Absolutely beautiful hotel . All staff in every area Bar/Life guards/waiters/reception/cleaners was so friendly and helpful . The actual hotel its self is stunning and so clean . We were Half board but as soon as we arrived we upgraded to All inclusive which was 💯 worth it ( FYI there is 3 levels of AI to which give you different levels . We had Premium AI so worth it.) Food is plentiful and very tasty . Pooll area so pretty and also a. Bonus of a small aqua park on site . Rooms were beautiful spacious and the best beds I’ve ever slept in We didn’t leave the hotel for our whole 5 day trip accept for 2 hours at the beach which is 2 minutes walk away . Because we had everything thing we wanted on site. This is mainly Spanish 🇪🇸 visitors at this hotel but me and my friend really liked this as it gave it an authentic feel and to be honest everyone was kind and lovely. I have to say the animation team was all great we took part in riffel shooting and Aqua dance everyday which was fun. Big shout to the life guards especially Miguel helpful and friendly. And the bar staff helpful with translation and Agustova ( I think that’s how you pronounce his name ) on pouring us wonderful new tasting drinks. All in all to us 5 STARS every were and YES I would come back . Thank you Hotel PLAYABELLENA for having us !

This hotel is one of the best we have stayed in the rooms were amazing cleaned daily and even had a bath . As a large party we expected to struggle to find sunbeds but even in the day we arrived we were able to get sunbeds together no problem at all . The only problem was the pool was a little too cold . As a very fussy eater I don’t expect much but to my surprise I had something to eat our whole stay without any problems . It was a totally chilled holiday no loud music around the pool which was lovely. The hotel caterers very much for the Spanish very little English is spoken but it was a great holiday great atmosphere

“The best family hotel I’ve ever stayed at”

Everything about the hotel was fantastic rooms were excellent Food was great facilities were perfect But most of all that we were impressed with all the staff From the front desk to the waiters to the cleaners are fantastic everyone has a smile and so polite definitely recommend this to everybody

This is an honest review from a couple who are well traveled & in our late 50’s. We had a 9 night stay at this hotel during the last week of May. The hotel is situated in an area that is predominantly residential. There are a selection of shops approximately a 10 minute walk away including a small supermarket. The beach is literally across the road from the hotel however at the time of our stay there were no facilities available e.g toilets, cafe etc & no sun loungers or parasols. Most of the guests were Spanish with a few Brits & French. The hotel is very clean and our room was a wonderful size. Plenty of wardrobe space, 2 yes, 2 king sized beds & a fridge, along with a fully equipped bathroom including a bidet. The pool area is lovely & we never struggled to get a sun lounger, even at the weekend when many locals arrived for a short break. There are 2 jacuzzis and some quirky water features with a lifeguard on duty. The majority of the staff we encountered were friendly & polite. It is our well traveled opinions that the only gripe we had, the thing that lets the hotel down is the restaurant. We stayed on a half board basis & both breakfast & dinners were repetitive buffet style. Breakfast offered pastries, breads, cereals, salads etc & there was a single chef who cooked fried eggs & omelette to order. On a couple of occasions we saw a second chef making pancakes. Tea & coffee was self serve from a machine. There was also free filtered water available. Dinner was a big disappointment because although there was a reasonable selection, the majority of the hot dishes were barely warm. There were ‘speciality chefs’ cooking on rotation fish, pork chops, steak & turkey fillets & these though small were at least hot. The salad was pretty much the same every night as were the desserts. One important thing to note is the distinct lack of allergen information on the food labels-problematic for us with a shellfish allergy as some salads clearly had chopped up crab or prawns in them. In addition the prawns & fish were cooked on the same grill meaning the risk of cross contamination was very high so fish had to be avoided. Filtered water, whilst complimentary at breakfast was chargeable with dinner! On one occasion we queried why the food was nearly always cold & the waitress told us to use the microwave to heat it up!!! Another time I requested our table be cleaned upon arrival & the waitress took offence slamming down our glasses as she set the table! The hotel was by no means full however at times the restaurant was carnage-I dread to imagine how it would be in high season. It also baffled me how it seemed acceptable for children of a variety of ages to be running in the restaurant-the risk of a collision with someone carrying a hot drink was very high, yet staff just ignored this. If improvements were to be made in the restaurant this could be a very good hotel but from past experiences it is only worthy of a 3 star review from us. Midway through our stay we were emailed a generic questionnaire to see if anything could be done to improve our stay. We filled it in but didn’t receive a response & nothing changed! If you don’t object to cold soup, vegetables, moussaka, potatoes, casseroles etc then this hotel could be for you. Sadly we won’t be returning.
