Nestled between the Andalucian mountains and the sea . Looking out on the golf course, unfortunately there’s a motorway in view too but it doesn’t take away from the spectacular view . Greeted by really , helpful and friendly staff . The apartment was very spacious and clean . An easy going and ambient atmosphere around the site . We came out of season nod not much going on but a 1O euro taxi ride into town . Guaranteed parking is 15 euros a day in a garage underneath .

“Good for golf but only if you are not cooking”

Standard apartment with large balcony near to golf courses but far from beaches and you can't really walk anywhere (so need a car). Not really set-up for cooking so get ready to eat out.

Returned to Valle Romano Golf & Resort for the third time expecting to enjoy some late summer sun and good accommodation/facilities and swimming in the pool as rehab following injury. We booked a 1 bed penthouse apartment and managed to get moved immediately to our preferred side to give afternoon/evening sun (facing Gibraltar). What was hugely disappointing is that all 3 pools were closed due to a (so called) local drought decree which only affected this hotel! We complained that it was unclear on the hotel's website that the pools would be closed and we spent the first two days investigating alternative accommodation and seeking a no penalty cancellation. Despite finding something suitable to book at short notice the hotel were unwilling to offer a goodwill gesture to allow us to cancel without penalty. Grudgingly stayed for the full 12 days, don't think we will be returning.

“Disappointing Stay.”

The Apt. we were allocated was on the roadside of the resort with passing traffic starting from the early hours, making sleep nigh on impossible. We were in " brown block," which was a long trek away from the restaurant. The guests above us dragged furniture from early morning and again had very heavy noisy steps. I paid for half board, but found the restaurant to be noisy and overcrowded again, with high noise levels from guests dragging chairs. Some of the chairs had plastic caps on the legs to prevent this noise , and I would recommend all chair legs fitted with the same. The tables were laid too close together, so people were constantly pushing past. I only used the restaurant once, and so I wish I had not opted and paid for the 2 days half board of our stay. The drinking glasses were not clean. I had to pick up 4 before I found a clean one. Perhaps the dishwasher needs salt and rinse aid. The same goes with the cups again. I picked up 3 before finding one that wasn't chipped or stained.
