“Beautiful hotel and area”

We stayed during the October half term and had a wonderful week. We arrived quite late (just before 9pm); we were really warmly welcomed by (if I remember correctly) a lady called Romana. She was so kind and helpful (and fluent English). The restaurant opens until 9.30pm but at 9pm that night there… more

“Perfect winter getaway”

Beautiful clean and well presented hotel. All staff were amazing, helpful and friendly. We were all inclusive which I was glad for as not many other options around but the food from the hotel was really good with lots of variety to cater for all tastes. Only comment would be no non fizzy drinks ava… more

“Shame the staff let this place down!”

On arrival the first impression of the lobby is lovely, then the aggravation begins…. Hour queue to check in when only 4 others checking in front, other guests jumping the queue and getting dealt with first, understaffed, untrained staff dealing with enquiries, dirty, dated smelly room. The follo… more

  • Guests at Fuerteventura Princess say: We stayed during the October half term and had a wonderful week. We arrived quite late (just before 9pm); we were really warmly welcomed by (if I remember correctly) a lady called Romana. She was so kind and helpful (and fluent English). The restaurant opens until 9.30pm but at 9pm that night there was barely anything on offer and I was disappointed. The rest of the holiday where we ate earlier it was great though with lots of choice. Our room was lovely; nice decor and we had paid for a side sea view which we were pleased with. The safe was a welcome addition and always lots of good toiletries left. It was cleaned lovely every day. We had to call for an iron (and we did wait a long time with chasers). The hotel itself is beautiful; the grounds are immaculate and tropical and the village layout is so pretty and relaxing. It actually wasn’t as big as I was expecting. My only note would be it’s a fairly steep walk up the main building. The swimming pools are lovely; they were colder than expected but I believe they are heated in winter and they are still classing the season as summer currently. I packed a summer wetsuit for my young daughter. There are several places to get drinks and snacks near the pools so that was always very convenient. It’s a shame Sotovento is adults only as we never got to enjoy that. We took it in turns one day to use the adult spa/pool area and that was very nice. The beach is absolutely beautiful and literally on the doorstep. You can hire sunbeds or there is plenty of room to put towels down. There are a couple of independent beach bars on the beach. Facilities at the hotel are very good; we loved the ping pong on the island for example. The restaurant served good food, we actually preferred lunch; quieter and nice pizza, pasta, salad etc. Dinner was quite hectic with big queues for the more popular options. As a family we are always quite up and down at a buffet restaurant so we weren’t too bothered but as a couple it might be less ideal. Drinks all self serve. There were a good number of shops on site; selling everything from food and suncreams etc to a few lovely clothes shops. There is also a supermarket just a couple of minute walk away and a taxi rank. We loved the lobby bar (less so the service) and the chill out bar where there was live music most nights. There’s a mini disco each night at 20:30. There were a couple of areas for improvement needed (consistency in service the main one) but we had a great week and we would return.
