“excellent place to stay”

I have stayed here on a couple of occasions , each time we have the same experience. the location is excellent, the staff are so friendly . the hotel has been recently been renovated and the rooms are really nice . lovely breakfast in the morning . I absolutely will be staying here again. liz

“Great for a weekend”

A real Spanish family hotel. Popular with locals (good sign). The hotel is being progressively renovated. We chose a non-seaview room. Very nice with a great bathroom. Breakfast was excellent. We had all our other meals elsewhere (Cambrils is full of restaurants). The beach was 30 yards away across the promenade. Who needs a seaview in their room ?

“Disapointing stay”

I will start by saying the Rovira has a great location which is why I picked it but wished I had gone with my other choice round the corner which was far more up to date with a lovely pool and communal areas . The photos are misleading regarding the hotels communal areas as they are very dated and dark. Breakfast was average but the whole atmosphere is as if it is shut , perhaps this is due to it being early season .The pool area is so small and again dated and could do with a bit of a makeover and we had to ask it to be unlocked if we wanted to use it ! Staff were mostly friendly especially the waitress and cleaning staff, reception could be a bit hit and miss . I was celebrating my birthday while I was staying and did mention it on my email when asked if I had any requests, this always in my experience usually generates a complimentary bottle of cava in your room , an upgrade , or even just a greeting / acknowledgement but on this occasion nothing , not great hospitality. I will finish on a positive note and feel this saved our stay , the room was lovely as had been renovated with a lovely bathroom and great shower and nice balcony and that lovely sea view !

“Spent three nights there”

Booked the hotel as it had been recommended. Price of the room was good 66 euros a night for two for bed and breakfast. Nicely situated for an early morning walk along the beach. Booked the hotel as it had been recommended. Price of the room was good 66 euros a night for two for bed and breakfast. Nicely situated for an early morning walk along the beach. Breakfast was fine, a good selection of meats, cakes, bread etc. Bedroom walls were orange which I had not anticipated. As we were out of the hotel most of the time it was an excellent base.
