My husband and I stayed at this hotel with my son, daughter-in-law and grandson last week (the first week of July). This was the first time I was travelling as a disabled person and didn’t know what to expect or ask for or even search for when deciding on a holiday. The main points of my review are based on this, with some other general observations. Disabled access to the promenade in front of the hotel next to the sea is non-existent. There is a couple of gates, after a few steps, that can be opened with a key card but nowhere for a wheelchair/mobility scooter to exit. There is vehicle access via a padlocked gate and I have suggested to the hotel that this possibly be made into a key card entry gate which would make accessibility easier for disabled people. Mobility scooters cannot go in the lift which means that if you have very limited mobility gaining access to the pool area would be difficult. If you want to travel, via mobility scooter/ wheelchair, into the main town area, when exiting the hotel turn left, go up the hill then turn right at the top which takes you onto the main street going into Benalmedena. I would like to say that pathways are not particularly wheelchair or scooter friendly! A disabled taxi was approximately €10 from the hotel to Puerto Marina. Pool towels are available with a deposit of €10 each. At the end of the holiday the hotel started charging €1 per towel if you wanted them changed. Sunbeds cannot be reserved!! The pools areas are locked until 9am! Rooms are a little outdated but have all you need— hair dryer, kettle etc. The fridge did not get cold and the air-con wasn’t cool!! Quite a good selection of food for those people who chose to take advantage of all inclusive. However we did eat out a few times as the selection didn’t suit our tastes. Breakfast was definitely the better meal of the day. All in all worth the money; just a little disappointing due to my mobility issues.

“Good hotel made a perfect holiday”

So our recent visit was near perfect. The hotel is lovely the rooms are spotless and have perfect views. The staff are lovely and really friendly. The all inclusive food is very good. They d a different theme every night but still have the standard pizza, pasta, nuggets and chips. Which was ideal for us because we are not big seafood eaters. Ive read other reviews that complain about the pigeons around the pool area, when we went yes there are birds around you cant help nature but there is a cleaner constantly walking around all pool areas. I dont see what more they can do to combat this so no complaint from me here. Another review said the areas around the pool are slippery, yes they are this is common in spain we’ve been to other places with this kind of floor. Not much they can do just be careful. There are wet floor caution signs around. My only complaints, When we arrived (which was late about 8:30pm) I could smell the toilets as soon as I walked in. Surprisingly after using them my wife discovered it was coming from the women’s toilet in the bar area. She often complained of human waste on the floor. The toilets at the pool are shared men and women’s these are cleaned frequently throughout the day but unfortunately between the cleaning, customers disrespect the toilets and they become filthy quickly. Another review suggests you cant take food away from the pool bar, I think this is a bit of a miscommunication, there are paper plates to be used by the pool and china plates to be used in the bar itself as far as I was aware. Another review says food was cold I disagree. They was always topping up the food fresh and was working hard on it. The entertainment, now this was a huge let down for us personally. It was mainly aimed at the french guests which is fine but i mean they avoided the english like the plague. They would interact with a kid next to my daughter then completely ignore my daughter. There are clear signs around the pool area saying reserving sun-beds are forbidden however people get away with it me my wife and daughter sat and watched sun beds, that we could have been using, which were vacant for at least 3 hours with towels on them whilst we had to share one between the three of us. I could see people queuing for the pool 2 hours before the pool even opened from our balcony. Some people said that the staff was unhelpful I disagree they helped me propose to my girlfriend they sent a bottle of caba to our room. Also my wife planned a birthday surprise with them, we came to our room un the evening to birthday decorations and a cake! Also the Jet2 representative Daniel is very helpful he knows the area well, knows all the best deals and goes out of his way to help even it has nothing to do with Jet2. He also helped with the proposal.
