“Quality hotel but expensive to eat and drink.”

We stayed at the hotel over the New Year period. On arrival the porters were very helpful, as were reception staff. We had room 365, a double room with a sea view, but no sun. If you want Sun on your balcony you need a room on the opposite side of the hotel. The cleaners also did an outstanding job keeping the room spotless. The pools were big and the heated pool was perfect. There was plenty of seating, but as it was busy when we were there, people did start putting towels out from 6am to get the best spots: the sun leaves most of the pool area around 4:30pm except for near the baby pool. We went bed and breakfast with a view to getting half board. Upon asking we were told the evening meal was €44 pp (€22 for child), and the New Years gala dinner was €225 pp (€112 child). We ended up eating our meals out and averages around €50 for three of us for food, drinks and ice cream. Breakfast was ok, lots of choice, but some of the food had been left sitting out and didn’t look very appealing. The bacon was awful. Food at the pool bar was also expensive in comparison to the surrounding restaurants. Quality was ok. Cocktails were €13 each,a small beer €6.

“Lovely staff, relaxing spa, and incredible massage”

I went to the spa with my family a few days ago, and it was really good. The woman that welcome us was so friendly and helpful, we were not staying at the resort but at another villa but couldn’t leave our luggage there, so she took care of them for us even tho we had loads of them. I went to the spa with my family a few days ago, and it was really good. The woman that welcome us was so friendly and helpful, we were not staying at the resort but at another villa but couldn’t leave our luggage there, so she took care of them for us even tho we had loads of them. The swimming pool in the spa was really good I just think it’s a shame that they were loads of kids playing around. It’s supposed to be a relaxing place so I think young kids should not be allowed in the spa. But everything else was perfect. The best part was my neck and back massage I got with a lovely lady who was incredible with her hands. I really recommend this place. We will definitely be back

Stayed at the Sheraton with friends for 5 nights over the new year period. Positives: - Lovely grounds, large pool area, didn’t have to fight for a sun bed - The hotel is on the beach. - The guy organising activities by the pool was friendly and up-beat. - It’s a short walk in to town and there is a shopping mall and bowling alley right next door. - Bedrooms and bathrooms were large and bathrooms had both a bath and a shower. Would recommend booking a top floor room as the floors are tiled so you can hear footsteps etc from the rooms above. - Rooms were serviced well each day by housekeeping. - The waiters in the lobby bar were friendly and efficient. - There was a good party organised for residents on New Years Eve. Areas for improvement: - Breakfast buffet was crowded, not enough staff to turn tables around quickly or replenish food. Hot food was lukewarm as heat lamps were not strong enough to keep food hot. Staff seemed stressed. - Some hotel staff were very helpful, others weren’t. We asked several staff members (including a receptionist) to recommend local restaurants and none of them would. Not sure if this is a hotel policy (in order to encourage people to eat at the hotel) but it was disappointing nevertheless. - Maintenance needed to outside areas - Some sun beds were broken, the crazy golf area was not manned and there was gravel on some of the holes. - Poolside bar was very busy and the service took a long time during peak periods. - Games room was poor. You had to pay for everything except table tennis. Tried to get change from the reception desk to use the pool table and they were not able to help. Overall the hotel was an ‘ok’ 4 star but certainly not 5 star.
