We were at Arena Suites for Christmas. The staff are amazing, they can’t do enough for you. There is a great selection of food at all meal times. Christmas Day of fun started at the pool after breakfast. Cava served at your sunbed. Of course Santa came and was ceremoniously pushed in the pool. Great fun. Games for the children and adults. The Christmas evening Gala Dinner was amazing. From the petite fores and Cava on arrival. Being escorted to a table. Choosing a bottle of wine and the fabulous array of food. Well Done to you all. This hotel at any time of the year is excellent. A 10 min walk to the El Campanario shopping centre. A 20 min walk to the Main Street, which has everything you could possibly want.

“Incredible entertainment”

Really enjoyed my holiday there, it was comfortable with incredible service from all the staff, but what stood out was the entertainment. Really enjoyed my holiday there, it was comfortable with incredible service from all the staff, but what stood out was the entertainment. Both entertainers were incredible but one of them, Ruben, made my holiday better than I could have imagined. His energy every day was incredible in all the activities that he led. He never failed to make me smile, whether it was in a group activity or just by coming over and talking to me and my family. From beating him at darts during the day to dancing with him on an evening he was always fun to be around and he made every day I spent there so much better. Could not recommend enough as it was a really fun holiday.

“Fantastic holiday”

Just back from 9 nights stay , hotel is spotless, rooms are really big and spacious , we had room 303 and we got the sun all day on our balcony , but if u had the block opposite they didn’t get any sun at all neither did the Sunbed , hence why people were queuing every morning just before 9 to plac… more

Just back from 9 nights stay , hotel is spotless, rooms are really big and spacious , we had room 303 and we got the sun all day on our balcony , but if u had the block opposite they didn’t get any sun at all neither did the Sunbed , hence why people were queuing every morning just before 9 to place their towels on a Sunbed , which personally is wrong as some people never came back for hours !! Few quests had complained but not a lot seemed to be done about it !! That is my only complaint , otherwise would definitely come back again . Entertainment was good most nights , but the highlight was the new years gala evening meal, food was fantastic and the entertainment too, staff are very helpful , pleasant and work really hard , Good location , only about 10 min walk to the beach , and would recommend Sunset beach bar, were they have live music around 4,ish but does get busy . Music square is a must too. Overall we had a fab holiday and weather was spot on too . One of our best holidays, and we,v had a lot !!

I always title my reviews “GOOD BAD AND THE UGLY”as most experiences have all these elements please read my reviews. We are very experienced seasoned holiday goers so let’s start. Let’s try to pick up on several points that have been missed on previous reviews. THE GOOD All staff are friendly smiley with reception being very helpful in arranging a wheelchair hire. Hotel and grounds kept very clean and tidy. As the Tripadvisor photos show some of the hotel is on three levels we had room no 117 for easy access but being on the lower level had the late night irritation on yes the chair dragging and door slammer competition. Rooms very clean with all having a very large very comfortable beds with walk in shower.Small fridge/cooler but bath towels are very small almost the size of a hand towel. Food ok to good and on Xmas and New Year’s Eve was superb table with and chairs dressed for the occasion with bottled wine on the table Xmas eve and Carva New Year’s Eve. Breakfast the best with freshly cooked eggs and something for everyone. In the restaurant help yourself to wine just drinkable and beer on tap as is the pool bar very good. THE BAD WI fi absolutely shocking almost impossible at times with many people streaming. Rules of the pool bar and pool area is quite obvious plastic cups only which you can buy for one euro per cup getting refunded when you leave or big tip bring your own cups which hold more liquid but we noticed several people walking around the pool area with GLASS beer glasses which wasn’t policed by the staff. THE UGLY Now this is where the fun begins as for the time of year the sun only covers half the pool area so we get the title of my review “SUN BED WARS”which is an embarrassment to us Brits taking the trick of Germans to a higher level? The pool rule is no towels down before 9am as the pool area is cleaned but they all get out trying to get their pitch to be told no towels down before 9am so you get loads of people just standing from 8.30 ish with towels and as per the photo’s by 9.05 all towels down. The most irritating scenario is people leave one bed gaps so over a run of beds you can’t get a bed for two to then see towels left out for hours on end with nobody on them😡 TIPS Out of the hotel you have a short walk to the beach with several bars serving excellent good value food with a pint on average three euros and lovely to just chill watching the world go by as the hotel pool is like coming back to a seal colony with loud shouting after a day drinking the all inclusive. A walk to the local market 10mins good and further on main town leading down to the port with lots of interesting shops and bars 👍 This is not a four star hotel 3.5 at best but stil very good if your on a budget. What let’s this hotel down is unfortunately the clientele very rowdy by 4pm but fortunately I have a Geordie mode button on my hearing aids so most is muted👍 As you may tell we didn’t locate around the pool much but if you like fighting for a bed this time of year please enjoy😎 Happy holidays “Victor Meldrew”
