“Great Family Holiday”

We had a great family holiday here and found the food was spot on, especially chef Maxi who went above and beyond for us during our trip. Would highly recommend for holiday with children. We visited late June/early July, pools are great, rooms are clean.

Second visit to this holiday village and for a family hotel I couldn’t reccomend it anymore. 12 of us visited and loved every minute, wish we had stayed longer. Staff are absolutely amazing and so entertaining. Clean spacious rooms, nice food, always something to do.

Just returned from 10 nights at HV Costa with 3 kids. To be honest we were a bit apprehensive about coming due to the negative reviews however we had a lovely holiday. Rooms - as previously mentioned the rooms are a bit dated however very spacious and ideal for families. Bathroom had a shower cubicle and also a bath with a shower. Rooms were cleaned daily and fresh towels provided. Food - this seems to be a big talking point about the hotel however we didn't feel that the food was bad at all. Yes there were times when we didn't like much that was on offer however there were other nights when we liked a lot of it which is no different to any other all inclusive. Again yes it can be repetitive but we have found this at many different all inclusive resorts. Our favourite night was the Mexican night and the kids loved the chocolate fountain. We did eat in the snack bar at lunch a few times as the kids preferred to go in for something quick and get back to the pool but we preferred the restaurant for lunch. We ate at both the burger restaurant and the Italian and the food was lovely in both however the service in the burger restaurant was slow and a few of us were sitting with no drinks for a bit. Cocktails - the cocktails are pre made in jugs however just ask for an extra shot of alcohol and they are fine! Beach club - we only ventured over to the beach club once however it wasn't for us and we spent our time at the main pool. Pool area - we didn't have any trouble getting sunbeds in the morning and the sun loungers were comfortable. The pool area has artificial grass which does get hot during the day. The entertainment team work so hard everyday and are really good fun for both the kids and adults. Entertainment - we didn't go to the main stage at night however we did sit at the outdoor area just outside the piano bar which was had a nice relaxed feel. All in all we had a great holiday and the kids loved it.

Stayed for 11 nights at the end of June/start of July. Having stayed at the HV Paphos, Kos & Majorca, we expected similar standards to these. Unfortunately, this was not the case. The hotel is dated and could definitely do with some TLC. The rooms were very good size with massive bathroom. Our shower leaked so we needed to have towels around the shower tray, did mention this to reception, but nothing was done. Our toilet broke twice, first time the maintenance staff came and fixed, but only lasted 24hrs so I just fixed it myself second time. You need to be down at the pool for 10am as people queue up, which we expected and is normal. Pool is a good size with a small kids pool next to it. There's an indoor pool, but you need to buy a cap to use this, never seen this before, but probably wouldn't have used indoor pool anyway. Gym is small, but decents weights/cable machines etc. The 2 treadmills had mind of their own and would randomly stop working. The food was dreadful, breakfast was ok, but lunch and dinner was like playing Russian roulette, we were going down not excited to be going for dinner, but to be hoping there was something edible with flavour. There's not much variety, for instance there was chicken curry 2 lunches and 1 dinner in a row. Every meal there was at least 1 dish which was cold. On 3 occasions the vegetarian corner had no labels to say what each dish was, when asking staff we were just told they're vegetables. Thankfully, none of us were vegetarians! The desserts change throughout the meal as well, it seems to just depend what they've got available so if you see something you'd like I'd suggest platting it up and putting on your table as no guarantee they'll bring more of that dish out. The beach club was good, but rip off that you have to pay for the rings for the slides, there's 2 slides, one is for both single and double inflatables, the other is only for single rings. Single rings are 20€ and you get 10€ back when you return it. The double is 30€ and you get 17€ back when you return it. You can only rent 1 day at a time so not like you can get one at start of holiday and return at the end so your only charged once. The 2 flumes are pretty small as well. There were quite a few school trips at the beach club on the days we went over. The food is fresher there, but not as much choice. Food only available 12:30pm - 3pm, but you can buy snacks etc over there. Drinks were your standard all inclusive. Would recommend jumping on the bus to Benalmadena & Fuengirola, really nice resorts with good restaurants, we had planned to eat out once or twice but ate out a few times due to standard of food at hotel.
