On 23 January 2020, the new Balearic Law against Tourism Excesses entered into force, which prohibits all-inclusive deals with unlimited alcoholic beverages. Only a maximum of three alcoholic beverages per guest will be served during lunch and/or dinner.
We would also like to inform you of the following restrictions included in the law:
Practices which may endanger the life, health and physical integrity of guests are strictly prohibited at hotels, apartments and holiday properties. These practices include climbing from one balcony or window to another and jumping from inappropriate places such as balconies into swimming pools (a practice widely known as ';balconing';). Guests breaking the law will be immediately banished from the property and may be fined, states the law and the corresponding municipal regulations. The hotel/apartment manager or property agent must order said guests to leave immediately, which may require assistance from the security forces.
Failure to comply with the prohibition of practices which may endanger the life, health and physical integrity of guests will be considered a serious offence. In the Balearic Islands, serious offences are subject to a fine between 6,001 and 60,000 euros.

Great location on the Plaza de España. We were able to see all sorts of festivals, concerts, and 3 Kings activities from the rooftop pool area, which has fabulous views of the plaza and of the sea. The rooms were comfortable, the breakfast was good, and the location was perfect. If you have a car, the hotel can be hard to find since you cannot drive up to the front. It does provide underground parking.

“Friendliest hotel in Nerja”
Have stayed at the Mena Plaza hotel several times. I've also stayed at 6 other hotels in Nerja, this hotel takes pride of place. The location is superb and the staff are extremely friendly. Have stayed at the Mena Plaza hotel several times. I've also stayed at 6 other hotels in Nerja, this hotel takes pride of place. The location is superb and the staff are extremely friendly. Cleanliness seems to be a priority which is a bonus. As to the staff they are very welcoming. I'd like to mention Mata on reception and Phillipe in the cafeteria they go the extra mile to ensure that you are well catered for. Angelo and Elena on reception and Sofinan in the cafeteria are also helpful. This hotel never fails to meet our needs, fully recommend.

I recently stayed at Mena Plaza Nerja and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is very nice and offers excellent value for money. Its location is perfect, being very central and making it easy to explore Nerja. The rooms are spacious and well-maintained. One of the highlights is the small pool on the roof, complete with a hot tub – a great spot to relax and enjoy the views. The staff are very friendly and attentive, making the stay even more pleasant. I would highly recommend Mena Plaza Nerja if you are traveling as a couple. However, it might not be the best choice for families, but for couples, it's ideal. I would definitely stay here again on a future visit.
