Spent 8 lovely days in this hotel. Only Brits and had to phone Germany to book.Short walk to beach.Great evening swims in heated pool with sun setting behind the hills.Massive sauna with twice nightly Aufguss with Alex Mickael and the 2 lovely girls from the Animation team.Enjoyed breakfast on sunny terrace. Good afternoon snacks and Kaffee und Kuchen after a day on the beach. Rooms a bit dated with fluctuating shower temperature. Would have preferred later lunch and dinner. Missed having Spanish TV channels to improve my language skills and watch weather forecasts. Staff hard working and friendly especially Xavi in the restaurant and Fransisco on reception. Booked today to return in March.

Our recent stay at allsun Hotel Esquinzo Beach was a mix of positive and negative aspects. Let's start with the positives: the accommodation was generally clean and well-maintained. The hotel offers two pool areas, providing a nice variety for guests who enjoy swimming or sunbathing. Additionally, guests can indulge in a relaxing experience at the spa, where we enjoyed a wonderful back and shoulder massage. For tennis enthusiasts, this hotel is definitely recommended, with good facilities for the sport. Unfortunately, the overall experience of the hotel is significantly impacted by the fact that it is a predominantly German-speaking establishment. This makes it nearly impossible for guests who do not speak German to participate in activities. It's disappointing that this language barrier prevents some guests from fully enjoying their all-inclusive stay, especially if you expect the more typical all-in experience. Moreover, it can be hazardous for guests with allergies, as my partner was unable to understand the German signs at the buffet. Furthermore, there were some points of criticism regarding the restaurant. Although the buffet offered sufficient choice, we noticed that even a few minutes before closing time, they started shutting down drinks and removing meals, which gave an unpleasant, not very "welcome" feeling. The quality of the cocktails at the bar also left something to be desired, and some drinks, such as the fruit juices at the breakfast buffet, tasted more like lemonade than fresh juice. Additionally, the espressos were more like normal mugs of coffee than authentic espressos, which was disappointing for coffee lovers. Another downside was the distance to the beach. Fortunately, there were some nice beach bars. On the positive side, we appreciated the tranquility in the hotel, especially since we stayed in March, and the fact that there were also sun loungers in the garden for relaxation. Unfortunately, we were unable to take part in the entertainment program, partly due to the language barrier and partly because there wasn't much on offer. Overall, the age of the guests during our stay seemed to be around 65+. Not recommended if you like to throw a party, enjoy a dynamic or surprising activity or be taken out of your comfort zone when it comes to food and drinks. In conclusion, allsun Hotel Esquinzo Beach offers some positive aspects, but the language barrier and some critical points regarding the restaurant and facilities negatively impact the overall experience.
