“Beautiful hotel with great staff and facilities”

Stayed here 23rd June for 11 days. Arrived around 11am, check in is 2pm I believe but are room was ready. The hotel is huge but was never overcrowded. Stayed here 23rd June for 11 days. Arrived around 11am, check in is 2pm I believe but are room was ready. The hotel is huge but was never overcrowded. We didn’t use pool area much but when we did we always found a bed in the higher level above pool. As usual ppl reserve beds in premium spots but this happens everywhere. Beach was our place to be which is lovely ( sea freezing) . The hotel has chargeable beds on beach but a little to crammed in for us, so we bought two lounger chairs to place where we wanted them. (€30 each) Food in the hotel is to die for, choice for all meals is amazing and never got fed up as it was so varied. Staff, cleaning and hotel in general is perfect. Roof top area lovely in the evening for a drink and watch sunset, open until 1am. Location is perfect for beach and town, which is left to hotel and up the steps or they have a lift for 50 cent each. Town is lovely and chilled and good prices for food and drinks. We also used the bus to Malaga which was a beautiful city ( €2.40 pp). You can also walk to the right of hotel to Benalmadena along sea front with plenty of places to stop for drink and food. All in all I couldn’t fault the hotel and would highly recommend and would return without question.

Just spent 16 days at this fabulous hotel. Repeat visit. Food to die for . Staff always friendly and helpful.Plenty of loungers around the pool. “Great place for a short solo break”

I came here for a solo trip for 4 nights. I booked the Level. Good points - quick check in, friendly staff, made to feel very welcome on the Level. The upgrade to the Level was worth it for me during the day as I enjoyed the VIP feel, the quieter atmosphere and the ‘help yourself’ drinks and snacks. No one bothered me, always plenty sunloungers and I just tanned and read my kindle alternating between cava and sparkling water! The staff by the pool were very helpful and always happy to move the parasols at various points in the day. The location is fab - I wanted to be close to restaurants and bars so this was ideal. Things which could have been better - lifts are TINY so beware, if like me, you are slightly claustrophobic. The bedroom I got was hugely disappointing for an upgraded room - throughly in need of a decorative refresh (although very clean) and had a poor side sea view (I looked out on to the conference centre). The hotel is very noisy at night (guests in hallway, guests upstairs and paper thin walls with lots of doors banging etc). I expected some sort of welcome gesture in the room given it was a Level room but all I got were two cartons of water for the whole stay. Snack choices very limited on the Level but that didn’t bother me and I enjoyed my crisps and cava. I did order a club sandwich on the Level one evening and it was one of the worst things I’ve eaten - I left most of it and despite the staff wanting to know what was wrong with it so they could tell the kitchen, I still got charged full price for it. Check out was very efficient although no one asked if I enjoyed the stay etc. If I wanted a short solo break again to get some sun and recharge, I’d come back but make sure I got a better room.

We stayed at the hotel for the first weekend in July, as overnight trip from our holiday home in Andalusia. We had an enjoyable trip overall but the hotel was a little disappointing at times. Check in was chaos! The queues were so long and it was an awful start to our stay. The room was adequate but the furniture felt somewhat dated. We booked a sea view room but the room we were given is a side sea view. This was misleading and disappointing. The hotel itself is well appointed, nicely decorated and clean throughout, except for the stairwells up to the rooms. They clearly hadn’t been refurbished and were very dated and very dirty. We enjoyed the rooftop area immensely. It has some great views and the food/drinks were wonderful. We were very disappointed with our treatment at the beach club and I would strongly recommend the manager reviews their policies. We had pre reserved three sunbeds and wanted to eat lunch. We counted 13 empty tables in the beach club restaurant but were told that we could not sit there as they were all “reserved.” I explained we were guests of the hotel and had sunbed reservations so expect to be able to have lunch. This was met with challenge. We spoke with the manager who allocated us a table “for an hour.” We stayed for an hour and when we left 11 of the 13 tables were still available! We were going to have a three course lunch but opted for one course as we were so rushed. This was a very disappointing way to be treated. All in all the hotel looks beautiful and has some great facilities, however on this occasion service didn’t meet the standard expected. We are likely to return as the hotel is in a great location, so hopefully next time things will be better.
