We visited last week with family so had 2 rooms between us,both with children, our room was spacious and very clean but only had 1 plug socket which the TV was plugged into which I felt was very strange. The biggest problem for us was our room overlooked the bars so we had no sleep at all as the noise was all night long until 7am! Why put families in those rooms?! I went to reception only to be told there was no rooms available to move us which I heard them say to several other families having the same problem. They seemed to use the sea view as a way to make you think you had the best rooms in the hotel. Sorry but I would rather sleep. I get they can’t control the noise outside but my little boy was a little concerned by the constant screaming and arguing heard from the street below all night! It was also very dirty around the hotel and the pool area is in desperate need of renovation, the sunbeds are awful so hard and flat and the flooring is stained and smells. We went to the beach instead which is close and really nice. The staff were very pleasant and the food was ok but not very hot. Overall the hotel is just okay but if you want to sleep I would avoid this hotel and stay further up past McDonalds as it seemed quieter and cleaner up there.

“It's OK ”

Let's be fair, this is a dated hotel but is an iconic building in Fuengirola! The room was large and rhe balcony big but overlooking a car park and building site However, it's chesp and cheerful, the breakfast is ample, it has aircon and it's in a prime location

Las palmeras is in very centre of fuengirola I've stayed here before it's a good hotel but needs some upgrading very badly, it's becoming a bit dated the food is good and offers good value and choice it fails on its poolside 62 sun chairs 100's shy

Nice hotel but unfortunately very impersonal as it is so big and lots of guests. Room key continuously not working as you would leave and come back which would be fine if there weren’t times when you need the toilet and have already waited for the convoluted elevator system to get to your floor, you then have to do the whole way back to reception to get your key working.. slightly comical but also soul destroying covered in sand coming from the beach with all your bags to see the little red light constantly flash and know you have to travel back down to reception. The food at breakfast is warmish from the get go in the morning and no chefs around to cook a fresh egg! All the staff are on a mission to clear the tables constantly to seat more guests as they come but what’s the point when it’s the same food that’s been out since half 7 if your getting to breakfast at half 9. Lots of cold continental options and cereal. Best thing about the breakfast is the coffee and the view of the harbour from their balcony. The fridge in the room was barely cold and honestly every time I walked past reception that wasn’t on my mind and walking back down as I got to my room the furthest point away on floor 3 I could not even be bothered to go back down and complain. Not one plug socket beside the beds??? Ended up unplugging the tv to charge my phone at night which is something that I have never experienced in a hotel. The room was big and a nice balcony, bed was comfortable with standard air conditioning.
