After reading the reviews we were unsure what this hotel would be like. We checked in just after 8pm and were welcomed by the guy on reception and were given directions to our room and told dinner finished at 9pm. We put the cases in the room and could see it was dated but went off for dinner. In the restaurant we could see the staff were struggling to clear and relay tables but they work really hard. All are really polite (with the exception of one). Lack of clean glasses and cups. We then went for a few drinks then went to unpack. On return to our room we could see that one of the bedside cabinets wasn’t clean and the angle bead was sticking out on the wall where the plaster was missing. As we were tired from travelling we cleaned it ourselves and tried to ignore how tatty room was. We were actually in Nautilus Beach hotel that is linked via a bridge. Rayco in La Choza is the happiest barman ever. He’s an asset to this hotel and made me smile every day. Plenty of sun beds and you could get one anytime of the day but not enough cushions for all the in beds. Pros Nice pool area Right on the beach Food nice (although repetitive) Rayco the happiest barman Cons Tatty rooms Repetitive food (although nice) Not enough cushions for sunbeds Overall we had a good holiday.

Just come back from a 7 night stay. Pros: Hotel is situated in pleasant surroundings with adjacent beach. Nice pool areas. Choice of drinks. Friendly staff. On site shops. Cleanliness. Just come back from a 7 night stay. Pros: Hotel is situated in pleasant surroundings with adjacent beach. Nice pool areas. Choice of drinks. Friendly staff. On site shops. Cleanliness. Cons: Food repetitive. Drinks machines always running out. Shortage of cups and glasses and cutlery. Slow turnaround of relaying tables. Not enough chairs in the pool bar. Plenty of tables without chairs. Entertainment-2 good night's out of 7. Poor choice of daytime snacks- cake or ice cream ! We did enjoy the stay overall, but the hotel needs to invest in more staff, equipment and food offerings to make it a 4 star hotel.

“Not a 4 star experience”

The pros: staff are very friendly. The pools and outdoor areas are extremely clean. The hotel has access to it's own beach. The cons: no heated pool as advertised. No tennis courts as advertised. No salt water pool as advertised. No indoor pool as advertised. Only one restaurant and one snack bar.… more

Overall it was a decent stay, but I didn't get the 4* experience I was expecting. If it was rated a 3*, then my expectation would have matched the services. The hotel is a bit rundown. There are broken tiles, broken chairs and broken coffee machines. Very understaffed in all aspects. Not enough people working in the restaurant or at the bar. No tea/coffee facilities (kettle etc) in the room, which isn't terrible, however if you wake up before 8am breakfast, it does mean there is nowhere to get a hot drink. There is also no place to fill up a water bottle in the early morning either. Pools were really clean, and there is a good availability of sunbeds. Really good location on the beach, but not much around. WiFi although free (expected) is quite poor and constantly drops. Food is ok, if you are not fussy (no seasoning) . Does get repetitive with the salads, (lots of mayo based salad for some reason) Puddings are again repetitive, but there are a few different options. Entertainment was dull ( but the staff again tried really hard) Rooms need refurbishment (not 4* quality) Reception / Bar Staff were really good. The drinks are standard for an all inclusive. If you are expecting luxury, expect less. Minor improvements needed to make it a proper 4*, mostly the basics which you'd expect as standard everywhere (cups/kettle in room, no peeling plaster.
