Good hotel and value for money. If you wanted to, you could find faults, but this applies to most hotels, however for the money we paid we couldn't fault it. Do your homework as it may not suit everyone especially if you have mobility issues. We were very happy with the staff and house keeping was excellent. Loved the location and the beaches are fabulous, never used the pool area. We would happily go back

“Lovely week at the Alua Village hotel”

Booked a week here with a sea view. On arriving we were allocated our room and shown a map of how to get to the room. We were advised about safe hire towel hire etc and given 2 tokens for drinks, the lady on reception explained we needed to exchange these for glasses at the pool bar. At no point did she explain or offer an upgrade of the facilities which we later found disappointing because we certainly would have considered it. Special mention to Josi on reception who was extremely helpful and friendly. We eventually found our room. The room was very spacious and clean. Cleaned daily with fresh towels. The beds are super comfy. The sea view I personally wouldn’t recommend as it was overlooked by roofs from other rooms. I don’t personally think it was worth paying extra. Food and drink. The food was nice and we found something to eat every day. Not very impressed with the cocktails as they were from a machine, however there was plenty of choice for other drinks. Overall the food and drink was good quality. The pool area. The pool area was lovely. Plenty of sun beds and the view was amazing. The animation team were a little annoying at times with the odd burst of loud music followed by a short mostly french commentary on the days schedule, but they were very friendly and not pushy when trying to get people involved. Beach. Beach was absolutely beautiful but be advised it’s a bit of a steep walk back up. Not a problem for us but maybe for the less mobile. Sun beds we 5 euro each and 5 euro if u wanted an umbrella. 2 beach bars close by that were reasonably priced. We had a few lovely days at the beach. Evening entertainment. The evening entertainment was geared towards the French certainly, however the team did there best to involve everyone. We found it mostly a bit boring. The best night was the karaoke when everyone seemed to get involved and enjoyed it. On conclusion we had a lovely holiday and aren’t the type of people to moan about silly little things like a cracked tile or seeing cats around the hotel! We quite enjoyed seeing the few cats that we saw on our way to the room and back. I’d say this hotel is a really good 3 star and we definitely got what we paid for. I’d definitely consider returning if it came up again at the right price

Stayed here for 10 nights. I try to be fair on reviews so will try to point out the facts, the good and the bad. Transfer to hotel is about 1 hour in a private cab from airport (110 euros). Jet2 rep in airport said coach transfer would be 1hr 30 mins with 4 stops. We opted for private transfer. Check in to my 'My Favourite Club' room was swift and the lovely receptionist gave us some info about the hotel. If you like a good drink with free access to premium spirits (e.g. Smirnoff), bottled beers (e.g. San Miguel), bottled soft drinks, tonics, wine, cava, ice and snacks (not very good, meat/ cheese/ bread) then I'd recommend the Club. It's also a haven away from the French styled entertainment. It has inside and outside seating plus sunbeds. Unfortunately, the sunbeds overlook the activity pool so no escape here in the day from the excitable French animation team. 2 pools, one 'quiet' and the aforementioned activity pool. Reported to be absolutely freezing, I didn't venture in. There wasn't any escaping from the loud music apart from using your own earbuds. My Club room had a terrace with a great sea view. It would not have been suitable for young children as there was a relatively steep step at the end of it but for adults fine. Room was decent, always cleaned well, a stocked mini bar on arrival and bottled water delivered every day. Shower was fine but poor water pressure from the sink tap. TV includes several British channels (BBC, ITV, Ch4 etc.) if that's your thing. It's not normally my thing but I did find myself using it to escape the quiz and bingo in the evening (mainly in French). Now everyone needs to know about the walk to the beach. Or more specifically, the walk back. This is over 'unmade' ground which means it's generally stone and rubble. Completely unsuitable for anyone with mobility challenges and far from ideal for parents with a pram. It's not too bad going down but coming back is up a massive hill and will leave even the fittest panting for breath by the end. That said, the beach is simply stunning and probably one of the best in the world. If you are offended by nudity, I'd advise to not go further left than the Atalya chiringuito and Surf school. Lastly, the food. Well all I can say is that it is seriously grim. I know food is a very subjective and personal thing and I admit I'm fussy but the buffet offerings were genuinely bad. The restaurant set-up itself isn't too bad for an all inclusive (all drinks self service including beer/wine/cava). But the food is practically the same every night, salad, chips, burgers (nasty), hot dogs, pizza, pasta. I do realise that might be some people's idea of heaven but it's not mine. Then a couple of items cooked on the grill - normally nasty looking meat or fish. 5 trays of vegetables and then 5 trays of stew/chicken wings. All looking poor quality with lots of bones and gristle thrown in. I ended up eating out 3 nights. So overall, I've been critical but having said that, I actually enjoyed the break, despite what I've laid out. Mainly because of the beautiful views, the fantastic beach, the nice Club room, the Club Lounge and the staff were always pleasant. I wouldn't go again though.

Just returned from Alta Village, well where do I start, I booked this hotel due to some good reviews On arrival we had a warm welcome, even though directions to our room was not too clear, so took some finding in the dark. Room 3214 looked fine, basic but ok. I always check the bathroom & bed before unpacking, there was need of thee toilet needing a wipe with antibacterial wipes which I took. But other wise fine. Bed was comfortable, plenty on space. So you can imagine our disappointment when we woke up in the morning covered in bites. I checked the bed to find blood spots on the bottom of the bed on th sheets after a closer look we could see it was fleas There as so many cats on site guests were allowing in the rooms, and feeding them everywhere. We reported this immediately where we were to,d the room would be sprayed and new bedding. We had the new bedding but no sign of spraying. We heard that a lot of people had the same issues. We reported again as we were still being bitten, again room sprayed & bedding. The food was not the best and cold most nights, choice poor. Also one evening we all asked if we could join 8n on the quiz but the entertainment lady told us it would only be in French, so if we couldn’t speak or understand French it wasn’t worth it. We also noticed French guests were treated much better that English, on more than one occasion. Finally it states walking distance to the beach, it doesn’t mention the steep hill and rugged ground, people were struggling with buggy’s and older people. The lady in the shop was so rude, and more or less kicked me out, as she would be closing in 15mins, I only needed 5 mins. Unfortunately very disappointed and certainly not a 4star. Even the TUI rep didn’t seem happy with the hotel.
