OK, some of the reviews ALMOST put us (couple, 40's) off, BUT this sparkling clean, perfectly located hotel is FAB! Lovely staff, so helpful. Big spotless rooms, daily fresh linen and towels, big TV, bath & shower, bathrobes and slippers were a lovely touch too. Right on the beach for amazing suns… more

OK, some of the reviews ALMOST put us (couple, 40's) off, BUT this sparkling clean, perfectly located hotel is FAB! Lovely staff, so helpful. Big spotless rooms, daily fresh linen and towels, big TV, bath & shower, bathrobes and slippers were a lovely touch too. Right on the beach for amazing sunsets/sunrises. The private balcony was a lovely peaceful suntrap, and the views are beautiful. Breakfast was hearty and varied and ran between 7.30am and a very civilised 10.30am. A one minute walk into La Cala's main street. Very happy with this hotel. Thanks to all the lovely staff.

The hotel room was nice, clean and spacious with a lovely view of the sea. We arrived before check in time but were given our room early which was appreciated after a long night of traveling with 2 children. The man who checked us in was very nice as was other staff and the woman who worked in the pool bar was so friendly. The man who worked in the first floor bar was very rude. The food in the restaurant was disgusting. It was always cold, luke warm at best and we ended up eating out more often than not. We paid for all inclusive and where in other hotels we have stayed at had snacks available throughout the day, this was not available here and any snacks outside of the allocated dining times we had to pay for. The alcohol for all inclusive was also VERY watered down and limited. I would stay here again but would definitely not waste my money to go all inclusive again

“A nice hotel in a great spot but food terrible”

We stayed here for 8 days AI. When we arrived the reception was lovely and the guy who checked us in was very friendly. We stayed here for 8 days AI. When we arrived the reception was lovely and the guy who checked us in was very friendly. We were on the third floor room 316 which was nice enough although some of the furniture was in need of updating. The beds were low and not very comfortable, pillows were flat. The room was a good size and the balcony was great with great views of the pool bar and beach. The bathroom was ok although you had to climb into the bath to use the shower. Towels were very threat bare and needed replaced but they were clean and we had maid service and clean towels every day. The hallway needs attention as it was dark and the carpet was tatty. The lifts were fine and there are 3 of them so you didn't have to wait long. Now we come to the food breakfast wasn't too bad with the usual selection although most mornings the hot food was cold but we could had toast. Lunch again had a good selection but we couldn't eat most of it again as it was cold even the meat and fish that they cook fresh was cold as it sat under the lights the evening meal was the same. We were very cautious and ate very little. We noticed a lot of the food that was left would be served up at the next meal but in a different way. We did complain about the food being cold and was told that the counter where the food was served had not been working for a while, the chef came out and started to prob the food which was the first and last time this was done. A maintenance guy was called and had a check but nothing was fixed. I asked one of the waiters would he eat the food here and he said no and laughed. We ate out or just had salad and deserts.

I'm here now. Got here yesterday. The bus transfer pulled up at the top of the street and pointed to where we walk down. Upon arrival into the lobby it was apparent it’s dated and needs work. 1960’s wicker chairs with the large fan backs on each of the 4 pillars. We couldn’t check in till 2 so had a couple of hours to wait. We got our bands though and just had to wait for the key to the room, we put luggage in left luggage and went to eat at the restaurant. We found the restaurant to be clean with lovely staff. The choice was lovely. Fresh salads then hot choices of meat and fish. A grill with meat and chips. A desert section with cakes and pastries and tubs of ice cream and yogurt. Something for everyone. They came to the table asking what we wanted to drink and brought it to us. The down fall here is it’s all plastic tables and chairs. The sort that’s found in your garden as home. Set out very basically with a knife and fork tucked into a serviette. We then were able to collect our room key. I had paid the extra for a room with a view and it didn’t disappoint. We saw the beautiful beach and a few private homes. A beautiful landscape. The room its self is very tired. Stick on tiles on the floor making it look like wooden flooring. The bathroom is past its best with a 70’s style tiles and floor. There is a water waste plug type drain in the middle of the room, no where near the water source so I’m unsure what that’s about. The bathroom was very clean and sanitation stickers on the glasses and toilet. The balcony has a very loose glass on it which scares me to I won’t go near it. Again another thing needing attention. The plus points are a decent size fridge, tea and coffee, tv showing a few uk Chanel’s as well as Spanish and French. Air con in the room also just can’t figure out how to work it! My husband and I feel we are about 20yrs too young for this hotel and we are one of the youngest in our 50s. When walking the corridor lights come on as you walk down which is good as it’s very dark. The same stick on tiles are on the edge with a very dated strip of carpet along the corridor. This is coming away from its metal strips on the edge, it’s extremely thread bare and isn’t attached in some places that I’m sure that would soon become,a trip hazard. There is no entertainment in the hotel other than a singer on Friday night and a flemenco dancer on Saturday night. The pool was closed yesterday (day 4 for us) and as such the pool bar is also closed. Again a disappointment as at least that had some music playing. The staff are all friendly and greet you with a smile and are all approachable. The area is fully residential with only a handful of hotels spread around. There’s bars and restaurant aplenty in the area with a Aldi and Lidl within walking distance. The small market on a weds and Saturday is nice to walk around. Unless you want a feel of laid back Spain without the hustle and bustle of tourists, peddler’s selling you trips ect then this is the place for you. If you want daytime entertainment or evening then you will be massively disappointed. My husband and I have been looking at early flights back.
