When we chose a hotel in Gandia/Gandia Grau/Gandia Playa we wanted place which is between beach and city. Gandia Grau is such place looking charts and hotel Porto, near port, is natural choice. However reality is something different than charts and from this perspective we would rather choose any hotel near the beach. There are a lot of negative comments about Hotel Porto, however according to our experience this hotel is not bed, surely there is space for improvement. Pros: Room is spacious, bathroom is very convenient, cleanliness of room and bathroom is at a high level. Food is quite diverse, there is a choice between meat, fish and seafood, but it is less appropriate for vegetarians. There are a lot of fruits. Breakfast is good, especially you can drain orange what some hotels of higher categories don’t have. The staff is kindly. You can have additional content such as using Jacuzzi, gym, solarium etc. Internet is free! Cons: Many rooms have no terrace. If someone wants talking out of room alternative is the nice park near the hotel but there is problem with drying laundry. Hotel has no this service! The space in the dining room is inadequate, guests push each other. Alternative is to lunch and dine in another room, in cafeteria. Also hygiene in the kitchen should be better. Staff speaks mostly Spanish and Valencian. And definitely who wants to look at sea or beach he or she should know that hotel is about 1.4 km from the main beach. Some things could be improved. For example in front of every window it can be bar for laundry or anything similar, or hotel should have drying laundry service. Dining room and kitchen should be in better condition and push between guests should be avoided. Staff should speak better English. With some improvements which could be realize hotel deserves a grade of 4. Of course the beach you cannot get close. But it is flat ground and the walk is not tiring. Gandia Grau and Gandia Playa are very nice, the beach is gorgeous, sandy on land and in the sea. The sea is very good for swimming, temperature of water is warm! You have big path around the beach for pedestrians, path for bicycles, a lot of shops on the other side of the streets. Who don’t like to walk from hotel to beach alternative is bus which is common. From port you can use ferry for Ibiza but Sunday is the best day, if you would want working day we have only one hour in San Antonio!? Gandia city is out of sea, it is modern city with very nice old part of city with several attractions. Who prefers shopping , the prices are very favorable because of summer discounts. There is pedestrian path from Gandia Grau to Gandia City but it is far, bus or taxi is better choice. The best way to get to Gandia from Airport Valencia is train. First you should use metro from Gandia airport to Valencia Nord railway station and then train, relation is about 65 km. The train is good price! We went to Valencia and visited science center and aquarium. It is unforgettable. Unfortunately for other attractions in Valencia you should more days, Valencia is exceptional city! Around Gandia there are attractions too but bus or train lines are not appropriate. For example link from Gandia to Xativa is not good and who wants to go the best choice is rent a car. For me coast of Valencia Community is very nice including relation price-quality. I will definitely go to vacation still in these areas of Mediterranean, next time probably north from Valencia city. Gandia is good destination and Hotel Porto with improvements can be very proper. We give grade 4 because we think hotel can improve and for relation price-quality grade 3 is not appropriate, it is somewhere between about 3.5 and with improvements reach up 4.

“Winter break”

We stayed here for a week perfect spot to get to Gandia beach and town, hotel food great staff helpful nice and clean only downside our room needed updating but we only sleep in the room 10 mins to beach and same to old town
