Lovely hotel very clean and lovely friendly staff. Don't listen to negative comments. Some people are never happy. A lovely couple of staff brought up a bottle of chilled wine as it was my birthday thank you so much. The only down side was we was just above the outside bar area which could be a bit noisy but didn't spoil the holiday. Thank you to all the staff.

Stay from Monday 4th Nov to Fri 8th Nov 24. Firstly, this was booked with the best Company on Earth: Jet2 Holidays. I really cannot understand why this hotel gets even one bad review. When we compare it to what is available in the miserable UK you'd think people would offer nothing but praise. This was the second time I had stayed in this amazing hotel this year. This time it was just a short stay to recharge. Everything is first class about this establishment. It's kept spotlessly clean constantly and the rooms are so very comfortable. Cleaned perfectly daily. The location is perfect, every room has a sea view and to sit and eat a meal overlooking the beautiful ocean is priceless. The hotel is situation near to Fuengirola and there is a bus stop outside the front door. Someone had written in their review that it's very remote which is utter nonsense. I walked 2 miles to Fuengirola most days and the train station is a 15 minute walk away. You can walk to the right and left where there are restaurants and a supermarket. Every single member of staff here are so very helpful, very well presented, polite and extremely hard working, they take a real pride in their hotel and keep it immaculate. They were happy to indulge me in speaking Spanish which is an ongoing journey for me. The food is delicious with so much choice. I read within one review that there are broccoli and sprouts for breakfast, that is true but there's everything else as well. The hotel has to cater for every international traveller and some people eat that for breakfast. It's ignorance to think otherwise. The porridge (Avena) is delicious. The all inclusive package is fantastic value. There is a singer each night and the entertainment Team work very hard. There's plenty of sunbeds and the pool bar is always on hand. Free bottles of water and lovely coffee. However, the one aspect that spoilt my experience which was NO FAULT of the hotel was the behaviour of groups of British guests. Every other international guest was thoughtful, considerate and respectful however the British (of which I'm embarrassed to say I am one) were disgusting. There was a large Golfing group of males and then another group of younger males. All as they did was drink beer after beer after beer etc. The Spanish know how to drink, whilst enjoying a meal over a period of hours not knocking one back after the other. One afternoon I was sitting on the balcony and for 90 minutes I had to endure the men playing their, what sounded like 1000 watt Bluetooth speaker and singing/shouting (if you can call it that) at the top of their voices. There was zero consideration for any other guests. I can imagine if they were in my situation and had just gone away for a break or with their families they would feel the same. Finally Security told them to shut up. They were loud everywhere constantly, one sounded like an incarnation of Sid James, I can still hear his voice now. Then the younger group were running round the corridor at 00.30hrs, again with zero consideration for anyone else. I feel so sorry for the staff having to put up with this constantly. This hotel is not meant for those types of groups, if they want to do that then book a hotel in Benidorm which is set up for it. This is a 4 star, relaxing, couples and families hotel. I am not a kill joy or anything like that but there's s time and a place for groups like this. Despite them, I loved every second of staying in The Benalma and will be back as soon as I can. It is my second home : - ) A massive thank you to every single member of staff.

it was our second stay and it was amazing. we had breakfast and dinner. enough choice for everyone. Meat, vegetarian etc. the room is cleaned every morning. only once, I was so disappointed. we were at the beach from 10AM til 2PM and our room wasn't clean. than we took our shower, we are 4. the lady came twice and always said in 10 minutes she will come back. she never came, my daughter had an accident in the night and I wanted only that she got new bed sheets but the lady disappeared.

“Good hotel. Not recommended for UK October half term.”

Very nice hotel. Stayed B&B. Fantastic views. Very clean. I booked a superior room for my daughter and I and had a sea view despite not booking one. I suspect most rooms have a sea view given the location of hotel. Room big enough and bed huge. Breakfast pretty good. Can get omelette and eggs made fresh. Good selection of fruit. Coffee poor. Gym average. Family pool good but last day you could use it was 27 October. So, closed for the start of the UK October half term. Signage in hotel, on the app and info leaflet indicated the wellness area shut. It wasn’t. You have to request to use it. It’s the ‘spa’ so massage service that is shut. Thai restaurant also shut. Shut the roof top bar also. I do feel sorry for all those families arriving for the uk school holidays to find the family pool shut. They can use the small adults only pool which those who booked for the adults only pool won’t be happy about either I imagine. I emailed the hotel prior to booking and was advised everything open until 9 Nov. This is not the case and for that reason, I wouldn’t return for October half term. The hotel is very isolated but I knew this before booking. Limited restaurants around. We dined at Lucena 2 for three nights. Highly recommend. Train station ten min walk away. It’s less than twelve euros for two people return to Malaga. We went for a day trip. Also went to Mijas and visited the chocolate factory. Did get an Uber there. Bus stop outside hotel. Staff at hotel very nice. The beach bar restaurant was great for lunch. Recommend the octopus. This hotel is less than ideal for those with mobility issues. Only one lift big enough for a wheel chair.
