After looking for a cheap long weekend away for some well needed sun we picked Torremolinos and in particular the Zen Hotel due to its price. After the booking we looked at the reviews and saw some negativity but from the moment we arrived at the hotel we were greeted with friendly and pleasant staff and environment. The hotel was really nice, great seating areas indoors, outdoors, pool and our room had a balcony. Really could not fault anything, the beers were the best we had during our stay and the hotel even runs a shuttle bus to the seafront, train station and hotel, they have a timetable for this which is completely understandable. Would highly recommend this hotel for its value for money, if you don’t mind walking it’s a short walk to the train station, seafront, and town this is a great location.

Very impressed. Immaculate hotel with friendly staff. Good location and timed transport to town and airport. Lovely pool and rooms modern bright and really clean. Lovely setting with just a five minute walk downhill to the train giving direct access to Malaga 15mins airport 5mins. Food is available… more

Fridges in room A/C etc. Great place to stay for a Malaga visit. Would return.

“So much potential ! We loved it!”
WOW !! So much potential on this little hidden gem. I get some of the bad reviews but on the other hand.. it’s a cheap, very central, free transfers, nice staff, clean, 3 star hotel. We loved our stay! The restaurant is to die for, homemade food and reminded us of home. 😭 Will come back with … more

We only stayed one night, as we were returning to Spain to take our flight next morning. We booked on Expedia. We only stayed one night, as we were returning to Spain to take our flight next morning. We booked on Expedia. We called the hotel once we arrived and they sent us a shuttle to pick us up from airport. Checking in was uneventful. Shuttle for next morning back to airport was full, they went out of their way to arrange shuttle for us for 0440am which we appreciated immensely. The place itself is being repaired and repainted. The room is ok for 1 night, the double bed was comfortable but we did not like that they only have one long pillow to share. I wished they would have had more. The room was clean but very small. We had dinner at the hotel and our meal was delicious. Everyone ( staff) was very friendly and serviable. The atmosphere is Zen, it reminded me of Thailand…there is a pool but we did not use it. There is also parking but you have to pay for it. They serve breakfast for $15 euros. For 1 night , it was fine!
