“Enjoyable stay”

We stayed here for 10 nights and must say that we enjoyed the stay. It's an Aparthotel so there are differences to staying at a regular hotel which, hopefully, this review will explain. We checked in at 2.30pm and luckily our room was ready, so no need to wait. We were given an option to upgrade for 65 euros but we were happy as it was. There is also the 200 euros deposit to pay, we already knew about this, and paid by cash. We got this back after the receptionist at checkout saw the room and was happy with it. We also paid 41 euros for safe hire, with 10 euros returned on checkout. The picture shows charges for certain things. We were impressed with the room layout as the bathroom, bedroom and kitchen were all in seperate areas from the living room and not open plan as many hotels do. The beds were hard but didn't bother us as we slept well, and the rooms were a little dated but very clean on arrival. You're responsible for your own cleaning, and are given a box with cleaning implements (eg washing-up liquid) which helped. The kitchen has it's own dishwasher and washing maching, microwave and fridge freezer so it had a homely feeling. The towels and toilet rools were changed every 4 days and the beds tidied. On the last day, you need to make sure the rooms (especially kitchen) were clean and rubbish taken out to get your money back. The hotel suited us in that there's no entertainment, there is a well stocked shop next to the entrance and a cafe next to that (not the hotel's responsibility and was only opened 2 days). The nearest restaurants are only a 2 minute walk, turn right and there's a good selection leading to the beach of different tastes. The marina is a 20-25 minute walk, but 7-8 euros by taxi. Torremolinos was 9-10 euros and Fuengirola around 20-25 euros if you wanted to venture further. There's plenty to do in the 3 resorts so you won't get bored. Overall, if you can manage the domestication of your room it's a good place to stay with friendly staff.

“OK as a Base”

Recent five night stay and found rooms to be decent with the exception of the Bathroom which was grim with black mould all over the shower head and screen. The kitchen area is excellent with a convenient fold up bed in the living area which our Daughter slept on. The beds have a rock hard mattress which was great for me as my preference. As others have said there is a 200 Euro deposit. We paid on our credit card and we received back a couple of days after returning - in fact the charge just held as pending. The check in is also 5pm unless you pay for an 'upgrade' of 65 Euros. We chose not to and went for a wander in the resort. We got a call from the Reception Area at 3pm to say our room was ready. Location is at the far end of the resort and about 25 minute walk to the Marina but its a lovely walk on the Promenade. There is a large Mercadona Supermarket 5 mins a way and bars and restaurants. We particularly enjoyed Coco's and Ha'Penny Bridge for drinks and had 2 fantastic meals in Harrys Indian Restaurant. While there the weather wasn't too good but still had a great time which included a day in Malaga and a visit to Benalmadena Pueblo. This was our first time in resort and will return but probably not to this Hotel.

“Good, Steep Deposit and Solid Beds”

This is a nice place to stay with good size apartments. It is all self catering which didn't bother us as there was a supermarket downstairs opened from 8am to 2am everyday. However I only found out about the deposit by reading the reviews as it's not advertised at all that your expected to pay a £200 deposit upon arrival. For what your room is I think this is very a steep deposit. You MUST remove all rubbish etc or you won't get your deposit back, we literally scrubbed the apartment before leaving and ensured it was completely empty. The beds are rock solid, as someone who suffers from chronic back pain and sciatica it was the worst sleep ever. I have no idea why there is reviews saying the beds aren't that bad, I was up most mornings about 4am due to the pain and so was my other family members. However regardless it was really nice and I'd consider going back if the beds were better and the deposit wasn't so steep. Which is why I haven't booked to return there next year. Sad as staff were pleasant and helpful and it is a nice hotel. Rooms do have a washing machine and ironing board etc. Also fab views.
