Booked in here for our stay for my daughters hennie, 5 days. On arrival they couldn't find our booking, but after about 10 minutes all seemed ok and the guy had an apartment for us. Still needed cleaned but we could drop our cases and come back after lunch. Other daughter got bit sitting in reception at the door but didn't think much about it, put cream on and left it. (Something just flew in) Came back later and apartment ready. Large 2 bedroom apartment with sofa bed in living room. Large rooms, loads of storage. Tiny shower in one bathroom but larger one in other. Fully equipped kitchen, fridge/freezer, cooker etc. Large balcony that was lovely to sit in after a long day at the parks, or out. The rooms were quiet and a bit far from most bars etc but that's what we wanted. Yes I know a hennie wanting peace but yes! We asked the guys to order us taxis most days and they were very obliging. Only real downside was the "bite" on the first day. It got worse, we ended up at a pharmacy twice needing creams etc. Ankle, foot and leg swelled and made it sore to walk. We had taken anti-histamines and creams but nothing we had worked. Ended up in A&E when we returned to Aberdeen. A course of antibiotics and different creams for 7 days. Not sure what bit her but a bad reaction anyway. (Nothing to do with the apartment I may add)

Ok this is a fare review based on our holiday 22/8-27/8 2017. Upon arrival we had to stumble our way down stairs to a very poorly lit entrance "no lights on at 11:30pm" we had to fathem out were the reception was and receptionist who was based in one of the ground floor appartments the first words out of his mouth was you pay €150 euros deposit for room I said no chance mate! We are here as a family not a 6 stags on a stag do 18-30 etc but he didn't understand being African! He couldn't understand me as his English was very limited he showed us to our room then left.the rooms are very big and well laid out not the cleanest as I found an empty condom wrapper under one of the beds!! We had to make our own beds and we're given 4 medium size towels and 6 hand towels to last use the 5 nights with 4 x children lol but there is a washing machine that we made good use of indeed. Some of the other guests were a bit noisy and ignored the signs to respect other guests but what do you expect from very ignorant French people! We didn't get our room cleaned not that we needed it as it was always kept nice any way. Don't leave any kind of food open as you will be bombarded with ants and believe me there is billions on the site! Also we couldn't relax by the pool as we were eaten alive by Mosquitos me and the wife have over 100 bites between us this was the only thing g really that spoilt the holiday for us so be very vigilant. The location is a good 25 minute walk into salou centre there is also a lydl stall about 15 mins walk very handy indeed. On a whole we had a good time and enjoyed the place I would stay there again as it's cheap and located well but for the mozzys it was a good trip. Everything you need is in the rooms. Fridge freezer, cooker, microwave, washer etc. I would recommend but don't pay deposits if your not a gang of kids getting drunk and trashing the place! They need to use discretion taking €150 from a family is a joke! Don't pay it we didn't.

Lets get the bad points out of the way.... First problem, upon arrival you have to pay £150 euros for families or £75 euros for couples deposit, which you get back IF rooms are cleaned before you leave or as long as there is no broken items or furniture etc.Even though my travel agent assured us we DID NOT need one. Second is that there is not a bus stop outside hotel... Third there is also no food facilities at all on site!! Though it states otherwise on the advert.... fourth Not due to the fault of the manager of the apartments, there was the young groups staying at the Hotel that took partying to a whole new level!! No respect for families from that Group.... The manager tried to get them to stop but they did not.... Now the good bits.... We loved our apartment, the space is perfect. Cooking facilities were good and if you did not have it in the room all you had to do was ask the manager and he would insure you had it... There was no room service or cleaner while you are away but that is to be expected staying budget.... So not a problem for us... The outside area was always cleaned buy the manager and anything that needed fixing he did. We had great fun playing pool... Small charge of 1 euro per game applies. Table tennis was free. The swimming pool was always clean and Tidy. But a little cold. Shaded well in the morning and up til around 3 pm. Wifi available but only downstairs in reception. We have already booked the same place for next year...

Got back from there to Birmingham UK yesterday. If you are clued up, this could be a good place for you to catch some lovely sunshine... Negatives first: 'Residential area' mustn't be confused with 'quiet area' - by day you can hear the neighbouring hotels' entertainment teams, and from around 2300 through to 0530 you get the noise from the very busy clubland. If you want to immerse yourselves into this then great, but ours was a family holiday so we didn't! Next up is the term 'American kitchen, which is how the self catering apartments are described. You get an 'under the counter' fridge and a twin-hob electric cooker. An oven or microwave would have been useful. The pool bar DOES prepare food between around 1230 and 1800, and it's not too expensive either. The pool bar prices however..... 125ml glass of coke came out at 1.75€ . Be aware that you will pay a cash deposit and local taxes. We were told upon booking, but some travel agents neglect to say anything. Don't worry though - getting the deposit back at the end of your stay is straightforward. The pool is clean and well maintain ed. Venture into town (5 mins walk) and there are loads of places to eat and buy souvenirs - being a typical Brit abroad, I spent a few nice hours in The Red Lion: good basic food, decent prices, live sport and quizzes every night: like everyone's favourite local!. Beach is 10 good minutes' walk away, and is worth the walk... but the sand gets VERY warm! Portaventura water park is less than 10 minutes away, and is a very popular local venue - not cheap though! In summary, take loads of euros, take good quality ear plugs, and someone who can cook on just 2 electric hobs, and you'll have a great time!
