I really recommend this hotel. Clean, comfortable, great vibe. This place made a difference in my appreciation of my vacation. After my stay there I felt so relax. Everything was truly amazing, the food, the apartment, the staff,… I felt welcomed. And the location was also great, it was calm and beautiful. The team was so professional and attentive. Best customer service I have ever had.

Just spent 4 nights and had a wonderful stay at Esmerelda Maris. Great location – easy parking (being at the end of a line of hotels) and beautiful soft sandy beaches with crystal clear water within 6-8 minutes walk (off road / rough path so some footwear required). Opportunity for lovely coastal walks and fantastic panoramic views from nearby hills if desired. A big thanks to Ingrid at reception was very warm, friendly and always helpful. The whole hotel has been recently renovated – it felt new. Well designed and soundproofed, as well as spacious apartments. Spotlessly clean and lots of storage. Kitchen was also reasonably well equipped (only 3 of each piece of crockery but not an issue) and glad they provide a new washing-up sponge, soap, wiping cloth etc. Communal areas are well maintained. Swimming pool was actually heated to a warm temperature (rare!) – perhaps about 23-24 degrees – very comfortable even in the cooler February evenings. Wifi was decent and free for 5 devices per room, especially in the living area – speeds of 10-20 Mbps upload and download. Highly recommended and hope to return again!

We (family of 2 adults, 2 kids age 10 and 11) spent a week at the Esmeralda Maris in February. The apartment was spacious and newly renovated and the location of the Esmeralda Maris is great as less then 2 minutes by car from Sotavento beach. The service of the hotel / apartment complex was very helpful with recommendations of good restaurants, organization of PCR tests, things to do and to see with kids. We will certainly come back !

“Great hotel, amazing staff”
Stayed here for one week with our 1 and 5 year old. We booked a junior suite h/b and were not disappointed. Apartment was very spacious and had all we needed as well as being extremely clean. Stayed here for one week with our 1 and 5 year old. We booked a junior suite h/b and were not disappointed. Apartment was very spacious and had all we needed as well as being extremely clean. Breakfast and dinner buffet offered a variety of food with the option to select daily dishes cooked to order. Staff were amazing with the kids who were tbh a total pain at eating times, particularly the lady in the shop who was beyond lovely. Amazing beach just down the hill (100 meters). If you want to explore though would definitely recommend a car as we had a couple of days out and car made it much easier. Only negative was the pool, it is on the small side and no shallow area for kids, but other than that would recommend.
