This was my 4th time at this hotel and it was again a great experience. Reception staff were fantastic as were the cleaners, bar staff and wait staff. Room was great, fantastic views and very clean, recommend getting a higher floor as I feel you can get a better view that way but that’s just personal taste. Facilities are good but could do with updating, also the hotel in both the restaurant and bar felt understaffed which is not the employees fault but definitely should be looked into. Food is great there’s something for everyone. I do think especially at dinner you should be shown to a table to help the waitstaff as well as it being a struggle to find a table. Animation team were fantastic, aqua gym was always fun and I enjoyed playing water polo. Overall a great experience and would recommend staying at. Will come back again to the hotel in the future.

The location of the hotel is perfect, right on the beach which was not busy and you can pay for sunbeds each day (4 euros per bed). The location of the hotel is perfect, right on the beach which was not busy and you can pay for sunbeds each day (4 euros per bed). Also a short transfer and only a few minutes walk to a modern shopping centre with supermarket, nice clothes/gift shops etc. The pool area was nice - not too busy and hardly anyone had reserved sunbeds which was so much better than other hotels we have been to, and meant you could always get a sunbed whatever time of day. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great with lots of choice and everything you could want. The amenities on offer was really good - our boys loved visiting the casino and games room for a game of pool, or ping pong outside. Only negatives - none of us particularly liked the food in the evening (went with my husband and two teenage sons), the salad, cheese and ham etc was nice but we weren’t too keen on any of the other choices. (Maybe this was just us?!) It seemed in the evening that the restaurant needed more staff- you weren't able help yourself to drinks and had to wait to be served to give your order - it was so busy that on two nights we had eaten our whole meal and not been served! It would have been much easier if water at least was available for self service. This was in no way the staffs fault, they were working so hard! I imagine that if you ate closer to closing time it would have been quieter. Also, a small thing really, but the key cards hardly ever worked which got a little irritating to have to go back down to reception each time to have the staff reset our key cards (which they did so willingly) before being able to get into our rooms.

The good points: The staff are superb. Friendly, cheerful and helpful. Any glitches are quickly sorted. Our ‘stuck’ patio door was reported at Reception and before my husband had returned from reporting it someone was at the door to fix it! Now that’s what I call good service. The beds are very comfortable and the bed linen soft and clean. My duvet cover was slightly torn on top … did it affect my comfort? No. Did it affect my sleep? No. Did I care? No. The food is buffet style and it is clear that the staff have gone to a lot of trouble to provide a wide and interesting selection of choices. If you are wanting Cordon Bleu then you’ll not find it here but if you are wanting fresh food with fresh choices every day and as much - or as little - as you want to eat then you will not be disappointed. There are three pools of varying temperatures! Finding a sun bed was not an issue. The beach is nearby and the town within a comfortable walking distance, even for an octogenarian. ( Me) It is near the airport … though we were the last drop off on the shuttle bus. The slightly less good points: Our room had the view of a derelict Massage hut to one side. Not pretty. BUT as we never sat out on the patio area or spent many daylight hours in the room this didn’t trouble us. This blot on the landscape was out weighed by the fact that the room was on the pool level floor and convenient for the restaurant. We had issues with the room’s key cards… in fact quite a few people did. Reception sorted it out immediately and cheerfully. If I could give the staff more than 5 stars I would. LOUD “music” booming out from an audio system at varying intervals during the day. The aqua gym is excellent but need the music be so loud and intrusive? Yes, the resort is near the airport … and also on the flight path!! The place is mostly well kept but is rather ‘tired’ and would benefit from a spruce up. Would we come here again? On balance, yes.

“Tired rooms, views of skips and bins. Disappointed”

Hotel clean albeit looking tired in places. Staff are lovely. My room should have been on floor 4 but got changed to -1 where i was looking directly onto a wall with a road. I did not request this. I overheard a couple saying that they changed their room when I arrived, as they weren't satisfied.… more

Hotel clean albeit looking tired in places. Staff are lovely. My room should have been on floor 4 but got changed to -1 where i was looking directly onto a wall with a road. I did not request this. I overheard a couple saying that they changed their room when I arrived, as they weren't satisfied. Needless to say I was disappointed. My room was looking tired and the sink plug was stuck ( this soon was repaired though) Food is hit and miss. If you go at 8pm for dinner there's not much left to chose from. Plus staff were blocking off parts of the restaurant with chairs so that they could clean it up ready for morning. This isn't safe, as it was also blocking fire escapes in the process! Also there didn't appear to be enough staff at meal times. Waiting staff were rushed, and getting a drink took a while. The main bar only had 2 staff making waiting for a drink a nightmare. The entertainment wasn't up to much either if any! I have stayed at the sister hotel the Elba Sara which was fantastic 2 yrs ago. However, I went there in April and it had gone downhill, hence why I booked here for November as it looked better. It would appear that both hotels should be downgraded to a 3 star. I stay in 4 star hotels as i wanted something nicer. In fact I've stayed in better 3 star hotels on Tenerife, and Majorca!
