After reading some awful reviews regarding D&V incidents, I was extremely nervous about staying here…EasyJet holiday team refused to move us to another hotel (that’s another story; didn’t see one rep there all week) so I was armed with all sorts of medications just in case. Thankfully, we were all perfectly fine! Well, almost…until my son swallowed some pool water by accident and spent the last day being violently sick. He knows not to do this but unfortunately, it happens. I’m a former lifeguard and pool attendant and I didn’t once see the water being tested for ph / alk levels once; there was no faint smell of chlorine as you came to the pool area and that would be a concern for me. The pool is busy and while it is clean and tidy, I would be worried that the source of all this d&v is there. I stayed in the room the whole time with my boy while he was ill and I didn’t get sick, nor did my two girls. On to the positives! The hotel is lovely, and the rooms are decent - they’re clean and there’s plenty of towels. The air con isn’t great though! There’s nowhere to hang wet clothes, which is probably me being a bit picky, but the sea breeze meant everything blew off the balcony rails and we nearly lost a few things! The staff are brilliant, especially the bar staff downstairs, and the guys and girls at reception were more than pleasant. We ate in the restaurant every day (half board) and the food is brilliant! There’s definitely plenty of choice and the complimentary fizz at breakfast was a lovely touch! It gets very busy at peak times so we’d go early and get a window table overlooking the beach and enjoy the view. We’ve been home since yesterday and neither myself or the girls have had any sickness, or any signs of it, and the boy is back to his usual self, so my advise to anyone staying there is don’t drink the pool water!! And visit the little beach bar to the left of the football pitch, it’s really lovely 🍹☀️

I booked this holiday before I read the reviews, so I was nervous before I went. We were careful what we ate (half board), but on the last day my adult daughter got D&V really bad. The hotel is very clean, the cleaning staff work very hard. We did go in the pool, so she may have swallowed some water, or eaten something. The cleanliness of the kitchen may need attention. I did mention her D&V to a few members of staff, some were sympathetic but unhelpful.

The cleaning seems excellent so maybe staff in the kitchen need checking out. Can’t say I’ve ever had it as bad
