Just had a lovely time here – in the resort and the island. Arrival (easy car-hire – AutoReisen – from the airport) was a little difficult as there are a lot of roadworks going on around the complex and the instructions to reception were rather ambiguous (“take second left after road to supermarket” might have been better). They are renovating a number of apartments which are currently out of action. Ours (#63), I think, had a new bathroom basin and toilet but there were minor imperfections (bathroom mirror silvering was going around the edge, shower door handle was cracked, furniture a little worn, twin beds with mattresses that didn’t quite fit the bases) - although these didn't really detract from our stay. Yes, it’s close to the airport so there are planes going over but not so much or so low as to cause a problem (for us, at this time of year, at least). We arrived to find a bottle of bubbly, a litre of milk and a carton of orange juice in the fridge. Thank you. Apartment came with kettle, toaster, microwave and 2-ring hob and filter coffee jug (although we used the latter for keeping water cool in the fridge). Mostly full complement (4) of cutlery and crockery items. Maid service most days. We overlooked one of the two pools (the quieter and less breezy one - without the pool bar) – nice to have breakfast on the balcony; a minor problem here is that despite there being clear signs – in English and Spanish - saying the area should be clear after 6pm it wasn’t, with young children screaming, shouting and jumping into the pool and others using the loungers for quite some time after. In fairness 6pm did seem a little early and most people were quiet. The other pool had an 8pm curfew – I don’t know if that was adhered to. Caleta de Fuste is a popular beach and resort with decent restaurants, shops and attractions (and a market twice a week) although we spent very little time there. As it is roughly in the middle of the east side of the island it is a good centre for touring. With a car (paved roads only) we explored the island top to bottom, taking in local culture as well as the Isla de Lobos, Betancuria, El Cotillo, Morro Jable, Calderon Hondo, Arco de las Penetas, and the dunes by Correlajo (but we should have done this before our last evening so we could have stayed out longer to enjoy the night sky!).

Having been here before I knew what to expect and generally was pleased and will no doubt go again. However, it can be off putting as there is no inventory and many items were missing from the "bungalow" and it took various visits over 4 days until I was happy with what there was, luckily I was there long enough for this to happen but it could have put many off.. It included better curtains that covered a window, microwave, toaster, saucepan, cutlery, tin opener and drying rack. The staff were extremely helpful and repaired the front and balcony doors - the bungalow had not had the original wooden doors replaced although many had and the hot water cylinder was replaced due to its contents causing discoloured water ! There used to be an occasional free bus to Rosario but this no longer runs but the area is not too far from the main road and bus station although again the nearest bus stop at the roundabout is no longer in use and so as the Club is located uphill, and the land train has also stopped visitors will have to be reasonably fit or use a taxi.

First off u pay for wot u get Rooms , old style dark wood , beds about 20 years old not very clean , never had sheets changed in seven days aswell as the towels Pool and pool bar , looks like it has been done up and quite nice , pool bar food and staff are excellent It looks like the apartments are getting done up and look very good would come back and go in a refurbished room it’s in a ideal place
