My wife and I enjoyed a lovely 6 day break in El Fuerte. We were blessed with good weather and the staff at this hotel made our short stay a total delight, all very friendly and happy to assist you in this beautifully designed hotel, spotlessly clean rooms and the breakfast selection of delicious food that we ate on the terrace to enjoy the sunshine and sea views Marbella is a fun place to stay with bars and restaurants all around the hotel area so plenty to see and do , even for November Regards to all at Hotel El Fuerte

“Vastly overpriced but managed to relax”

Just stayed at the El Fuerte for 10 nights . The hotel is between3-4 star overall as we stay in many at the same price . The very expensive standard room without the balcony was tight. The staff know this and push upgrades which are so much better which left a bitter taste . There is no entertainm… more

Just stayed at the El Fuerte for 10 nights . The hotel is between3-4 star overall as we stay in many at the same price . The very expensive standard room without the balcony was tight. The staff know this and push upgrades which are so much better which left a bitter taste . There is no entertainment at all . Breakfast organisation was poor at times although most of the staff were friendly. There’s only the Levante which we tried after a week which was good . Most of the restaurants on the front are terrible so we found genuine Tapas places try guerres. I don’t like theQR ordering system to get a drink at the pool very impersonal call me old fashioned.

There are 5 star elements to this hotel, but there are other elements that barely warrant 3 stars, the reception staff are excellent, Roberto in particular was very helpful, the breakfast staff are very good, the food in general is quite good, but SOME of the staff in the Levante restaurant need a lot more training. I would have thought that every good bartender in the world knows how to make liquor coffees, I asked for a Calypso coffee, I explained to the waiter, it's the same as an Irish Coffee, only use Tia Maria instead of whiskey, firstly an Americano coffee with a shot of Tia Maria in it came out, sent it back for it to be replaced with a Latte with a shot of Tia Maria in it !, I gave up at this stage and cancelled it. Even though it wasn't busy in the Levante, everything took ages to be served, from drinks to wine lists etc. The indoor spa/pool/steam room/sauna is only allowed for one hour during a 7 day stay as part of your package, it was quite cool in there and we had to ask for the sauna to be turned up as it was almost cold, ok, minor things in general, BUT for 5 star prices in a 5 star hotel, it's these minor touches that you expect to be spot on. In general, a lovely hotel, in a great location, but it needs to brush up on a few things.
