Very impressed with this hotel. My studio apartment was large and airy with plenty of storage for everything. The bed was very comfortable. Kitchen facilities inc. fridge, two ring hob, with all utensils. A nice sized patio with table ,two chairs. The restaurant is very modern in decor and fittings,[ recently refurbished i think ] Breakfast was plentiful with cold or cooked options. My only negative to breakfast being the scrambled eggs, which seemed to be cut into squares and quite solid, not as fluffy as could have been. Evening meal again was plentiful and varied, with two meat and one fish dish with various vegetable options. The overall upkeep of the hotel seems to be very good, with work being carried out upgrading the paths when i visited. Although ramps for the mobility impaired would be a nice touch. A lot of steps for the elderly to negotiate! The hotel is aimed mainly for German guests, so English speaking staff was hard to find.

Some good things 1. Very clean 2. Spacious apartment with good sized rooms 3. Beds comfy But plenty of bad too 1. The patio was terrible. Completely in shadow all day due to tall building only a few meters opposite. Also in a complete wind tunnel. 2. Terrible kitchenette. No kettle, no toaster, (use a saucepan to boil the water) no sharp knife. Due to tiny size of the two hot plates, could not fit 2 pans on at once. Microwave in a high shelf above hob so impractical and dangerous (I’m 5’3” and couldn’t reach it safely) 3. Very isolated location so you’ll need a car 4. Limited English spoken. Seems to be primarily a German destination. 5. Only 1 pool which was ok but in shadow by mid afternoon and not open until 10.30 in the morning so couldn’t have early morning swim. Also unheated so pretty cold (didn’t worry me as I quite like a cold swim, but be warned). 6. Very confused layout. although we were only a few meters from the pool, we had to go our the hotel, down the road and back in again to get to it because the path had been blocked off with glass portion barrier. Why? Why? Wouldn’t bother going back. If you’re in the 100 or 200 numbered rooms you’ll never see the sun!

Let’s start with some positive things: 1. Lovely, peaceful location with superb beach near by. 2. Room very clean, peaceful and a good bed. 3. Staff friendly. 4. Lovely bar downstairs with great pizzas. 5. Value for money. For improvement: 1. Restaurant feels more akin to work canteen, hard lighting and quality of food not to standard, hot food often cold and also limited choice. 2. English not widely spoken but this not a major problem. 3. Swimming pool very cold! 4. Rooms are not serviced every day, did not provide soap or replace loo roll (I bought my own from local store). Summary: Has lots of good things going for it, but I’d be inclined to spend a little more next time and get a step up for it.

VERY excluded on arrival myself and my bother went a walk round the surrounding area and quickly realised there is absolutely nothing to do apart from the beach so we spent a silly amount on taxis to get out of the place when you look esquinzo up it said there's bars and restaurants that isn't the case so definitely not suited people that enjoy nightnight / entertainment.the hotel itself is budget but clean and tidy the rooms are slightly dated but beds are comfortable the tv only has Spanish channels and you can't change the language the daily room cleans and fresh towels are great and the cleaner was absolutely lovely as was all the staff. it says In the description of the hotel that it has 2 pools that isn't the case anymore as one has been filled I'm to make some sort of garden area with sunloungeres however the main pool is big enough and is adequate for everyone's needs. The food is very much basic and mainly Spanish I only ate chips during my 7 day stay we also only went for breakfast once as we felt slightly sick after the first time. No one and a mean no one spoke English so was a very difficult stay the last thing I'd like to say and it may be our fault for not probably looking into the area but esquinzo is basically a nudist town the beach streets everywhere are full of nude people walking round so definitely give it a miss if children are involved wouldn't stay again
