We've just returned from a brilliant week's stay at the Fuerteventura Royal Level with our almost-2 year old daughter, and we couldn't fault it! Room - we stayed in a suite with hot tub that faced the road, although there was no noise from any traffic! Plenty of room for the 3 of us, bed was really comfy too. Location - the Royal Level hotel area is great, over the road from the marina/harbour area and also not far from the Mafasca buffet restaurant. It takes about 10-15 minutes to walk from this hotel to Fuerteventura Mar, and you can go across the boardwalk and follow the beach which is a nice walk. Facilities - we were blown away at just how much is included in the Royal Level package and it's definitely worth doing. You get access to multiple buffets including your own exclusive Royal Level buffet on the marina, as well as the pool/snack/ice cream bars and we got 3 opportunities to dine in the a la carte restaurants during our 7-night stay. The pools at Royal Level are great too, including a really shallow one that our daughter was able to stand up in. Plenty of sunbeds, never had to struggle to find a free one. Food - honestly the food was fab, we'd read a couple of questionable reviews before coming but we didn't have a bad meal once. So much choice at the buffets - they can be a little repetitive but quality was good. We also ate at the Palo Santo Mexican and the Rodizio Brazilian - both very impressive (the Mexican is a buffet, the Brazilian is not). We also tried La Dolce Vita Italian but was a shame that it was only a small tasting menu available with our hotel stay, as the rest of the menu looked so good. Next time I would probably just book it and pay the full price to access the whole choice. We spent a lot of our time at the Mafasca buffet, the Green Bar (lobby bar of Fuertenvetura Mar) and the Show Factory (sports bar/terrace on the marina). Really enjoyed it all and had a really great stay. Thanks so much to all the staff who clearly work very hard!

We just came back from our holidays . We had a great stay. Food was ok in some restaurants better than others. The room and the cleaning were ok. Only a few small details in the room like broken chair. Having the all inclusive deal you have access to all the areas Of the hotel ( except of course adulta only) . The staff were in general very friendly and helpful. I will point out the cons in this service: 1- the royal level doesn’t have any food only a few nachos when in the other areas was plenty. Should be in this area too specially if you are paying the most expensive service that the hotel can offer. If we wanted food we had to go to the other pools. Specially with kids that they ask you for snacks all day long. 2- even though the staff was nice the reception of royal level doesn’t have any proper information of what is happening in the hotel : examples: not knowing about the classes in the spa or if the prices that you see in the app have a discount, that is ok, but i expect that the receptionist picks up the phone and check not send me to the place to check, same with restaurants we were told that we should do for every meal reservations even in the buffet restaurants, that is not true you have a dedicated area no waiting, only in rodizio, palo santo , la Dolce vita and the asian restaurant you need reservations 3- i asked about the activities for the kids that are in the app, the answer was that they don’t have any. So I have to show them what is in the app and find put myself. Again , i understand is not possible to Know everything but at least try to check. These are a few examples.Last but not least i totally disagree that people from the kids shows start filming the kids without asking to the parents. This a normal rule in Europe and you have to take this into account.

This was our second visit to the Barcelo Royal Adult Level and we tried the all inclusive offer this time. Royal level AI gives access to other restaurants and snack bars in the complex which was a real plus, although the ice cream parlour by the harbour had no ice cream every time we went down there - not great tbh. More positively however we were pleased to see that overall the food offerings had improved since we last stayed there during February 2023 - still a little problem with hot counter food being just lukewarm however. Selection was excellent however especially the salad bar. Bar service was good - the cocktails were fabulous. Drinks are premium brands and the bar staff are friendly, remember your drink choices and chat happily to customers. They really were quite outstanding as were the dining room team. Rooms are clean and a decent size with fresh towels and bedding replaced as often as you wish. Was great to see the problem of the bathroom shower flooding the floor has been addressed. What hasn’t been addressed however and is an absolute pet hate of mine, is sun bed reserving! It’s absolutely awful at this hotel and nothing is done about it. I would suggest management seriously get a grip with this as beds are being reserved from very early in the morning. We had a fairly early flight on our last day and had breakfast at 7.30am; unbelievably, the majority of beds around the pool already had towels on them. Also, we saw on several occasions beds reserved with towels, books etc first thing in the morning and not being occupied until mid-afternoon. This is really unacceptable. Perhaps management should think about adopting the system we experienced in Cyprus where sun beds were allocated at check in and were yours to use for the duration of your stay. Because of the above minor food issues but particularly the sun bed reserving not being addressed I don’t feel I can give a 5* review which is a shame as I would’ve been delighted to do so.

We had a lovely 5 night stay at Royal Level. We found the accommodation spotlessly clean & very comfortable. The Royal Level area is very quiet with an air of calm. Every member of staff that passes you acknowledges you & are so polite. The waiting staff, bar staff are wonderful. Very polite & happy. The lovely Dorka tries her best to round up people for activities, the water aerobics & relaxing session in the pool is amazing. Dorka enjoys getting to know the guests & is happy in her job, well done. The pool area is lovely, the pool is heated & the sunbeds in the pool are just great. There are plenty of sunbeds, you may not get right beside the pool but they extend down the side of the restaurant with plenty of parasols. Food - breakfast is excellent, lots of choice. Lunch is good. Dinner is disappointing, which is a real shame as we felt this was the only issue that let the hotel down. Lack of main meal choices. Would we come back again?
