What an amazing time we had, the Hotel is great and in a beautiful location All the staff were great we thought and always had a smile especially the barman in bar Larza and Jonathon in the pool bar, both great and a credit to the hotel Yes the food could be better but it's a volcanic island with no sustainable crops and we ate well and there is always something for your taste The town is a 10 minute walk and had everything you need from bars, restaurants and shops or hire a car from Cicar and travel the island, we did the south to the north and saw the dunes of Corralejo and numerous other beaches then to oasis wildlife park the day after! would definitely recommend to anyone, plenty of sunbeds, everything you need in one place.

Wow, we have just had the most incredible 6 days at this the R2 Paraja Beach Hotel & Spa. From start to finish our stay had been a very pleasant experience. The Room: We stayed in room 2206 which is a double room (with see view) and was absolutely perfect and good size room and bathroom. It's in the middle of the C shape on the 2nd floor. We though about upgrading to a superior double but after 1 day we didn't see the need at all. Staff: The staff are so friendly and helpful. They will try to accommodate where possible and always make you feel comfortable and welcome. Special mention goes to Precilla, Andrea & Dominic who arranged all sorts of special treatments to help us celebrate our wedding anniversary. As well as to all the hard working staff in the restaurant who ensure breakfast lunch and dinner are a seamless experience. Also we'll done to staff running all the activities, pool classes, games, etc. Even though we didn't take part in any we could feel their positive energy around the resort. Food: For an all inclusive package our expectations were exceeded. You won't get a steak, but appart from that you will find almost everything else. There is a huge variety and the quality is all good. Even in-between meals you can find food at the pool bar. Drinks: Yes the alcoholic drinks are maybe not quite as strong as a city bar. But we see it as a positive because it meant that there was no poor tourist behaviour anywhere, which you might expect with an endless supply of alcohol. Coffee and fresh water is available at all times around the resort. Cleanliness: The entire place seemed spotless at all times. The Cleaning staff did a create job remaking the rooms every day. And even went out of their way to create some heart shape towel to celebrate our anniversary. Overall convenience: The resort is large enough to feel spacious and lush but not too large that you have to walk for miles. Everything is a short walk away including a stunning little beach with the most incredible turquoise water. The pool and beach never seemed busy and so you always feel spoiled with space. We had no issues at all finding sun loungers at any time of day. Spa: My wife had a tension relief massage and a reflexology massage by Jason and both were great. The Cabanas: We rented a private cabana which costs €50 per day and includes a bottle of champagne and a fruit platter. We loved it so much we did it again the next day. Cabana no.4 is perfect for privacy, sun and view. Cabana No.1 is great for shade (if you've had a bit too much sun) and also has a stunning view. There are a few things not included in the all inclusive package. We paid €15 for WiFi in our room for the week. That covers two devices for an entire week. Beach towels were €1 a day with a €10 deposit and a €10 deposit if you want a kettle in your room. I see people moaning about these things but if you have the right attitude you won't let this be an issue especially when you consider the rest of the experience. We hired a car and parked outside for free without any issue. If we had to to pick on something it would be the pillows but this is a personal experience and when we asked for extra ones they provided them with compliments. Overall it was a 5/5 experience for us. We highly recommend it and we will definitely be back. Thank you R2 😊

Hotel The hotel itself is absolutely amazing. The grounds are HUGE and the fact it is right on a beautiful beach is great. There is a pool bar which serves lovely slushy cocktails and soft drinks. The beach is just a few steps down and is amazing, you can walk all the way along the beach to little cafes and a town which I recommend. There are loads of sunbeds we went in May and could get a sunbed at any time of the day, even after 12. The grounds were always spotlessly clean and tidy. There are 4 shops in the hotel, 3 boutique privately owned ones and one is the R2 bazaar. There is a large buffet dining room with plenty of tables and chairs. The hotel has 6 floors, the entertainment space is large and very nicely decorated. The hotel is extremely clean and tidy with plenty of sitting areas/sofas Entertainment the entertainment cannot be faulted. The two young lads who ran the entertainment were so engaging and fun, every night was something fun and it was genuinely a great laugh. Remember this is not broadway and everyone will moan at something but it was great fun every night. Food Unfortunately this was the let down for this hotel. The foot was extremely limited, offering things like goat and rabbit on some nights. There was always chips and paella on offer and usually pork which was okay. I just had pasta every night from the children’s section which was nice but wanted some variety. A bit of grilled chicken etc would have been nice. There are themed nights for food but perhaps it was our personal opinion that it was not very nice. The desserts however were AMAZING. We ended up finding an amazing beach bar 10 mins walk away which was great, recommend eating out for at least one meal a day or you will struggle to find things. The A la carte restaurant is just a room in the pool bar, we didn’t try it. The pool bar snacks are leftovers from lunch/breakfast - everyone seemed to love. There are always ice creams available which is a nice touch Drinks The drinks were very strong and very nice. A variety of cocktails to pick from, spirits, whiskey etc Guests Majority of the guests are not British, unfortunately we felt extremely judged by absolutely everyone and this is mirrored in a lot of other reviews. Staff The bartending staff were absolutely lovely so were all the male chefs and entertainment group. huge shoutout to JONATHON at the pool bar, this guy is so friendly to every nationality even though some weren’t so polite to him, he is amazing !!! The reception team were also very accommodating to all of our queries/issues so that was great. However the woman in the R2 bazaar was the rudest woman I have ever met, she would be so rude and didn’t want to let you convert the card transaction into GBP which every other member of staff asked you what you would prefer. She was very abrupt and very impolite even muttering in Spanish, after telling us off for converting our own transaction to GBP. The women working in the restaurant were also quite rude, frequently grunting if you was getting some food which was in their way. Not very good needs to be sorted. Location The hotel is 10 mins walk from a Londis and restaurants etc. the beach is down a few steps which you can go on. The hotel is about a 1h 30 shared shuttle from the hotel. Other than this there is not much about. There are lots of excursions to go on though Extra details Check out is 12pm which is AMAZING Can leave luggage in a check out/check in room Overall For the money we paid we was very satisfied with our trip, the hotel is incredible and the entertainment and staff are great. The food is the only let down but I guess they have to cater for so many nationalities (French/german/polish/British etc). If you are British you may struggle with lunch/dinner most nights so I would recommend trying some restaurants etc you will also feel extremely judged by the other guests, there was about 3 British couples. The entertainment group make everyone included though - they were seriously amazing. I wouldn’t go back purely based on the food, 110% would for everything else

On accommodation - rooms are older but not bad can't complain. And now the tidbit...CAUTIONARY NOTE TO ACCOMMODATION RESIDENTS ON ROOM ROW 2506-2536 . On the same floor separated by a thin wall there is music or some kind of program every night from 21:30 and then a disco from 23:00 to 01:00. In the room you are a full participant of this entertainment whether you like it or not. Really awful incredibly noisy impossible to sleep !!! The room was changed without protest, but I absolutely do not understand how the hotel management can afford to accommodate anyone at all !!!! Unbelievable rudeness and arrogance it was a huge disappointment for us it is obvious they have no respect for guests. They are just playing the game of not letting anyone call and not letting the room change, it's pathetic and embarrassing !!! The hotel management should think whether they want to run a hotel or a disco brothel both are impossible. . Overall, we have enjoyed the FUERTEVENTURA and will continue to enjoy it as long as the protesting lunatics against tourism do not get into most but into this hotel with this management ( and you are also SPA :))) .. that's a joke isn't it ?) never !!!
