I have just returned from a self-catering week with family. The 2 twin bedroom apartment was spacious and well laid out. The water splash area is excellent for children of all ages. The pool area gets very crowded, and the sun loungers get claimed prior to the pool opening. The overflowing bins around the pool are off-putting and an easy thing for management to improve. Well positioned hotel for the shops, restaurants and the beach. All of which are kept very clean.

Stayed in a premium room and all inclusive for 5 nights early October with my 6 year old son. On check in Maria at reception was fabulous, we got to our room and none of the extra special bits as advertised were in it. Maria made sure the next morning bathrobes towels a bottle of water and 1 bath salts were left in the room.Jody in the bar was fabulous our first night, very friendly and understanding. Food was delicious, get there early. There's a small shop on the premises stocking a bit of everything and staff are very friendly. Most of the staff are friendly. Pool is lovely and clean, my son loved the splash area. Entertainment staff around the pool are very good. Area is clean but our room wasn't cleaned for the 5 nights, first morning towels were dropped in and bin emptied. Our third day we arrived back to find a cleaner there who was very pleasant but only emptied the bin and I think changed the towels. Other than that it wasn't touched. I watched a review that recommended the superior room for the real and comy queen size bed, ours wasn't it was 2 beds joined together with a thinner mattress on top, level with the bottom and a gap that was filled with the cushions. I had to make a complaint about a cleaner in the dining area who thought it was hilarious to point and laugh at my son for having his cros on the wrong feet and continued to inform her colleague about him and continued to point and laugh 😳I approached her but she only spoke Spanish. I went to reception and Vanessa was fabulous, very understanding and empathic. Overall it is a lovely hotel, great pool , food and location. Taxis outside the airport to hotel approx 15e. 10 min walk to a beautiful beach. The few great staff make up for the bad ones.

Family of 4, 2 Adults & 2 Children, arrived late on a Wednesday evening to only one person on reception, she was an older lady and very rude (I let it slip as she was on her own and there was a lot of people checking in) but no, she was as miserable and rude throughout the rest of the week. The other lady and gentleman were a lot more pleasant. check in took forever, when we finally got to the front of the queue she just passed us the keys, gave us a map and another piece of paper with AI times and shooed us off. I had to ask where we were to go and she said out there turn left, that was that, if you have ever been you will know how lost you get trying to find your room for the first few days. The hotel grounds are very dark and not much lighting. Our beds were made about 5 times through the week but probably cleaned twice throughout our stay. No clean bedding was put on and our bins weren’t emptied much. My son was sick on the 2nd night there, I cleaned it up and tied the bag and stripped the duvets off both beds and one pillow case as a little had got on each. They were never replaced, when we arrived back later that day, the bed had been made but no covers replaced or a pillowcase even left! I had to ask 3 times over 3 days! And twice was told there was a problem with the laundry and they had no replacements !! The smell of sewerage from the bathroom was something I absolutely could not stomach! And it seemed worse 1st thing on a morning, the stench would wake me up and that was with the door closed and the toilet lid closed 😳. If you did not get up and put towels on sunbeds by 7am each morning you had no chance of getting by the pool the whole day! Sorry but I don’t go on holiday to have to wake up for 6.30am so I can lie by the pool 😳. The pools were freezing cold, one pool was meant to be heated but wasn’t. The jacuzzi was absolutely filthy with stuff floating all over it the first 2 days but this was cleaned while we were there and was much better, the other jacuzzi was closed the whole time we were there. I have never known a hotel to have such a bad monitoring of sunbeds. The restaurant was absolute carnage, sometimes you couldn’t get seated! I don’t think I’ve ever been to an AI that you just wander in without having to give your room number. You had to go early or it was scraps! the food was never hot even if you were first in. Morning pastries were mini and only one tray of croissants were put out once gone they were not replaced. Absolutely no monitoring system in place so just walk in and help yourself! There was SC eating in the restaurant most nights as there was just no one monitoring anything. 2 people sitting on tables for 4 or 6 as no where else to sit resulting in people not being able to be seated. I asked for some Nutella one morning as it wasn’t yet out and was screamed at by one of the staff, she stormed off and someone else brought the bowl full out about 30 minutes later. We ate out most nights as I couldn’t bare the thought of having to go in there. This hotel is soooo short staffed! The staff in the bar area are so overworked but really go above and beyond, the hotel is very lucky to have them. The entertainment team again were amazing and a credit to Broncemar, the evening entertainment was really good. Unfortunately, I’m not sure I would return and if I did it would be self catering only basis. This hotel really could be amazing but it’s really not. So unfortunate as I was really looking forward to our stay here and have returned feeling quite deflated.

After booking this hotel I saw all the bad reviews and arrived with a few hesitations, especially about the food after it was slated. Food- We didn’t have a problem with the food it was more the edible and there was plenty of choice at all meal times. Some of it wasn’t hot it was warm but I wouldn’t go as far as saying it was cold and we never needed to use the microwave. What I will say is that on several occasions they ran out of eggs, bread and croissants at breakfast. Rooms- the rooms are very pleasant and nicely decorated but we had no privacy as balconies directly face other people’s balconies. Im confident our bedding was changed once or twice in the 10 days we was there. On multiple occasions the bin wasn’t emptied, towels weren’t changed and they never took empty glasses. I don’t think this is down to the cleaners this is down the management and the lack of cleaners. One day we actually saw them running out the hotel for their buses and one crying because she missed it. They are completely overrun. Staff- most of the staff are an absolute credit to the hotel mainly Jodie in the sports bar and Luigi who runs the entertainment team. Pools - pretty cold although one says it’s heated. The bins around the pool overflow and the floor isn’t cleaned very well daily. Beds are stacked up high and left for you to put down yourself on several occasions. Overall for a hotel rated 3* plus and what we paid we were more than happy and had a good time I just think around the hotel there could be some tweaks made and extra staff to improve upon the comments said above.
