Having written a review last October I am pleased to say that many of the changes witnessed during my last stay have been reversed. Gone is the crazy management team that were changing everything that was good about the hotel. No more fighting through the cigarette smoke at the front door and the constant replacement of staff. In fact a lot of the old staff are returning to the hotel and all seem so much happier. Also gone is the self service coffee and tea machine at breakfast and I am pleased a return to freshly made tea and coffee on request. The atmosphere that made this hotel unique is returning (Not to mention the amazing breakfast) Special mention to Severine on reception who went out of her way to make sure my stay was perfect. Thank you. See you in September

Having been let down on an initial booking we visited this hotel and booked the last 2 weeks in November 25 Initially we booked a room overlooking the swimming pool but decided a ground floor room overlooking the beach would be better and it was ,it was paradise. Its one one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. The staff were absolutely fantastic nothing was too much trouble. The optional breakfast was always freshly prepared and laid out. Our rooms were cleaned every day and towels and beds changed. We could leave our patio door open all night listening to the waves rushing onto the shore which was only 20 yards away and every night we got a quiet night sleep. Severine on the reception was lovely as was the bar staff, Alfredo, Estafan and Irene and the others and on the morning we left even the cleaners and waved us off. The Continental was like one big family and it was great to be a part of it. The food in the restaurant was excellent but the hotel is conveniently situated on the playa to sample all the other eating establishments. I can honestly say this was one place we did not want to leave. its a little gem and I hope we will be able to return again soon. Thank You for giving us a marvellous holiday with happy memories.

This is a great hotel located right on the beach. Hotels are no longer allowed to be built on the beach side in Mojacar so this is the only one (I’m aware of) due to it being built many years ago. The hotel is old, yet has been modernised with stylish and contemporary designs and finishes. There’s still room for improvement, such as the soil border between the restaurant and the beach hasn’t been planted and other minor things, but the stunning location far outweighs any negatives. We really enjoyed having a G &T on the hotel terrace watching the windsurfers and paraglide, kiteboarders. Our room and large balcony was right on the beach and had everything you could want, including an extremely comfortable bed. We fell asleep and woke up in the morning to sound of the sea, absolutely beautiful. The view of sunset and especially the moonlight on the ocean from the hotel is also beautiful. The restaurant, again right on the beach, serves a delicious breakfast with freshly cooked options, freshly squeezed orange juice, full barista coffee to order and everything you could want including healthy options. We always had an extra coffee after breakfast because the location is so nice. The hotel also offers meals and snacks throughout the day. The pool area has been recently refurbished and drinks from the bar are served there. We had no problem getting sun beds etc during our stay in June. We found all the staff to be very friendly and helpful. We are looking forward to visiting the Hospedium Hotel Continental again in future. Highly recommended.

“Hotel on the beach”
We had a very comfortable room on the ground floor, right on the beach overlooking the sea where we relaxed for a few days. Friendly staff, good choice of foods for breakfast including cooked option. Good value for money. Free parking Near to lots of restaurants and bars. Worth a visit!!

We have been coming to this hotel for the last 5 years. It’s still a very good hotel but appears to be under new management. The has been some changes from previous years. Gone is the fresh orange juice at breakfast replaced by a carton juice resembling orange Gone is the freshly made coffee replaced by a vending machine Gone are the majority of staff that recognise repeat customers (of which there are many ) replaced by younger members (presumably cheaper) A senior member of staff glued to his laptop chain smokes at the front door and in the restaurant terrace that displays no smoking signs. Customers moving to find a smoke free area. However this hotel is still great value for money but with a pending price increase and allowing standards to drop they are in great danger of losing many repeat clients and the great reputation this hotel had
