We've just arrived back from a new year's break staying at Las Marismas and had such a good and relaxing time that we are already looking forward to booking for next year. We have stayed at the hotel 7 times (and we are booked twice more for the rest of 2025) and have always found the standards within the hotel to be excellent. The team prioritise customer satisfaction and nothing is too much trouble, even acknowledging and achieving the fulfilment of any special requests. Cleaning standards are very high and you can tell that the hotel staff take great pride in ensuring a clean, safe and secure hotel environment. There was an issue with safes during our trip (outside of hotel control and due to the change in year) however this was resolved within hours and a member of the reception team personally visited affected rooms to ensure all issues had been permanently fixed and this was conducted to not interfere with our holiday. The shop on site is very reasonably priced and normally well stocked, this includes bottles of spirits which are often cheaper than supermarkets and shops around the resort. Particularly enjoy freshly cooked croissants and other bakery products in the morning. It is also great to see that the sunbed reservation policy is managed within the hotel. Going back 18 months (July 2023) it was almost necessary to have to be reserving beds at 6.30am - 7.30am in the morning to ensure that the family could have somewhere to lie during the day. Now, team members within the hotel will tour the pool areas during the morning and remove towels where there is no occupancy, this is designed to stop guests going out early, reserving beds in the best locations and not returning to say lunchtime or in the afternoon. We also witnessed some guests trying to reserve beds in multiple locations around the pool so they could move around in commensurate to the positioning of the sun, this practice was also stopped by the team and for this they should be applauded. The policy now is fairer and the once 6.30am - 7.00am race for beds has now been replaced by a more leisurely and less stressful approach as long as you play by the rules and also etiquettes of fairness. The hotel is located just behind the water park at the top of the strip and it's just a short walk into the main centre where there are plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from and a taxi back will cost less than 5 euros (or approx 7 euros on a special day such as NYE or NYD) We can't wait to visit again in April

“My solo trip back to this fantastic hotel”

This is my 2nd review as I first went with my adult children & grandson. I loved the hotel so much I decided to return on a solo trip. I asked for the same room, which I got, and a nice bottle of wine with a thank you for returning note. As I arrived late they gave me a bag of foods which was nice and much needed after waiting a long time for my transfer. I had a great stay again, some staff were fantastic and they were teaching me some Spanish which I loved and others just did their job which was fine. I did notice my room was only cleaned twice this time out of the whole week. As this was my first solo adventure, I chose to “test the waters” as I knew I felt safe here in the complex. I walked in the dark back from the strip one night and did feel slightly uneasy as it’s open dry ground (next to water park) on the way back with not many people around and it’s dimly lit but that’s not down to the hotel. They had some great bands and singers on at night at the bar area. If anything I found some of the holiday makers a bit rude, they would take all the chairs around me, not ask me, then stare at me cos I was alone I felt like an alien lol I really would love to come back again for my 3rd stay at some point with family or solo.

Can't really give a more than average score because everything was very average, including the weather. We didn't really connect to the hotel because we chose a self catering holiday for the first time in a while. We sampled two nights of entertainment but left after a short while.....I'm sure you can work out why. Maid service was very hit and miss but we were fine with that. Safe was E1.80 per day which was good value. Can't comment on food for obvious reasons. Location suited us, about a 12 min walk to the main strip. Rooms were very dated but very spacious. Hotel set in nice grounds. Nearby building works never bothered us as some have suggested. Think we decided that self-catering wasn't for us so we might return in the future on a different board basis. Hope this helps.

Great complex this was our third stay . The rooms are very spacious and the grounds beautiful. The crazy golf , pools and gym and tennis were very good. A bit disappointed in the quality of the yoga and stretching classes which were not the same quality as previous visits due to the staff not being of sufficient quality and expertise to run the classes safely so did not attend after trying the classes. The staff members should really know what they are doing before getting people to try yoga and stretching as this can cause injuries if not done correctly. The cleaning of the rooms was a bit hit and miss with over a month stay with one week only being cleaned twice and bed linen once and then only when asked for and the terrace was only mopped twice in four weeks as I did it myself so that the bird mess was cleaned up. The ants were a nightmare and came from the back of the cupboards through the joints and because we were self catering we had to throw out so much food from even inside cupboards and had to buy lots of plastic boxes and jars. Every day I had to clean hundreds of ants from in the cupboards and worksurfaces which was not a pleasant thing to have to do and even purchased ant spray which also did not work for more than a day. Clothes and shoes in the bedroom were also crawling with ants in the morning and cockroaches would come up through the plug holes in the bathroom at night. This has never happened before in our previous visits. The doors to the bedroom did not lock properly but this was the case in the last two visits so they have not improved so make sure you keep all things safe ! When the cleaners have been they tend to leave the bedroom door ajar which is very worrying if you are out. Sleep quality as regards noise is very good but the beds were sunken and I could not turn one bed as it was covered with old blood . Maybe more checks need to be done on the mattresses . For our third bed my son had to sleep on a bit of thin foam with a sheet and no pillow or duvet which again was not suitable as a bed so quite disappointing. The building work did not really effect the stay only on very windy days could you hear the cranes and taste the dust . It is a shame that the dividing doors from the children's room and entertainment have been taken away and now all the smoke from cigarettes when people watch entertainment goes straight into the room where young children play which is terrible. Overall the complex is very good but cleaning needs to be improved everywhere and checks on equipment before people are let into the rooms instead on relying on people to make complaints before items are changed or replaced. The staff on reception are very friendly which is so important and we would love to return but not sure about the quality / cleanliness of the rooms.
