Just back from one of the best holidays. Staff were so friendly throughout the whole stay. Easy check in. Booked a superior room and it was a very spacious room in the main building - 2 singles and one double bed. Room is basic but has everything you need. Air con was amazing in our room. Food was good. Always found something to eat. The tex mex themed night was lovely. The swimming pools were lovely. Not over crowded at all. I was worried about the sun bed situation but we always found a chair or bed to leave our towels while we were in the pool. A couple of mornings I joined the queue for sunbeds at 8.15am. The pool area opens at around 8.30/8.45am. Was able to then leave towels on sunbeds and they were ours for the day. No issue getting sunbeds if you go down around that time. Entertainment staff are the best I have ever seen. They genuinely seem to love their job and are always smiling and chatting to the guests and kids. There are so many activities during the day. The mini disco and entertainment afterwards was great. Always suitable for families. I met so many families that had been to the hotel a few times and I can see why. I will definitely be returning with my family.

Just got back from a weeks stay at the Puente Real. We made our booking through EasyJet and everything on their part was brilliant. We arrived at the hotel at approximately 22:15 and on arrival there was an issue within the hotel with the fire alarms. This obviously couldn’t be helped but it meant check in took a long time and we missed the chance to get a drink before 23:00 when all inclusive closed. We were given room 2705 which was a lovely room with gorgeous views of the beach, well worth paying a bit extra for the view! Rooms were cleaned everyday and our room was always spotless. There were some lovely complimentary items including two bottles of water and a bottle of wine on arrival. There are 4 lifts within the hotel b it they’re all very small and can’t seem to cope with more than 4 guests, even with 4 guests inside the lift still wouldn’t move. The lifts are often slow and we found if we were on the bottom floor we would sometimes wait quite a while for a lift to arrive and then 4 would all arrive at once. On our first day the pool was shut for a lot of the day due to a child using the pool as a toilet. This then again happened on our last day meaning the pool was shut twice in our weeks stay. Both situations appeared to be dealt with well by the maintenance team but it was frustrating. Thankfully the beach is so close. Sunbeds are a bit of an issue, there’s not really enough space around the pool to fit in all the loungers for the amount go guests that wanted one. If you want a sunbed you do have to join everybody else in the queue at around 08:15 to reserve yours. There are signs saying that towels will be removed if a sunbed isn’t used for an hour but we didn’t see this happen and lots of sunbeds were left unattended but reserved for a lot of the day. When we did get a sunbed it was sometimes hard to relax if near to the edge of the pool. There were a lot of guests at the hotel who enjoyed ball games in the pool (no issue for us) but when the same guests were repeatedly and seemingly deliberately hitting guests trying to relax at the edge of the pool with their ball it becomes frustrating. The entertainment during the day was great. The team work so hard and there was always something to do. The entertainment at night was hit and miss, some nights better than others. Again seating for evening entertainment is a bit of an issue, lots of people stood trying to watch due to no tables left infront of the stage. There were always tables in the pool bar but if you want to be able to watch the entertainment we’d recommend finding a table sooner rather than later after dinner. Drinks were good in our opinion. We found there to be lots of variety. Bar staff work so hard although sometimes the queues can be long which seemed to cause the staff a lot of stress. The token cup system also seemed to work well in our opinion. Food was ok. Everything we ate was well cooked and we enjoyed the Mexican night in the restaurant. Could’ve benefitted from slightly more variety but we were given a questionnaire one night to complete so I assume staff are quickly trying to improve the food situation as I know lots of others were complaining. Snack bar was really good, again staff work so hard! We loved the location of the hotel. It’s a bit further out from other hotels but there’s still plenty of shops and other bars around. We enjoyed a walk to Benalmádena which took about an hour? We got a taxi back which was about €12. We also got a train from the local train station to Fuengirola which was a lovely morning out. Was also great to be only 10 minutes from the airport. We enjoyed watching a lot of the planes landing and taking off from our balcony. The location really sold the hotel for us and would be the main reason we’d return if we came back to the area again.

Food good and decent choice but not what is described on the place cards. All inclusive finishes at 11pm so have to pay for drinks after that. Have to pay for drinks at disco. Photographer salesman will try and rip you off. Entertainment staff good. Wouldn’t go again. Location - a bit too far from the “fun” but ok if Goode looking for the more quiet side of Torremolinos.
