The hotel is not massive and therefore felt safe that our kids were always in sight and would not wonder off and get lost. (Kids are 9 & 8). The rooms were modern and clean. Rooms were cleaned every day. We found the mattresses were hard and not particularly comfortable but we survived with no dramas. The bathroom area was ok. In need of some TLC. Shower tray would gather water and was leaking under near the drain end. Just require’s looking at. (Room 306) We had a pool facing room that was close to the pool. We felt that this was a good location for us and not noisy. Sun-beds cannot be reserved so no one queuing at silly o’clock to get a sun-bed. (Not that we would). And it never appeared that anyone was struggling for a sun-bed. We never used the cabanas but they always seemed utilised by couples or families. The pool opened at 9:00. Which is when we would go down select our sun-beds and go for breakfast. Which would appear to be the norm with most. Breakfast started from 7:30 until 10:30. There was a lot to choose from which appeared through all meal times. They had a range of pastries, croissants, pain au chocolates, donuts, mini cupcakes and pancakes. Cooked breakfast, bacon, sausage (mini and standard size alternate days) scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, fried eggs, beans. Meats and cheeses, fruits, yogurts, cereals. So plenty of options for everyone. Lunch and evening meals. These were pretty similar, hot and cold options. But lots of choices. Chips, rice, pizza and pastas (pizza and pasta made fresh) these were standard staples. But mixed in with the likes of pork dishes, a fish dish, chicken dishes, chilli, and then fresh cooked meat cooked on the grill, steaks, pork tenderloin, chicken. A wide range of salads and slaws. So wasn’t difficult to find something to eat. There was also an array of desserts mini gateaux and tiramisu, jellies, chocolate fountain (evening only),fruit and ice cream, which had a selection of sweets for toppings. (Kid’s favourite). Pool bar. This opened at 10:30 was not overly busy at any one time. I liked the fact they had reusable cups and not just single use. There was always water available at the refill station at the bar which had the choices of sparkling and cold water. The Animation Team. This is tricky. If you remove the language barrier and you make an effort to join in then they will approach and ask if you want to join in activities in the future. (Which we discovered later in the holiday) It was clear that they were more comfortable talking to the Italian residents. However I feel that if we were in an English hotel and not an Italian one and the shoe might be on the other foot and the feeling the same for them. But with that said as my wife spent years working in hotels as part of the animation team at management level, she said that this shouldn’t happen. We didn’t put our kids in to kids club so can’t comment on that. Mini disco lacked variety and was the same every night. Same songs and dances . Kids that were involved seemed to enjoy it though. Evening entertainment. Was either a variety show (2 within days of each other) karaoke and 3 live acts. All of which were just ok. Again these comments have come from someone who has experienced the industry. Staff. All in all are friendly enough, it goes a long way if you use simple Spanish and Italian, for greetings and thanks. Which I see as being standard where ever you are. Overall we enjoyed our stay here with no major issues that would lead to complaints. Our kids thoroughly enjoyed it. It was their first experience in this environment. Would we return? All though we wouldn’t rush back we would never rule out a return. All in all a very happy holiday.

