We visited last week and had a fab time. The team there are all very friendly. And always patient with my son who is autistic (non-verbal). A highlight was seeing him in the pool on the big blue carpet. Great fun had by all. The restaurant had loads of different theme evenings with loads of choice for all. My only negative is evening meal starts at 7pm. A little late for us but we adapted. We’ve stayed in many hotels in Fuerteventura and this is definitely one of our new favourites. Will definitely use the brand again. And have booked an Elba hotel for next summer allready.

This is our second visit to this lovely place, last time was 8 years ago, with teenagers along for the ride. Said teenagers are now adults arranging their own holidays, so we sought somewhere we could come to that is affordable, comfortable and where we could fully relax. And this, is it! Let me break this review down into logical chunks Travel - we chose Jet2 for the trip. Birmingham Airport has received a lot of adverse criticism for massive queues recently. Having checked in online, and booked fast track security and a lounge (reviewed separately), we arrived at the airport, dropped bags and 15 minutes later were in duty free. The flight was due in from Ibiza, and was a few minutes late, and our departure was likewise only a few minutes late. It was trouble free and comfortable with a great crew. On arrival at Fuerteventura we chose not to wait for the coach as we would likely be one of the last drop offs, instead taking a taxi, which is roughly 15 minutes. Check-in - we were checked in by Joni, a lovely guy with poor English skills, he might be new here but it was quite painless, we were given all the info we needed. Because we had taken the taxi, we were able to drop our bags in our room and take advantage of a full evening meal. Room - on our last visit, we were in room 348, and I had e-mailed reception to request a similar room. Lo and behold, we were in room 348 once more. It’s a lovely room, good sized bathroom, balcony overlooking the pool, air con, tea and coffee making facilities and a huge bed. Cleaned each day to a good standard, but a couple of flaws. Exactly as per our last visit, our teacups weren’t cleaned 2 days running, and those same two days the stock of towels dwindled to 1 hand towel. A call to reception did not get a result, but a visit to the front desk and a polite conversation with Anita bore fruit. The linen in the hotel is of good quality, not, as some report, tatty and full of holes! Food - overall, no complaints. Meals are buffet style, allergens etc clearly marked. Breakfast has been great each day, lunch sometimes leaves a bit to be desired. I chose a lamb chop today that closely resembled the sole of a shoe in texture. Having said that, there is plenty of choice that should please everyone. The staff works hard to bring drinks and clear tables, and overall, the food is pretty good. AI - bars open at 10:00 am with a good range of drinks. One improvement is that speed of service at the bars has improved - it would be interesting to see if that changes once the school holidays start in the UK. Snacks in the pool bar are a little basic. AI customers get one visit to the Italian á la carte restaurant which serves a good menu of tasty food, and has great service Facilities and entertainment- the pools and gardens are great, there are plenty of sun beds up to around 9:00 am. The animation team work hard, although we came here to veg out so we haven’t done much. Stand out people - I have personally had great interactions with Anita and Bea on reception, Miguel, Alessio and Jessica from the animation team, and Ninca in the restaurant. There are many other great people here. Conclusion - this is a great place, location is lovely, it’s comfy, has good people. Would we come again? Given the right circumstances, we would.

“Very enjoyable holiday”

A very enjoyable holiday at the Elba Carlota Fuerteventura. Excellent choice of food in restaurant. Choice of one heated and one cooler pools. Stayed in a senior suite plenty of space for our party of 3 adults. Hotel in good location for all amenities.

I have visited this hotel a number of times over the years it never fails to tick all the boxes. We are currently half way through our current visit and are relaxed and content with everything. Hotel its self is beautifully laid out and internally spotless. The staff cannot do enough for you in any area. I haven't paid for al'acarte food nor do i expect it, it is what it is. We can find something to eat every night and always well presented. That said we had a free meal at the Arrecife Italian restraunt on site, this was faultless and well worth paying to go again although i do think as we have paid for Half Board including our evening meal the fee of 30 euros per person a little steep. It would possibly attract more return guests if this was reduced a little. The entertainment throughout the day and evening is of a good standard and varies daily. The hotel is located only a short ride from the airport, it is next door to a small but lovely shopping centre with some small boutiques, you can exit the hotel from the rear gardens which again are superably kept, straight onto a beautiful beach. The main town lays a 30 to 40 min walk away along a pedestrianised walkway. The local bus service stops outside the hotel where for a very cheap fare you can gain access to other areas of the island with ease. The only complaint i have is not the hotels fault but a minority of guests on All inclusive that seem to think leaving all their remanants of food and drink glasses alongside their sunbeds all over the floor a thing that is done. The staff work tirelessly to ensure guests holidays are memorable and relaxed for the right reasons, they are not here to mop up irresponsible peoples rubbish. After all there are bins around the poolside and if you can walk to the bar to get your drinks surely you can walk your empties back to the bar. We will return again.
