Honest review. We have just returned from a 7 night stay at the best cambrils hotel. When we arrived we were greeted by a lovely reception area. We checked in and got to our room, albeit a little small but was perfect for us as there was only myself and my partner. Rooms were spotless and aircon was very good. Fresh towels daily. I really could not fault the cleaning staff from the hotel reception to the rooms it really was cleaned to a high standard. The pool area was lovely, sunbeds could get cramped however we hired the Balinese beds daily, which were 15/20€ depending on where you got. These are so comfy and definitely worth it!! The pool is very clean and I love the help yourself concept of the soft drinks/beer/sangria round the pool. The food could be slightly hit and miss, some days we found it was the same things we had had for lunch earlier, we always found something to eat however and the food was replenished often. There was also live cooking on a morning for pancakes and eggs and on a lunch/evening for meats/fish. We really enjoyed the themed nights and loved how the staff all dressed for the occasion!!! My only concern was things were not labeled very well and sometimes it could be hard to differentiate what things were. We are lucky that we do not have allergies however I feel it could be quite difficult if you did. The hotel also went all out for San Juan festival which was on the Sunday, with fireworks and a Michael Jackson tribute. The evening entertainment was very good however a few nights it was just bingo, which didn’t bother us as we did go out on an evening. Not much within immediate walking distance of the hotel bar a few restaurants and shops. We ate at Molly malones one evening which was very good. We also took a taxi to cambrils port and into salou. Both very good and about 12€ each way. Overall I would recommend this hotel, there are definitely a few improvements that could be made but we had a great week 🇪🇸☺️

“Would have been 5 if not for shower issue”

My husband and I came back on Tuesday after a lovely fortnight here. We had a pool view room and it was perfectly adequate. The food was diverse and plentiful, no complaints from us. Bus stops right outside and Plana office over the road to buy 10 trip bus pass. Beach just a stroll over the road and it's a gorgeous beach. The pool area had enough sunbeds and I never saw any 'reserving' of beds. The staff were terrific and I didn't feel they gave preferential treatment to Spaniards. My main gripe was the over bath shower, no safety grab handles...could be a problem for some also, I couldn't reach the coat hangers 😆 may sound silly but it's amazing how frustrating it can be to have to grab the chair to stand on! Overall I would recommend this hotel and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. Just an afterthought, we were there for San Juan celebrations and the hotel went all out with including fireworks 🔥

Stayed here mid June 24,I found the staff polite and accommodating,rooms were clean and the view we had looked over the pool with a view of the nearby beach just 😁 We found that we did not have to rush for a sun bed and would amble out after breakfast after changing in our room,so possibly around 10 each morning,but noticed the beds wouldnt fill up till maybe 11:30, buzzed off the woman waiting at the doors each morning at 8:50 with her towels making sure she had the same place each day, Rooms were small but we didnt plan on staying in all day so no problem They do advertise satellite TV,but no English channels,again we came on hols not to watch TV,but its nice to watch s bit of news as you get ready, They could have done with a little more checking on the pool to stop drinking in the pool and also dive bombing,it didnt seem to bother the staff, Young girls entertained the kids and tried to get adults interested also in activities,so they were making an effort that way, Although there were a lot of elderly folk and thought the music was far to loud after the activities ended, Bus stops outside take you to Cambrills for 2:10 and opposite way to Salou and farther on not sure if it cost a little more to Tarragona but 2:10 is all we were charged each way,not much around the hotel,we enjoyed a few pints in Molly Malones the staff were lovely there.I wouldnt go again only cos I like to go different places to visit, Would I recommend it ? Yes but not for a second visit,I hope this helps

“Nice week away, clean hotel with lovely pool”

The hotel was lovely and clean. The pool was perfect didn’t have to fight for sunbeds because the doors to the pool didn’t open whilst 9 so it wasn’t stressful. Food was nice aswell. The only downside was there wasn’t much to do in the immediate area. You could walk an hour to Salou which was lovely walk along the beach front or get a taxi to Cambrils but there wasn’t much around the hotel such as bars and restaurants.

Just back from a week at Best Cambrils, after reading some of the reviews i was bit worried. We are a family of 13 (8 adults 5 kids) staying in 4 different rooms. We were always able to sit with each other all be it 2 tables of 6 + a high chair, they only do a table for 10. Food was okay lots of options. Pool bar was great, pour your own beer, Sangria, water & soft drinks. (love it) Pool opens at 9am, never had a problem getting beds, mind you we were up every morning by 9, if you’re a late sleeper you may miss out. Entertainment was ok, the young girls were great. It caterers towards Spanish speaking which was only a problem for the kids during their games as they couldn't understand what they had to do. Would i return no, but only because its too busy for me. Rooms a little small plus if there are 3/4 in a room they only give you towels for 2, although I'm sure if id caught the maid she would of given me another one. Also sheets didn't get changed all week & floor only lightly swept. My only real moan would be the room fridge, 2 small bottles of water & 2 cans of fizzy for 3/4 people on day one. No refills, no beer asked at reception they said 1st ones complimentary very angrily i mean come on, if you've ever been on an all inclusive anywhere else (we have) fridge refilled every day. Flew with Jet2 all good, transfer was ok except for drop off on main road on opposite side from Hotel not too good when you have 13 people 5 of them kids plus suitcases & a pram then add crazy cars that don't stop at the crossing. Would recommend the catamaran from Cambrils great couple of hours out at sea, kids loved sitting on net at front (parental guidance needed). My son proposed to his girlfriend on the boat, magical. Also we had floats in pool. The beach is also very nice.
