Returned to this hotel after previously visiting 10 years ago. Pros: Not far from airport Beach front location Near to Atlantica shopping centre Cons: Too many to mention to be honest Rooms need updating ( when we got to our room husband had dried blood on the back of his bed pillow) When checked in asked to hire pool towels only to be told there wasn’t any available, try the next day, the next day still non until late afternoon and after speaking to Jet 2 rep. Rooms towels- on 3 occasions had to contact reception as maid did not leave towels after cleaning the room, apparently the laundry is outsourced and after the Christmas period obvs could not cope with amount of guests at hotel. Staff- are not very welcoming Lobby bar staff rude, at times there were 23 people in the queue at the bar, the people sitting around the bar did not seem to queue but get their drinks topped up frequently, maybe tipping the staff me thinks. Restaurant staff again not very friendly. Animation seemed very friendly though. Food: I didn’t like any of it, big queue for eggs or omelette, poor guy looked over worked, and by end of holiday there was no sliced bread for toasting, all baskets empty, cold sprouts and broad beans for breakfast!! New Year’s Eve, much of the food choice for the gala dinner was prawns, mussels etc, nothing really special especially if you dislike shell fish. The only food I enjoyed in the week was after our visit to the on site Italian restaurant where we could choose from a menu. The New Year’s party was a Bollywood theme in Convention centre but after us being last group to use the restaurant, when we went to the room it was already packed with no seats, we were given a party bag with blowers and hats but we went back to lobby bar for drinks only too be told at 10.30pm that the bar was closed and we would have to move to convention room if we wanted drinks, this left a lot of guests very un happy. I found the hotel cleanliness standards to have fallen, restaurant floor dirty never swept/ mopped, the glass dirty on windows, our room wasn’t mopped all week neither were the corridors, standards have certainly dropped. The beach was nice 4 euros each bed and 4 for umbrella. The Beach Club bar was nice for club sandwich and chips at lunch time. Location of hotel is great, lovely walks in the morning, shame I will not be returning though.

“Lovely staff, quiet location”

The beds and pillows were really comfy. The towels were fluffy and large too. We stayed on the top floor on "the sunny side" overlooking the Atlantico shopping centre next door. The food choice was good there was a great salad bar and cold offering, all the staff whether on reception, a bar or in the restaurant were fantastic and helpful. I wouldn't describe this as 4* though and the cleanliness in the restaurant and drinks really let the place down. Our room had towels changed on request (leave them in the tub) and bin emptied, but otherwise the bath, floors and surfaces weren't touched for the whole week. The restaurant table mats, even at times we were first in were not always clean and the other surfaces such as tile tops on the walls (the bit that separates tiles and the wallpaper) had full dust layer as did the decor e.g. pictures. We weren't able to get a late check out, which is understandable at this time of year, so we were kindly offered a room you can book for up to an hour for a shower etc and there is a luggage room to store luggage in. I wouldn't stay again, because of teh above and it didnt present value for money compared to other plaves we have stayed on the island, but wouldn't suggest others don't give it a go.
