bed ok. Food is ok. If you’re below the age of 30 I wouldn’t advise staying Jandía. However it was December so mostly old folk just walking around. Expensive stay for what it is.

  • The top reviews of Sol Fuerteventura Jandia - All Suites are: Location: The hotel is located near Morro Jable Jandia, the Southern part of the island. We booked via Jet2holidays and the coach transfer took around 2.5 hours - its the last hotel on the stop. Be mindful that the coach doesn't do the drop off for this hotel at the door unlike all the other hotels and will drop off (and collect for the return journey) from the Cosmos shopping centre and pharmacy bus stop (About a few mins walk away) Some tour companies also do not collect from the hotel due to the location however there are a couple of travel excursion companies in the area that ran tours that collected from the hotel. We booked a half day southern island tour from the travel shop at the Ventura shopping centre which included a visit to Cofete beach and Jandia lighthouse at the southern most tip. There was a full day excursion that went North to the Corralejo dunes available from the travel shop opposite the Faro Jandia hotel (about a ten minute walk from Sol Jandia) The hotel is conveniently located near amenities such as shops, pharmacy, restaurants and most important of all IMO, the stunningly beautiful beach that is pretty much the largest and of consistent good quality sand I've encountered. The beach has a lovely promenade that also runs to Morro Jable town. The sunsets views from the beach were great too. Hotel: Minimalistic and modern in design, well maintained and clean with a pool, bar, and restaurant. The layout was rather confusing for us on arrival as the complex was made up of three separate apartment blocks P, D and A each with their own lifts, but we quickly got the hang of it. There were Bali style sunbeds to rent for an additional charge if required. The hotel arranged various activities such as yoga, aqua gym, Spanish lessons, and evening entertainment. there was also an evening children's disco that seemed quite entertaining for all involved. A few cats were also present on the complex, and whilst not hostile, seemed to be generally wary of visitors. Room: We booked an Xtra suite which was on the higher floor, had a balcony overlooking the pool and a sea view, as well as additional slippers, dressing gown and complimentary usage of beach towels and free changes of towel. The suite concept rooms were very spacious and the shower impressively had excellent water pressure with a rainfall shower which was lush. There was also a coffee machine with x4 pods included daily, selection of herbal teas, and a kettle. We opted for this as in the standard room package, there was a daily kettle charge as well as additional charges for renting the beach towels and changing them. The air conditioning worked well which was a bonus as it was unexpectedly hot for November (36 degrees!) In some beach hotels we have stayed at, the hotel staff dictates whether or not guests warrants to have air conditioning operating in their rooms depending on the staff's evaluation of temperature :( which is very unfair as everyone's preferences are different. Thankfully no such qualms here! :) Food: We booked all inclusive. The hotel asks that guests commit to timed sittings for meals at check in - breakfasts: 0800-0845, 0845-0930,0930-1015, lunch: 1300-1345, 1345-1430, 1430-1515,and dinner: 1800-1900, 1900-2000, 2000-2100 although the times could be adjusted again at reception if needs. We diligently stuck to the times as per advice and the staff seemed to be strict on checking the times written on the check in card when we attended for our meals, though I'm sure the hotel will have a bit of leeway. This probably helped with managing the numbers though we found, aside from the lunch sittings, (which was a very relaxing affair and my personal favourite), all the meal times to be very busy, and there were long queues at times. As previous reviewers have commented, it is best to just have a seat and wait for a gap although one evening it was just so rammed with every table taken and massive queues everywhere. (it may be an idea to have ones elbows' out a bit during busy times to reduce the risk of other guests pushing in/ queue jumping ... ) There were good options ranging from hot foods, salads, cheeses, show cooking of meets, desserts and variety of beverages available via self service tap such as coke, Fanta, lemonade, iced tea, red, rose white wine , sangria and coffee. Staff: All were professional and friendly - many thanks for all your hard work! The team at dinner especially were rushed off their feet but were always working so hard and were very efficient! Special muchos gracias to Juan who kindly gave us a talk on Guide to Fuerteventura :) and thanks to Paula for the chat prior to the talk. Their colleagues Michel and another gentleman who unfortunately I didn't catch their name were also very friendly. It was a very enjoyable stay and would recommend this establishment..