I will give a detailed and unbiased as possible break down of various aspects. Cleanliness = cannot complain, you can tell they pride themselves on this and sustainability so no complaints Staff: Bar staff, Restaurants & Reception staff = all polite, always say hello etc and no problems. Entertainment staff we noticed tend to engage more with people from there native home (Italy) than other guests, which isn’t the be all and end all. But a hello, ola, ciao, etc or just a wave now and again as you walk past wouldn’t go a miss. especially when you feel you are forcing it every time you do it to them. Room: We had a leaking shower (this eventually got fixed) but the shower temperature was very and I mean VERY temperamental with constant bursts of SCOLDING water every 10-20 seconds. This meant having to have near cold showers just to protect yourself and reduce the risk of burns. Now for me this was not that much a problem as it’s a hot country so a cold shower in the morning or evening is sometimes nice anyway, but it’s something that shouldn’t even be a thing and could easily catch people out. The room itself was spacious, clean and had everything you need (including free safe and constantly cold fridge which was a nice touch). The design though = room for improvement: The shower and toilet are inside the bedroom and in a little enclosed rectangle and could be quite loud when using as it echoes quite a lot. With it being an apartment the ceiling was obviously very thin. This lead to a lot of problems with noise during the night with us constantly being kept awake or woken by rude inconsiderate neighbours who would constantly walk around (like they are in a marching band, constantly slamming cupboards etc etc) management was told of this once or twice and thankfully we left and only had to put up with this for a few days. Any longer than that and we would have had serious problems as they are just ridiculous. Any constant noise past 1am is just unacceptable in my opinion. So overall for the room I would obviously this is luck of the draw. The first week was fine bar the shower, but the second half of the second week that was our experience and that’s all we can go off which put a dampener on things. Food: The main thing is this hotel is not that large, and the first week we were there = minimal guests = no problems at all. The second week = influx of 70-80 Italians, and from there on out there was constantly things missing at breakfast despite being early and then you’d ask if anymore is coming and they would just say non left. This was slightly frustrating as they should surely have more stock if they know a huge influx is coming. Sometimes just the lack of things or certain things not being kept warm ruined it a bit. *BUT THE FOOD SERVED WAS VERY NICE* I can’t complain on the flavours of the food they served ESPECIALLY THE BARBECUE (a personal highlight, with very high quality food cooked to perfection). The chefs were all amazing to talk to, and tried to accommodate / cook fresh for you if you could. Noise: music tended to get VERY loud around the pool depending which staff were in control of the music, a lot of people you could see get annoyed when certain staff would raise the music to an uncomfortable level and people would tend to move (IF POSSIBLE) to much further away. Again some people may like loud music. The only saving grace is that there are periods the staff leave and take the speaker with them, and when the music is at a tolerable level it’s fine and the songs they play are fine and everyone is happy. But the majority of people we spoke to did not want a night club level noise next to the pool during main relaxing hours. Even my partner who is very tolerable to loud things ended up having to move a few times due to the sheer volume. Overall I think the hotel is a good 4 star, but they should try and plan better for large influxes of people at one time. Whilst showing some consideration with the noise or at least ask if people are comfortable with the volume etc and not just do it how THEY want it. They are not the guests on holiday paying a lot of money to stay here. The negatives I have mentioned were reciprocated by at least 5-6 couples we spoke to (who knew English / Spanish) Overall I’d give the hotel a 7/10 which I feel a bit bad as some of the staff (specially the people on the bars, reception and restaurants were lovely), the place was very clean and some of the food was lovely (when available and warm) and without those things it would of been a lower score). I’ve tried to be informative and fair and not put any negatives that other people didn’t also mention, as some things can be down to personal preference and I don’t want to sound to harsh as for the majority of the time there it was fine and thoroughly enjoyable. So a massive thank you to all reception staff, the pizza chef from Italy (youngish man) and all the people serving drinks at the pool bar.

I have travelled a lot but has a family and alone and I would say this hotel is a good 3 star hotel. The positives : *Cleanliness around the grounds, they are well kept and pool is spotless. *Modern decor in communal areas. *Small so felt safe with the children, offering them a little more independence. *Dining, no mad rush or big queues. *Sunbeds, always some available and plenty of parasols. *Location is central and perfect for trips out. The negatives: *Rooms clean and spacious but bathrooms in particular are dated, make noise with a creaky glass door, the seals leak and are mouldy. Pillows hard and no extra pillows or blankets offered. *No inflatables in the pool, except when it suits them on pool party day. The kids were disappointed. * Food, choice is very limited. Ate pizza and pasta on repeat which was made freshly and they guy doing it was lovely, making sure my daughter got served when people pushed in. They also clear up before the end of service and remove things like Nutella for the kids pancakes. *Entertainment, very dated and very little on offer. I imagine due to lack of budget and as mentioned by others, the Italians were favoured and English ignored. Not even smiled at so it didn’t feel too friendly. * Not what I class as all inclusive, cocktails 4euro extra, no bottled water, you have to carry a bottle around and refill. No change in beach towels unless you pay 2 euro each. Cabana beds around pool 15 euro a day so they generally don’t get used which is a waste. Would I stay again, not anytime soon but if looking for a cheap holiday then potentially.
