It's a shame some people try to take food out of the restaurant area there really Is no need breakfast is 8am to 10am plenty of time to have a good breakfast and as much hot and cold drinks . I really dislike people making sandwiches and then hiding them in there bags . Anyway great hotel lovely welcoming staff thankyou for a great base for our holiday

We stayed in one of the newly renovated ocean view rooms. The room was lovely but there is a lack of storage and hanging space, so we did find ourselves living out of our suitcases. And the small amount of storage there was is very “open plan” so it did feel cluttered which was a shame in an otherwise lovely room. All the staff we encountered were helpful and friendly. There was work going on at the hotel but we were out most of the days so didn’t find it intrusive. Breakfast was okay, with a good variety of options available. The pool area was nice, obviously a bit cold in February but we did get in for a couple of swims! We only had one meal in the cafe, which was perfectly fine. The location is amazing for catching the afternoon sun and the view of the sunset from the bar, and our balcony was a real bonus!

Firstly I would like to say that we have had many great holidays st Pearla Marina. If you have booked a holiday and then got worried and started reading reviews like I do, then rest assured- it’s fine. You and your loved ones (and not so loved ones as appropriate) will have a good time. The place looks great after the redevelopment. The New Year’s Eve Gala dinner (free to all staying) was excellent. Breakfast plentiful, bar well stocked if a bit ouchy on price. But… There were a couple of problems that left a sour taste in the mouth for me. We have often upgraded our room when we got there. We did so again this year, but the “Junior Suite” was far from being what a Junior Suite used to be before the re-organisation. Last year it was two distinct rooms with doors. This year it was small in comparison with only a lattice like wooden construction between the two halves. The space felt cramped. There wasn’t enough room to stand with both legs next to each other between the bed and the divider (see pic). Then, on the penultimate day, some workpersons came to do something on the flat roof next to our room. They were standing right outside the bathroom window. This window had no curtains or blind. It was intrusive and made showering or using the toilet impossible. I went to complain and the receptionist apologised profusely and said they shouldn’t be there and he would sort it out. Nothing changed. The next day they were there again, so we went to complain again. A new receptionist told us it was fine. That window you could see out of, but it had a film on it that meant that you couldn’t see in. I was dubious about this, but she said that a workperson had taken a photo and shown it to her. I was still doubtful, so I snuck round and took my own photo. As you can see this fairy story about a magical window was a pile of bunkem. The view of us excreting was free for all to see. Now, it was bad enough that all of this took place on the Friday and Saturday. We were leaving on the Sunday… and the whole place shut down for a month in any case. Being outright lied to about it all felt like being let down by an old friend. I don’t know if I want to go back and that is sad because I would have recommended this hotel to anyone
