Very nice apartment with everything you need.Stayed here one week in september,good breakfast,hotel is close to everything you need:beach,restaurants,and the old city of Marbella.Hotel staff are very helpful with everything. We hope to come back anothertime. Finn Asbjørn Svarød.

The apartment was a little tired and in need of TLC but was great overall. Air con had a mind of its own and very rarely worked when you wanted it to. Spoke to a cleaner and she told us the aircon was useless. Bar service was great and staff very friendly and helpful. Outdoor pool not big or deep enough. Trees around pool area needed cutting down and back as it was too shaded. Stream below smelt quite bad on very hot days

This is a lovely old hotel in a fairly quiet location surrounded by apartment blocks and only a couple of hundred meters from the seafront. The interior, although old, looks really beautiful and the apartments have good facilities including dishwasher and washing machine. However, the hotel, in my opinion, doesn’t make the best use of what it has. The brochures state it has two bars, which it has, but only one is used which is located in the middle of the restaurant and with only a couple of large sofas and armchairs gives the place little ambience. I have to agree with other reviewers the one of the biggest let downs is the reception, particularly one of the male receptionists/ manager who seemed to treat guests like an inconvenience, there was certainly no smiles or cheery welcome, no explanation of the hotels facilities. Just a request for passports, sign here and here. The room keys were plonked on the counter and that was it. He was most certainly a graduate of the Basil Faulty school of hotel management. The decor of the is restaurant is also very nice as are the staff but we only had one meal in it and both our meals were cold and had to be returned for reheating. Sadly, on our final morning in the hotel we had a 8 am pick up and discovered there was no water in the room which turned out to be the case throughout the hotel. We had an apology, but we had to leave without being able to freshen up. The pool and pool area is very pleasant and there is no problem with availability of beds with most residents respecting the No reserving policy. As my title suggests, it could be so much better with a little effort on the part of management.

Arrived late on a Friday night due to a flight delay. We dropped our bags and went out to try and get food and drink and also some water for our room. We could not find a shop or restaurant that was still open so after a wander around we went back to the hotel to try and get their help on where we could potentially go. We were hoping that we would be offered some water from the closed bar which we would have happily paid for but instead we were shown a map and told there "may" be a chinese shop open and were given directions. We were 3 girls and it was 12.45am but we desperately needed water in our room so we went out again to try and find the chinese shop which when we got there was closed. We went down a few more streets and did find a kebab shop that was open and thankfully they had some water for sale in their fridge so we grabbed some and went back to the hotel, getting back at 1.30am. I was absolutely amazed that we were not offered water by the hotel due to the time, after returning from Greece not long before and showed the best hospitality that exists this was a true shock for me. It was not a situation that could be helped by us, we were meant to be there a lot earlier, we should have been helped, there must be bottles of water in the hotel. We were only there for a 3 night break but the girls I was with liked a cup of tea/coffee in the morning and after the first morning had run out of tea bags so went to ask at reception to be told that we had received our welcome pack and they were not replenished. Just found the whole welcome from reception very unfriendly and unwelcoming. The hotel itself is nice and the location is very good. The pool is shallow but was fine for us. Our room was nice and big and we had a lovely large balcony. Due to the customer service and letting us walk the streets looking for shops at 1am I would not stay here again.
